This group task begins with Apothecary Cadmael in the middle of Oceangreen Village. You must have completed his solo task, "A Secret Hidden in Plain Sight", before you can request this one.

    You say, 'Hail, Apothecary Cadmael'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'How do you do, _____? I seem to be running a bit low on [supplies] for healing at the moment, so if you have fallen ill or become injured, I'm afraid that I will have to urge you to seek out some other traveler with a degree of healing skill. My apologies!'

    You say, 'Supplies?'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'We have recently experienced a rather nasty spate of illness in our fine village. People are falling ill, and we can't seem to figure out what is wrong with them! I've tried everything - lilyroot, ashenmoss, even fresh purple flangers - but nothing seems to help. The strong can weather the disease and return to health in time, but those who are young and vulnerable or old and infirm... they may not be so lucky. I'm fresh out of [ideas].'

    You say, 'Ideas?'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'My only thought is that perhaps this has something to do with that [vile temple] outside of the village. Have you seen that place? It's disgusting and completely ridden with disease.'

    You say, 'What vile temple?'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'I've heard from some of the others that the people in that underground temple are worshipping Bertoxxulous, the disease god! If that is the case, perhaps someone should [investigate] to find out if their disgusting plague worship is causing the illnesses in the village. Or, perhaps you are prepared to [storm] the temple and root out the corruption within?'

You say, 'I am prepared to storm it'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'Thank you for your offer of help. I leave it to you to carry the cleansing light of Mithaniel Marr into the darkness. I can transport you into the temple when you are [ready].'

You have been assigned the task 'A Corrupted Arch Priest'.

With the Bertoxxulian cipher solved and Vaxtzn the Putrifier banished from the Temple of Bertoxxulous, the next step to cleanse the land of these vile cultists is to dispatch their human leader, the Arch Priest Cronkle. He lays runes of warding and clouds of disease throughout his lair, so any adventurers would be well-advised to proceed with caution. His most trusted lieutenants will surely possess some means of protection to hand out to the lesser worshippers, so they may provide the key to penetrating the lair of the Arch Priest.

    You say, 'Ready!'

Apothecary Cadmael says 'Good luck to you!'

    LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Temple of Bertoxxulous.

Note: A named mob - "Putrid Spirit" - can spawn in the southeastern corner of the Arch Priest's room. It hits for a max ~2,100 and casts "Putrescent Chains":

Putrescent Chains: PB AE 30', Disease (-500)
1: Increase Disease Counter by 24
    2: Decrease Movement by 40%
3: Decrease Attack Speed by 15%

Among its possible drops (1 item per kill):

    Putrid Bertoxxulous Etched Box
    Putrid Bertoxxulous Etched Earring
    Tarnished Skullhead Box
    Tarnished Skullhead Earring

Collect Bertoxxulian Badges of Staton 0/6 (Temple of Bertoxxulous)

Destroy the Arch Priest of the Cult of Bertoxxulous 0/1 (Temple of Bertoxxulous)

Three named mobs drop two badges each. Everyone in the group should loot one.

Trash mobs in this zone hit for a max ~1,500. None of the named hit particularly hard (~1,750 with no special abilities). All are stunnable and mezzable, except for the Arch Priest at the end.

Putrifier Moldows: Located in the library northwest (250, 160, 15) of the zone-in, just in front of the secret door to the hidden area.

Putrifier Moldows has been slain by _____!
Putrifier Moldows's corpse says 'From whence I came, I return again.'
Your faction standing with Plaguebringer Parishioners got worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of the Glade got better.
Your faction standing with Bayle's Irregulars got better.
Your faction standing with Cirtan, Bayle's Herald got better.

Disease Knight Cronvair: Located in room northeast from the zone-in (otherwise known as the fountain room 255, -200, -8).

Diseased Knight Cronvair has been slain by _____!
Disease Knight Cronvair's corpse says 'I am sorry master, I have failed you again.'
Your faction standing with Plaguebringer Parishioners got worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of the Glade got better.
Your faction standing with Bayle's Irregulars got better.
Your faction standing with Cirtan, Bayle's Herald got better.

Handservant Vicco: Located northeast of the zone-in in the bedroom north of the fountain room (395, -210, -2).

