 This is a sub-task to be completed in conjunction with its grand task, "The Grand Illusion". It begins with Phara Dar in the Field of Scale.

Upon receiving task "The Grand Illusion":

Phara Dar says 'We shall see ______. We shall see. In order to make a convincing illusion, I will need a [ribcage], a [foot], a [hand], and finally a [skull]. Once I have all 4 pieces of this skeletal puzzle, not even Ganak himself will be able to see through your disguise.'

You say, 'What about the skull?'

Phara Dar says 'I suspect this will be your most difficult task, _______. The skull I require must come from one who holds great power within the Iksar forces. I doubt you can confront Ganak or Kurn directly, but I am sure you can find one of command within their ranks. One word of caution though, ______. This skull must not have any of the former owner's life essence remaining within, as the illusion could overpower you and give your body to the soul of the slain commander.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Skull of the Ancient'.

Find a suitable skull for Phara Dar's illusion 0/1 (All)

Go to the Field of Bone (yes, the Field of BONE) and find Commander Koth (undead) in the Kaesora ruins. Kill him and loot the Petrified Skull of Commander Koth.

Deliver the skull of Commander Koth to Phara Dar 0/1 (Field of Scale)

Hand the skull to Phara Dar for win.

Phara Dar receives the skull with a puzzled look upon her face.

Phara Dar says 'Strange that you bring me this skull, _____. Our scouts report Commander Koth is alive and well within Kaesora's walls. How you came to acquire such an item I do not fully comprehend, but your task is done, and you have delivered what I asked of you.'

The Iksar tail bones and other Iksar bones received from completing tasks in FoS are combined to make Baron Yosig's Skeleton.

EDIT: Due to a recent patch, none of the tasks relating to The Grand Illusion quest are repeatable. Koth, as stated, is on a 20 minute timer.

The skull is NOT pre-looteable

There is a 20 minute respawn on Commander Koth. He only drops 1 skull. He hit an 85 bst with a respectable amount of defensive aas for a max of 2800. I did not witness any special attacks by him.

No, only the skeletal version of Commander Koth in Field of BONE works, not the living version of Commander Koth in Field of Scale.

THE SKULL OF THE ANCIENTS: Go to The Field of Bone (NOT Field of scale) and find Commander Koth (undead) in the Kaesora ruins he is a cup cake took him out with an 85 merc and 85 shaman Loot his Skull and give to Phara Dar
