Narex T`Vem may be found in the warriors guild (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Narex T`Vem'

Narex T`Vem says 'Welcome to the Cauldron of Hate. If you are a young warrior, you have come to the right place. There are many [duties] to be performed. If you are a veteran of the blade, we welcome your return to service. Perhaps you return with a [Leatherfoot] skullcap?'

You say, 'What duties?'

Narex T`Vem says 'I am so glad you asked. There is one matter of importance with which you may be able to assist. It seems an Erudite has made camp in Lavastorm. He is powerful and we do not expect you to slay him. Your mission is to cut off his supply line. I hope you will [accept the mission].'

You say, 'I will accept the mission.'

Narex T`Vem says 'Go to the Lavastorm Mountain Range. It is a dangerous place, but the one you seek must leave by the direction you entered. He is a goblin. Apparently the Erudite is employing their strength. The fire goblin runner shall be an easy kill for you. At least, he should be. Return his runner pouch to me.'

Head to Lavastorm Mountains, kill a Goblin Runner and loot its Goblin Supply Pouch. Turn this in to Narex.

Narex T`Vem says 'Fine work. I trust the denizens of Lavastorm were not unkind. Please take this featherweight pouch as a reward. May it keep you fleet of foot.'

Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood got better.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors got worse.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors got worse.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice got worse.
You gain experience!!

Need cut-off level to receive quest, /loc of a goblin runner.

I checked again and he still hadn't spawn. So I wondered if I had to kill a mob before he would spawn, so I nuked one goblin at the camp, and immediately he spawned and went to running. I followed him, and he didn't go to a second camp, instead he went to the Nektulos Forest zone entrance (102, 0). He waited there 2-3 minutes and then headed back to his camp, where his life abruptly terminated. (:

I just did this on Phinigel, classic era, Dark Elf Cleric, at level 5, successfully. The runner was a white con at level 5.

I was not able to do the turn in at indifferent faction (which means the hide trick doesn't work). I could do the turn-in at Amiable. I had to drink an Indigo faction potion plus cast Collaborate in order to bring my faction to amiable. Narex T`Vem loc is n35, n1142, n53. Find does bring you to him.

As for the Goblin runner, he appears to run between 2 camps (one camp at 2164, 794 and the other location is unknown), despawn, and then respawn 5 minutes later to run to the other camp. I found that if I just camp near Miner Welnik at 1051, 501 he runs by and I can root or nuke him. I tried to do this quest a second time and waited at least 15 minutes and never saw him. So he may have a long despawn time after being killed (I checked over an hour later).

Updated the faction hits. Which NPC is the /loc for (don't want to assume the goblin...)?

On my Dark Elf SK I con indifferently to him. He won't take the the Goblin Supply Pouch from me. When I type out "What duties" or even "I will accept the mission" he just tells me. "Go!! Return when you have done more to serve the Indigo Brotherhood of Neriak. Fewer Leatherfoot Raiders in Nektulos and a few Leatherfoot skullcaps in the palms of Master Narex shall prove your true warrior nature and loyalty to our house." Just a little FYI

The fire goblin runner dropped the goblin supply pouch for me. Ran right by the Nektulos zone line. I hailed Narex and asked "what duties" and he says something about a powerful Erudite, and I need to cut off the supply line. I say "I will accept the mission" and he tells me to kill the fire goblin runner and return with the pouch. Upon giving him the pouch, you get +Indigo Brotherhood, -Emerald Warriors, Steel Warriors, and Primordial Malice.

A lot of people tell me they wait forever for this guy. I was actually going to get bricks for the Bazaar ore quest and he was just standing there all innocent-like in the goblin camp at -413 -88. Wasted him and he dropped the bag for me. Yay.
FYI
# Dec 24 2002 at 3:03 PM Rating: Decent
I have personal done this quest on several servers and the stats for the bag are incorrect on the site. Here is the stats I got after doing the quest 7 times with different characters and servers.
Featherweight Pouch
LORE ITEM, NO DROP

Weight: 0.2
Classes: All Classes
Races: All Races
Inventory Slot: Inventory
Number of slots: 6
Weight reduction: 5%
This can hold Small and smaller items.

