This group task is the final task in a series of five and begins with Clockwork Warmarshal, who is located near the Ak'Anon Strike Force camp at the zone-in of Fortress Mechanotus.

Clockwork Warmarshal says, 'It seems that this tower is a weapon. The catapult at the top of the tower has incredible power and it must be stopped. This catapult is powered by the extra power room you found right under it. All of that extra power will give anything it launches incredible power. I need you to go into the gyrospire and see how much [damage] you can do.'
    You say, 'damage'

You have been assigned the task 'You Might Poke an Eye Out'.
The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.

NOTE: Copy and paste the map files locations (listed below the task steps here) into your SHIP zone map file.

Go to the Gyrospire Zeka Launch catapult 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Kill 35 Steamworks 0/35 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Acquire the explosives you need from the armory 0/10 (Gyrospire Zeka)

This is the small room identified as the Repair Room in mission two.

Set a bomb at the end of the south propeller power shaft. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb at the end of the north west propeller power shaft. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb at the end of the North east propeller power shaft. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb near the main power core. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

The propeller power shafts are in the basement. Plant one bomb at the end point of each of the wings of the Y shaped room. The main power core is where the three wings meet.

Set a bomb near the base of the east power pipe in the catapult power room. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb near the base of the west power pipe in the catapult power room. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

The pipes are on the raised platform at the end of the room.

Set a bomb near the water container in the back of the catapult power room. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb near the northern vent of the central power in the catapult power room. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Set a bomb near the control chair of the catapult. 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

This is where Zeka Controller II stands.

Set a bomb between the supports of the catapult 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Kill 1 Zeka Controller II 0/1 (Gyrospire Zeka)

Return to Clockwork Warmarshal and report your progress 0/1 (Fortress Mechanotus)

    You say, 'Hail, Clockwork Warmarshal'

Clockwork Warmarshal says, 'You managed to do significant damage. Thank you for the assistance you have given. It seems that Meldrath is rather efficient at making repairs, but it is likely to take a while. Since he does these repairs, we find that we need these tasks repeated. If you would like you can repeat any of the missions in gyrospire [zeka].

While the tower did not fall, it has been badly damage. I may take some time for Meldrath to repair it.

Go to that exact location to place the water bomb. If you just go to the water container and try to put it next to it it wont work.
    corrected loc

    w0w hell mission
    # Jun 07 2008 at 2:20 PM Rating: Decent
I just wanted to post and express my gratitude for detailing the several locations from which to place the bombs... this mission was grueling (like it took me literally 5 of the 6 hours to complete) and required clearing nearly the ENTIRE inside of the structure (from the very basement level, to the first level, to the second level, fourth, and roof)...

i admit to not having the ideal means (as far as group classes and their progression... i.e. not all of them were full solteris/sof gear), so supposing you have such quality friends or group members lfg- you could honestly bust out all of this within a fraction of the time i did (i imagine at best an hour to an hour and a half). but it took me this long WITHOUT having to figure out where to place the bombs, and had I been required to figure it out (like several of the other faycite missions which aren't fully detailed), i'd probably not have finished it my first attempt.

i just wanted to explain three things that may help you: first, two named are present in the zone. the first named (sorry i don't recall his name, but he's in the room just before the ramp leading on up to the catapult room... or if it helps you to picture it better, he's in the room past the ramp leading up from the fueling room- where all the coal piles/oil barrels are located... there are 3 rooms on the right, leading up from the fuel room- he's in the 3rd room, furthest on the right) is where all 10 bombs are located (round looking objects on the floor, groups of 3/3/4 all around the room)... there are NO extra bombs, so like volley said- you absolutely can't afford to f00k up the placement (but the info he posted regarding said bombs is PERFECT)- the only other named is located at the very top of the roof, with two adds on each side of him- which is also the location of the second to last bomb placement. second, the bomb placement MUST be done in order (starting from propeller shaft to catapult room to roof catapults)... it won't allow you place them out of order. finally, after the 5 hours it took me to figure out what all went where, who all to kill when- i laughed so hard as i finally understood why it was this mission was called: you might poke an eye out. hopefully none of you will have to make such realizations because this mission is totally doable in under 2 hours.

**ALSO** i thought it appropriate that the zone ended up yielding a random aug drop: the universal cog (sorry i forgot from which mob... again i was just content to finish within the time frame to not have to redo this hell mission)... but it's 20 ac 50 hp/mana/end with additional stats as well as secondary mods... imo it should have dropped 6 of those damn augs for the trouble my group went thru- but hey- it was just icing on the cake :)

good luck and i'll post what info i discover during the next (S.H.I.P.) missions for the final crystal to try and save you guys some of your life <3 peace

This mission took forever. Finding the exact locations for the bombs is a pain. There is very little margin for error, the bomb locations have very small update range. That being said:

Power shafts are in the basement:
end of the south propeller power shaft. @ -416,122,-32
end of the north west propeller power shaft. @ -172,197,-32
end of the North east propeller power shaft. @ -175,48,-32
near the main power core. @ -273,122,-32

Catapult power room is room just below roof:
base of the east power pipe in the catapult power room. -261,-18,464
base of the west power pipe in the catapult power room. -261,17,464
water container in the back of the catapult power room -127,-46,459
northern vent of the central power in the catapult power room. -158,-12,459

Last two spots are on the roof:
control chair of the catapult. -306,-2,652
between the supports of the catapult -252,6,605
    locs?
