    This is one version of five "Refugee Rescue" tasks. You can keep requesting them until you've gotten all five. It begins with Parthar who is located in the tunnel of the Old Commonlands (center of the large clearing).

    You say, 'Hail, Parthar'

    Parthar says 'Greetings _____. It's nice to see a new face around here. We've been holed up in this cave for so long I sometimes think I've forgotten what the sky looks like. That dark army out there has been a problem for a while now. Fortunately they haven't found those of us who made it here. The [others] weren't so lucky.'

    You say, 'Others?'

    Parthar says 'We all got some sort of advance warning about the approaching army, and most of us hightailed it to this cavern to hide. There were a few that were a bit too slow in clearing out though. The army caught them and has been holding them in their camps. I'd like to [rescue] them but those soldiers would make short work of me. Perhaps you would be willing to help out?'

    You say, 'I'll rescue them'

    Parthar says 'Perfect! From what the last stragglers to arrive here said, the prisoners are being kept in pairs. I've managed to find out who was paired with who, but not where they are being held. You'll need to find them and then see what you can do to get them out.'

    You have been assigned the task 'Refugee Rescue'.

    Many of the residents of the Commonlands managed to escape ahead of the dark elf armies. However, Fenia and Germe ThreadSpinner were caught and are being held prisoner. Parthar has been looking for anyone willing to assist in rescuing them.

    Find Fenia and Germe Threadspinner 0/1 (Old Commonlands)

    Location aproximately +820, +2075.

    Kill 6 members of the Obliteration army 0/6 (Old Commonlands)

    Clear the camp and allow them to escape 0/1 (Old Commonlands)

    If you aren't close to the NPCs when the last obliteration mob is cleared from the camp, you won't get the escape update. They will flee automatically when the last obliteration mob is dead.

    Did this in a group *with* mercs today. Did not Suspend them or do anything special merc-related.

    *Did* have an agonizing time finishing the task, but it was because I only had 21 mobs initially. I wandered around the zone and found a DE Ob Assassin and Ogre Ob Warlord that looked very out of place, trained them to the Army of Light to kill them, then checked and found they had respawned in the camp. Once I cleared the camp -- again, *with* mercs -- of all 23 mobs, both my remaining refugee rescue tasks updated.

    Completed this quest today on Antonius Bayle - had a 92 warr, 86 monk and 79 ranger. I checked that all 23 mobs were up before engaging and then pulled half on one pull, killed them and then got the rest on the second pull. I fought them between the 2 tents with the refuges in and got task updates for both sets of refuges as the last mob died.

    This quest is still bugged. Petitioned and did everything GM's suggested and even a few things I thought might work. I got Fenia to stand up but not walk out of the tent. Bug reported on 10/1/12. See if they can fix it in next patch.

    Here are my petitions and discussions with GM's. They even go so far to say this is a solo task and you cannot have a merc or party to get credit. Smiley: laugh

    Other posts here state they did it with groups. None of the other Refugee Rescue quests require that and I did those and got the updates just fine, so there is definitely something buggy about this.

    I submitted a bug report as I have dropped the quest twice and it still will not update when i kill around the tents and yes I had 5 kills so they should have walked away and I should get credit for them being able to flee.

    Relogged and got the tasks again. I even killed them inside the tent and still no credit for completing the task. I will now try only getting one task or the other. I also read on a post on Zam that there is supposed to be 23 mobs in camp and if there is not that it will not give you credit. Can you verify this as I only counted 21?

    I did as you suggested and killed in the camp in front of the tents without a merc making sure they could see me when i killed the mobs around their tent. Iwasnt in a group either and it still didnt update. The other rescue tasks update just fine. Should I try dropping the task and restarting it? I am going to try that as I do not know what else I can do as I have tried everything else.

    How are you not supposed to kill this without a group or a merc? Considering you have to clear the whole camp by yourself before respawns which appear to be around 5 minutes? You cannot finish in time.

After testing this quest out by myself on your server, I was able to verify that as long as you are not with any other party members or mercenaries, you will successfully receive credit. Since this task is intended for solo players; proper credit would not be received upon attempting it with a group.

    Yes I did that several times even when they were starting to respawn and it still did not update. I cleared the whole camp while standing in the middle to ensure the update would work as I read posts about you having to do this to get the update and yet it still did not work.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting in-game support. When you clear the camp, you need to make sure you are near the NPCs so that you can get the update and they can flee. If you are not close enough to the Fenia or Mojax when the camp has been cleared, you will not get the update. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.

    The quests in the Old Commonlands known as Refugee Rescue (Fenia) and Refugee Rescue (Mojax) are bugged. Had a group and killed the mobs around the tent and killed them in the camp and the quests didn't update. We even went as far to clear the whole camp and it still wont update.