Just thought I give the correct info since so many people don't actually do the quests like to give incorrect info.

Easy
# Jun 10 2002 at 9:15 AM Rating: Decent
This quest is easy, If you wait near the entrance to Nektulos forest, then you'll hear and see a little golin running. He runs pretty fast though, so if he passes you, you might not be able to catch up, unless you have sow. But if he does pass you, wait a few more minutes and he'll be running back the other way.

Goblin Runner vs Fire Goblin Runner
# Aug 07 2001 at 7:10 PM Rating: Default
To do this quest, you need the pouch dropped by the "goblin runner" that runs down the alley to Nek Forest. NOT the "fire goblin runner". My sk found the fire goblin runner near the zone to the temple. He dropped a pouch, but Narex wouldn't give her anything for his pouch. My cleric got the goblin runner by the Nek zone, he dropped the right pouch, and she was able to do the quest.

Alas, poor souls should you need faction with the brothers, the treasures of the halflings do suffice. However, if you should be of a so called "enlightend race" your dees will be your undooing. If your blood runs cold and your mind is filled with hatred, the notes for delivery and the caps of the halfling protectors will do. The diciples of Innorruk will cleanse their land of all that is pure.

Early one morning i happen to spy the goblin runner resting his bones by the fire in his camp. Others of his meager kind where about also, warming their little bodies. In a flash the runner was headed for his destination not knowing this was his last.
Innoruuk's Children...

Near the opening of Lavastorm from the tunnel to Nektulos Forest, the Fire goblin runner sprints back and forth every once in awhile...he's fairly easy to kill, but you do hafta watch out for the occasional fire elemental and imp that wander about. When you take the goblin runner's pouch back, you better worship Innoruuk, because I have one as a dark elf enchantress, who worships said deity. If you don't have ANY faction with The Dead, then you might want to /shout for a dark elf to come loot the pouch, otherwise you'd waste time trying to build up faction...well, the voice of reason will "Shaddup shaddin' up" now

RE: Innoruuk's Children...
# May 01 2001 at 6:16 PM Rating: Default
OK, fine...

You must have some form of faction with the Indigo Brotherhood to obtain the Featherweight Pouch, oops!

There are a few ways to raise faction with them,

a) Kill the wood elves on Sister Isle in OOT
b) Kill slaves in Crushbone
c) Do the Leatherfoot Raider skullcap/orc pawn pick quests

So I erred and was thinkin of the dude givin the Cloak of the Undead Eye quest/Sir Lindel's(sp) testimony....either or, it's a no drop quest reward and a question of faction is always the case. The correct faction group is like the two before me stated is the Indigo Brotherhood...how you get the pouch is up to you.

You can also improve your faction VERY easy if you buy red wine and give it to the guy in the library. It costs a few plat, but your faction is fixed very fast. I have done this with an Erudite Necromancer, and his faction is ally status now.
RE: Innoruuk's Children...
# Dec 24 2002 at 3:11 PM Rating: Decent
In order to do this quest you need Indigo Brotherhood faction, The wine quest does not give you that is only gives Dark Bargainers, Dread Guards Inner, and Dread Guards Outer.

# Apr 25 2001 at 8:25 PM Rating: Default
Well I gave him the runner pouch and he said my head would look nice on the wall. Crap. I can do the skullcap quest still so will keep doing it until my faction is better than dubious. Also, killing Elf nobles in Innothule Swamp seems to raise faction with these guys. Managed to get another goblin runner pouch, stuck it in the bank for a rainy day.
RE: Innoruuk's Children...
# Apr 19 2001 at 3:12 PM Rating: Default
This quest has nothing to do with The Dead, which is the SK/Nec faction of the Dark Elves. This is a warrior-based quest, so you need Indigo Brotherhood faction. My Ogre SK (Rallos Zek) conned dubious but they allow me to do the leatherfoot skullcap quest, so I will give him the runner pouch (which I finally found last night after a week in there) tonight.

It seems pretty much impossible to raise faction with The Dead if you are dubious to them to start out...they won't allow me to do any of the quests.