Handservant Vicco has been slain by _____!
Handservant Vicco's corpse says 'I am sorry master, I have failed you again.'
Your faction standing with Plaguebringer Parishioners got worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of the Glade got better.
Your faction standing with Bayle's Irregulars got better.
Your faction standing with Cirtan, Bayle's Herald got better.

Arch Priest Cronkle is on the top of the altar in the back far north of the main room due north of the zone-in. He can be pulled off the throne to the north and fought there with no adds.

First, you need to right-click on the ring to be make yourself immune from the room's DoT:

You feel a burning fever spread through your hands as the badge melds to your flesh. You feel more resistant to Bertoxxulian disease wards.

This reduces the persistent DOT from "Fog of Corruption" to "Fog of Corruption (reduced)":

Fog of Corruption: Single Target, Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 2000 per tick

Fog of Corruption (reduced): Single Target, Disease (-400)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 100 per tick
2: Increase Disease Counter by 16

    Upon engaging the Arch Priest:

Arch Priest Cronkle says 'You dare to brave the blessed rot of our Lord? Perhaps you fools are more formidable than I had imagined!'

He hits for a max ~1,750 and is immune to mez and stun. Upon his death:

Arch Priest Cronkle has been slain by _____!
Arch Priest Cronkle's corpse's body swells and bulges unnaturally, spewing diseased liquids in all directions.
Your faction standing with Plaguebringer Parishioners got worse.
Your faction standing with Residents of the Glade got better.
Your faction standing with Bayle's Irregulars got better.
Your faction standing with Cirtan, Bayle's Herald got better.

Upon his death, the spell "Disgusting Fluids" hits everyone:

Disgusting Fluids: Area - PC Only 75', Unresistable (-1000)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 3000 per tick

Return to Apothecary Cadmael 0/1 (Oceangreen Village)

    You say, 'Hail, Apothecary Cadmael'

Having slain the corrupted Arch Priest of the Cult of Bertoxxulous, the next step is to ferret out and dispose of his mysterious superior.

Can't get this quest solo with my 92 War + merc. from a post below it would seem that people are able to solo this but I keep getting the "can not be assigned because your party does not have enough members" message. Is this a bug or do I need at least two live people to request? Thanks

    Yes 6 hours.

at lvl 88 3.5kAA. I did in in less than 30min.

Most of mobs don't see invist except some Human looks like and the creature in south part of the temple.
If you go only to the named, few adds should aggro at same time (about 3-4 max) and then it is piece of cake.

I faced kind of bug. The first time I tried this mission only the first mob was up. I had to restart the mission. 2nd time I found them at the known places.

I would like to precise that when you say "storm" to Apothecary Cadmael, you will be assigned this mission and only when you say "ready" to him, you will be transported in an instanced version of Temple of Bertoxxulous ( still named "Temple of Bertoxxulous" ). So, this mission takes place in an instanced zone ).

This group task is giving by Apothecary Cadmael In Oceangreen Village. "/say storm" brings the task window up. Task involves killing 3 named to loot 6 rings (2 per named dropped), then killing final named on top the "throne" thingy in the northern most room. DO NOT enter the room without having "clickied" the rings or you'll be hit by a DoT, was doing roughly 1400 a tick on my necro if I remember right. After Cronkle (final named) is killed another DoT hit us causing 2390-2490 a tick depending on the character. Sorry didn't take the time to look at the name of it, too busy cureing it. Overall a very simple task, found 1 named in the "library" other 2 were on the east side, 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the room just south of it looking at the fountain thingy. Cronkle does NOT see invis, so we just got on top the throne thingy invised and surrounded him with pets as to not push him off to the south and agro the 2 golems. After he dead just hail Apothecary Cadmael to finish task. Reward was faction with Bayles Herald, a time shear fragment, and 180 Chronobines, NO EXPERIENCE for completing task.

Completing this task opened up the second group mission (sorry forget name off top of my head, and don't see it listed anywhere on Alla yet), first step is find the Slumlord, I ran around with Eye of Tallon to EVERY corner of the zone and did not find him, assuming you have to kill X number of mobs before he pops. Didn't go any further just called it a night. Going to try it tomorrow night and hopefully will get more info.