    This is the typical run around you get anytime a paying customer uses the petition system for everquest. Anytime you ask for a GMs assistance they act like they invented the game and are doing you a favor by even taking the time to respond to you. As you can see in this example of a total fail at being a GM . Bad information. Responding without doing the research. Implying the customer is lying. Misinformation and improper links. Sony on line entertainment takes my money every month and then lets these people mismanage my account and overall add to the bad experience a paying customer is going through.
    You wouldn't do this to me in person ! People don't treat me this way in stores or normal businesses, but somehow we ( SOE Customers ) accept these behaviors and attitude like its the normal way of doing business. You can read in the response how tiresome this all must be for them to respond.
    Personally I despise the petition system it is the one biggest failure of EQ and SoE. There should be a proper customer service line for contacting paid employees of Sony to discuss your account.
    I personally won't accept this anymore. I am an adult and I own my own business and there are legal ramification for failure to provide services and product for fees paid. The people at Soe corporate home office are going to get to know me over the next few weeks . I won't be using the petition system any more.     I don't really find that your " solution " is acceptable. If you had in fact looked at the inventory of the characters I created on beta you wold find the aqua goblin mask there like I said and not implying I made something up. I guess your calling me a lier.

    I purchased the Urthrons ultimate unattuner and it says nothing about it being a single use item or it being a temporary item. In fact its listed as a heirloom item and like other heirloom items I thought it would stay witht this account. it dissapeared after one use and it thats the way it was intended I wold like my 432 crowns back. It didnt say anything about one use and I thought it would be a good purchase considering how long I have played EQ and how much gear I have gone through.
    Secondly I would like my aqua goblin maks back on this account. I made acopy of this toon for beta, and on beta I was messing around and I claimed one of my rewards thinking it didnt matter since it was a COPY. The item is missing from my account and I would like to have it back for me to use on this server ( Zek ). Unless your willing to transfer that druid here with the Lucid Orobane gear and 8k aa points . My point is I dont think we should pay for these mistakes .

    Hey guys;

    All the quests work just fine and I am doing them over and over just because the experience/faction bumps are better then any other I have found in Bloody Kithicor. It has been said before but just to clarify: when you request the task with the phrase "rescue" the task offered is random so this means that you might get a duplicate task offered on your subsequent tries. If you get a duplicate task you will see the text "I have nothing for you at this time..". Simply say the phrase "rescue" over and over until you get all 5. The lockout timer on this task is 4 hrs.

    To find each camp run out of the tunnel hang a left and run almost to the opposite side and look for tents that look like teepees. Each camp has a good chunk of about 8 Oblit mobs in it. You can stand outside the camp (at first) and harmony pull to get singles. Without harmony you can still get singles but most of the time you get 2 or 3 (they are not that hard) and they can be mezzed. There is a chance for a named spawn in each camp too and I have found that the spawn rate of the named is really high. They are not too tough to kill but they do enrage on the last bit of health. As long as you are standing in the camp when the last one dies you will get the update to finish the task, so kill the last one(s) in the middle of the camp.

    The double tents camp is the hardest because you have to clear everything to get your task updates and there are 2 tasks in that large camp. To make matters worse on this particular camp there is a band of 4 Oblits that can add to the fight which just complicates matters and makes the fight longer. You really can't go slow on this one because of respawn so chop chop. =)

    I was able to clear this camp before respawn as an 85 Bard with 26.7k hp/4003ac. I first cleared the entire camp for Fenia, thinking it was just a fluke. Not knowing that the task requests were random, I again cleared the camp successfully for Mojax. Be sure to request BOTH the Mojax and Fenia Refugee Rescue tasks to save you tons of time.

    Assuming you are a skilled bard and know how to charm kite, you will be able to solo these tasks with ease. The key to clearing the camp lies within our charm song that we receive at 84 (I used the Rk. III version so you may get resists with Rk. I or II). Before you do ANYTHING, put up Aura of Rodcet as you WILL get hit doing this. Any amount of health regeneration without overaggroing is vital at this point. Starting with the inside of the big tent, train everything out (be sure to get all the mobs behind the tables), then around the camp to gather up everyone. You may get some on top of the big tent so if they don't aggro, just Boastful Bellow them down. Remember: You are not pressed for time until you start killing. Make sure you gather everyone up. Now start by mesmerizing one mob, running away, swooping back in to charm, then sicking your pet on the train. You will have to run the train back onto your pet as you have 4+ mobs, so don't stop running!

    Important: Do NOT break charm. You want your pet to die quickly. Repeat this process until you get to 4-5 left. At this point, you want to intercept the patrol of 4 that walks around. Add these to your train to gain more dps. Once all the camp mobs are dead, bring the patrol close to their pathing and fade. Quickly run back to the camp and you should get updates for both tasks. If there are a few mobs left in the camp, charm them and toss them back at the patrol.

    If you are afraid of getting tagged (close to one-shot) by the train, keep a healing mercenary out. PUT YOUR MERCENARY ON PASSIVE. If you do get tagged, fade, put your mercenary on reactive, get a few heals, then put them back onto passive. Another trick you can do is as soon as you sick your charmed pet onto a train mob, drag the train back onto your pet then mesmerize a new mob. By the time your mesmerize wears off you should have already had your previous pet killed, swung around, and charmed the mob. This will shave a few minutes off before respawn happens.

