This group task is the second in a series of five and begins with Clockwork Warmarshal, who is located near the Ak'Anon Strike Force camp at the zone-in of Fortress Mechanotus.

At the end of "Scout Gyrospire Beza":

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'Though it would seem a small thing, be destroying the Chamberlain steamwork you have upset their day to day operations. If you are interested, there is more you can do in gyrospire [beza].'

    You say, 'beza'

    You say, 'Hail, Clockwork Warmarshal'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'Hello there soldier. It's good to see so many Norrathians rally to help stop this menace! Since our crash and my [promotion] to leader of the Albatross' ground forces, I've been overwhelmed with necessary military action and underprovided with forces to complete those actions. I know it's unusual, especially since you are not officially enlisted for this action, but perhaps you could [accept orders] from an old clockwork and help out all of Norrath in the process? Or if you and your allies are truly brave, someone needs to make forays into those dratted [gyrospires] if we're to have much of a chance getting reinforcements up here.'

    You say, 'Gyrospires?'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'In addition to the Fortress Mechanotus, Meldrath made three other spires that he uses as roving tower defenses. Though he called them guard towers, and they could help intercept attacks, intelligence we have gathered indicate he also planned to use them in his attack on Ak'Anon. When Ak'Anon made it's counter attack we managed to destroy one of them before we were unable to continue to fly. Our intelligence indicates that they are called gyrospire [beza] and gyrospire [zeka].'

    You say, 'Beza?'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'There is a clockwork and a gnome that seem to be the head of the overall operations of gyrospire beza. Engineer Severin is in control of the machinery that makes the tower run, while Captain Gearmost the clockwork is in overall charge of the gyrospire. I would like you to find them both and [remove] them. You may have to get the captains attention somehow.'

    You say, 'Remove them?'

You have been assigned the task 'How Does Your Garden Grow?'.

The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.

If you have not completed Beza #1 then the Warmarshal's response will instead lead into the task:

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'We have found that there is a garden outside of the tower of gyrospire beza. While we are not sure of its purpose, it seems to have permanent guardians for some reason. If it is important enough to be guarded, it is important for us to [destroy] it.'

    You say, 'Destroy?'

You have been assigned the task 'How Does Your Garden Grow?'.
The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.

The Clockwork Warmarshal wants you to destroy the flower garden outside of Gyrospire Beza.
Go to the catapault that will launch you to Gyrospire Beza.

Go to the Gyrospire Beza Launch Catapault - 0/1 - Fortress Mechanotus

    Kill 27 Steamworks - 0/27 - Gyrospire Beza

    Kill 8 Minotaurs - 0/8 - Gyrospire Beza

Destroy some of the flowers in the garden to see if you can draw the attention of the garden keeper - 0/5 - Gyrospire Beza

Flower garden is outside.. click the center flower in each garden.

Kill 1 Garden Keeper IV - 0/1 - Gyrospire Beza

Return to Clockwork Warmarshal and report your progress - 0/1 - Fortress Mechanotus

Return and report your progress to Clockwork Warmarshal. You can leave the gyrospire by using the catapault close to where you landed when you first came to the gyrospire.

    You say, 'Hail, Clockwork Warmarshal'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'Destroying the garden has caused some confusion, so it did what we wanted. We are not sure why it was important, but it must have been. If you are interested, there is more you can do in gyrospire [beza].'

Your task 'How Does Your Garden Grow?' has been updated.

While we are not sure what the garden is for, by destroying it you seem to have caused some confusion within the gyrospire.

Your faction standing with Ak'Anon Strike Force V got better.
You have successfully been granted your reward for: How Does Your Garden Grow?

    You say, 'beza'

Clockwork Warmarshal says 'For the next task we will want you to disable the attack forces of gyrospire beza. These attack forces are lead by a clockwork called Commander Shockmost, and a minotaur called Hartmut. We do not know much about Shockmost, but we have a bit more information about Hartmut. Harmut is a bit odd for a minotaur. He does not like to fight, despite the fact that he leads the living troops and the other living servants in the gyrospire. So he should be an easy kill. Are you ready to [remove] the leaders of the troops?'

Sorry if this is a multi-post...submitted it once and it was there, but when I came back it was gone.

    ------------------------------

The flowers to destroy are in the middle of each grouping of flowers in the garden. There is a single one in the center which will disappear when clicked. When the 5th one is gone, the namer will spawn in the middle of the garden.

The namer cons red at 80, hit me for 1792 max (3736 AC, 35 shielding).
Occasionally, he spawns "a bomb." Probably hp-based; it looked like they came at 90, 70, then 50. Not sure why none spawned at 30 or 10. Possible they are procced; they spawned right at my feet.

Anyway, the bombs last for about 5-10 seconds, then they explode, casting an AE called "Small Explosion," a 3k nuke which was fairly easy to resist. http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=7639&source=Live

Almost all of the quest is doable without entering the main building. We only had to go in to get our last 12 steamworks.

Exact text for last step is "Return to Clockwork Warmarshal and report your progress".