# May 15 2002 at 9:16 AM Rating: Default
The High Elves that spawn near the wizard spires and drop the newbie caster quest cloaks give positive dead faction...and alot of negative faction hits as well for good races.

Pretty sure this has nothing to do with the runner pouch quest though.
Dont try as a Eurodite
# Feb 22 2001 at 8:54 AM Rating: Default
I tryed this as a eurodite i made it all the way to him w/ my lvl 10 eurodite while invis i gave him the pouch and he told me your head would look nice hanging in the indogo broutherhood or some thing like that so if you want this bag you better be a dark race or you will have no hope
Where can u find them??
# Jan 23 2001 at 1:23 AM Rating: Decent
i've been in this zone a thousand times and i have never seen a fire goblin runner are they rare???
RE: Where can u find them??
# Feb 15 2001 at 9:11 AM Rating: Excellent
Ok first of all for those commenting on other pouches.....the quest item is the 'Fire Goblin Runner Pouch' not a gnoll runner pouch or crushbone orc runner pouch...FIRE GOBLIN! ;)

Now he generally spawns enar the nek zone and runs parallel to the mountain zone wall...then disappears....he is an uncommon spawn and i must admit to having only seen him two or three times at most...

Keep looking...hes there :)

# Nov 25 2000 at 7:23 PM Rating: Default
I just killed a Crushboned Runner in Greater Faydar who dropped a Runner Pouch, I have no idea weather it works for this quest or not...
RE: crushbone runner
# Jan 22 2001 at 7:52 PM Rating: Default
I dont know either...but you are ******** up your Indigo Brotherhood faction by killing Crushbone orcs anyway. So if the pouch does work for the quest you'll never find out, cuz at best you will have horrible faction in Neriak warrior guild, and may even be KOS to them.
RE: crushbone runner
# Jan 20 2001 at 6:16 AM Rating: Default
I picked up a runner pouch in High Hold Pass, from a gnoll, if i remember right...dont know if it works for the quest either.

the orc runner pouch is uesed for a queest in kelethin i theink the ranger's guild give the bag to the ranger guy and you get somthing but its worthless unless you can sell it but i think its no drop so by the time you can get its its worthless

# Aug 29 2000 at 11:38 AM Rating: Default
Are Ogres KOS in Neriak? I thought we were both evil races, I know I go to the Ogre city often with no conflict. :-) Does this bag have special powers, because I don't see anybody listing its ability? Happy Hunting! ~Beware of the Dark Elf named Grym
Fire Goblin Runner
# Aug 13 2000 at 11:11 AM Rating: Good
I found the actual completion of this quest to be disappointing, though the rewards were nice. I spent a lot of time over the course of a more than a week trying to find a fire goblin runner in the corridor between Nektulos and Lavastorm. The only way I managed to finish the quest was to go and ask for the quest one more time, run to Lavastorm and park there until the runner came, and it took him nearly an hour and a half to show up. Spending that much time watching the clouds go by was boring to put it politely. Once the runner showed up, he was an easy enough kill, and I found loot on him in addition to his pouch that sold for gold. The pouch given as a reward has come in very handy, but will only hold smaller items.
RE: Fire Goblin Runner
# Jan 02 2001 at 6:11 PM Rating: Default
You may have to give 4 Leatherfoot skullcaps to the warrior to get the firestorm quest started.

Can find them in the Hobgoblin camp in the Nek forest

RE: Ogres
# Nov 16 2000 at 1:23 PM Rating: Decent
Ogres are not KoS to the Neriak warrior's guild; they are only KoS to the necromancer guild to start with (my deity is Rallos Zek, so this may also have factored into the faction table). However, you don't start with enough faction to even train from the warriors, and I've found previously that in this case you don't always recieve the reward from quests. I would suggest raising your faction with DEF warriors guild first, and then try giving him the pouch.

can't get any of the faction quests for indigo brotherhood.

do i have to travel to crush and kill elf slaves to raise faction first? or is there an easier way i have not found yet?

I am Groteskh, Ogre shadowknight. This dark small pointy-ear glowered at me, and when I gave him the puch, he said sometihng about hanging my head on the wall. I left, and looked for something easier to kill and eat.