    You should be able to solo the entire Blood of the Fallen augment with a healing mercenary. Good Luck!

    Count the Obliteration mobs. If there is not 23 in the camp, you will not get the updates. I spent approx 8 hours on this camp (I'm stubborn!) after researching I found the problem is that people train (or warp) the mobs out of the camp, and they get stuck somewhere else in the zone. If all of them dont die, you don't get the update.

    I only had 20 mobs in camp and finally found the missing mobs out in the zone. 2 were Ogre warlords and one DE Warlord. I trained them from where they stood and then they pathed to the camp they were supposed to be in and I finally had 23 mobs to kill, and voila, got the update!

    Look everywhere in the zone for mobs that are similar to what you have in camp and try to 'unstick' them by training them or killing them.

    there are two refugee quests bugged atm this one and further down line

    u can clear 50 mobs and commander and keep doing it and u get nowhere

    tried this 2 different ways tonight--first, standard kill-em-all with players--got to within 2 Obliteration mobs before respawn, so more dps is definitely a must here
    second, trained Light Side mobs from tunnel all the way up--worked beautifully, but they were so efficient they eradicated every last Oblit mob from the camp--if you use this method, best to take only 5 or 6 Light Army mobs instead of 15 like I first tried--therefore, we didn't get the last kill and no update

    finally, we retried the training method, but with 6 Light Army mobs--this worked nicely, but upon reaching the final mob (which our necro had parked far away so the LA guys woudln't kill), we killed it just outside our refugees' tent--no update

    i dunno how people are finishing this task, sure wish i did

    Tried this camp (Fenia/Germe and Mojax/Skipynn) today. Cleared it easily with dru+wiz+mag, no repops. And no updates. I'm willing to call borked on this.

    When I did this, I was in high dps group for the last part of this quest, the first 3 or 4 parts are fairly easy, but there is one camp that like a double sized camp. Very tough to clear with one group. My group hooked up, luckily, with another group in the zone at the time working on that quest as well. We cleared one side, they cleared the other side. When it came down to the last mob, Everyone from both groups beat on the mob. Both groups got credit and it was a win win for everyone on the rescue. I don't think both groups actually had to hit the last mob but we did it anyway just be safe.

    It would seem that getting the update for the rescue you just have to be near the NPC that needs rescuing. Getting credit for killing the members of the obliteration army is easy if you were getting repops.

    tried doing this for almost 5hrs and u can't clear the camp before the mobs start respawning. they need to add about 5 more mins to the respawn on mobs in zone and it would work fine.Had group of 85dru/85war/82ench war mercs for dru/ chanter, cler merc for war. could get down to 4 sometimes 3 mobs left before respawns started. guess ill try again when wizzy friend shows up or ill try out Carnagethorn's solo trick

    Quest is still bugged. Tried it on Saturday May 2nd 2009 and kept the camp clear for an hour. Still no update. Fantastic. The only two tasks I need to complete my blood of the fallen ~.~

    I soloed this tonight as a druid, the other camps re easy but this camp with the 2 sets of prisoners was quite difficult to say the least..I prefer to solo all quests, and what I did to beat this is as follows:

    Bind in the camp in front of Fenia's tent, train all army of light soldiers (minus named because thier runspeed is different and makes it quite annoying)
    to the camp.

    Aggro 4 or 5 obliteration guys from the camp and train them along with the light guys.

    Vinelash Cascade all said mobs, then evac, then gate back (if you zone slowly this will not work)

    By the time you get back, the army of light will be down to 1 or 2 mobs, quickly aggro 4 or 5 more and train them *through* the army of light guys, then vinelash them on the other side. the army of light guys will pick up aggro on them and when the initial vinelash wears off they will come kill them.

    pull 4 or 5 more and repeat the previous step

    by the time your down to 3 or 4 army of light guys, they will be needing help, so toss dots/nukes/whatever on the obliteration guys on these final pulls.

    the army of light will not be enough, and when the last one dies you will have 1-5 obliteration mobs left, burn them down root-rot style or whatever you wish for the win.

    *note* I suggest you pull the big tent first, (to your left if your standing in front of Fenia's tent looking at her) as this tent can potentially warp to wierd parts of the zone, thus bugging the entire thing and wasting your time. if you foolishly wait to pull that tent untill last, then if they warp you will not find them all before respawns start, and even if you were able to find them, you would not be at camp when they die thus you would not get your update.

    *note#2* The important part of doing this is to not waste any time, if you ever leave the army of light guys without any aggro, a few of them will warp away and the remainder will start pathing back to thier camp. So time your pulls correctly or fail, simple as that.

    *note#3* Do not attempt to pull singles to your host of army of the light guys, even though this strat would facilitate having enough army of light to finish the job, it by nature will take so long that respawns will ***** you.

    this quest is buggy as hell. even if you catch the mobs that try to run, still no update, and this is after at least 15 tries between the people i was with tonight, way to go sony, another bugged task
