This is a non-progression task. It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Kanetheus Forestwalker (click for map image) in the Norrath's Keepers camp of the Lavastorm Mountains.

Pre-requisites for requesting:
- Minimum Level 59
- Minimum "amiable" faction with Norrath's Keepers

Hail him to get a quest selection window pop-up.

You have been assigned the task 'Storm Dragon Scales'.

Our spies report that a handful of storm dragon scales were recently given to one of Yar'Lir's most powerful advisors, a goblin warlock know as the Storm Caller. We need you to organize an expedition to recover these scales before the goblins use their newfound power against us. Be careful, for the Storm Caller lairs high on the peaks about Stillmoon, and it is rumoured he has rudimentary control of the weather itself.

Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here.

Touch the cave entrance to The Ascent 0/1 (The Broodlands)

The entrance will be marked on your compass. It's found in the snowy mountain area west of the non-instanced entrance to Stillmoon Temple.

Kill 30 Ascent Creatures 0/30 (The Ascent)

You zone into the Ascent about halfway up the top half of the mountain. Kill any 30 mobs in the zone. You'll have a kill target at the summit, so make your way up (you should get all 30 kills by the time you reach the top).

Kill 1 Storm Caller 0/1 (The Ascent)

The Storm Caller and four mobs called "an Ascent storm" spawn as you enter the summit area. Two of the storms are on either side of the summit entrance. The Storm Caller, flanked by the remaining two, can be found to the southeast of the summit, high on the clearing walls. None of the mobs see invisibility.

The Storm Caller raises his arms as you approach, summoning swirling winds from the thin, high-altitude air.

"an Ascent storm" hits for a max ~800; has ~35,000 hitpoints; and is mezzable and stunnable.

"The Storm Caller" hits for a max ~1,000; has ~56,000 hitpoints; does not summon; and is snareable/rootable.

Loot 1 Storm Dragon Scales from Storm Caller 0/1 (The Ascent)

Deliver 1 Storm Dragon Scales to Kanetheus Forestwalker 0/1 (Lavastorm Mountains)
