Zeka #4: Cut Off the Head

This group task is the fourth in a series of five and begins with Clockwork Warmarshal, who is located near the Ak'Anon Strike Force camp at the zone-in of Fortress Mechanotus.
Clockwork Warmarshal says 'It seems that this tower is a weapon. The catapult at the top of this tower has incredible power. Your explorations have also lead us to be concerned about the captain of this gyrospire. I would like you to go to gyrospire zeka and destroy [Captain] Model Gearwell.' You say, 'We will destroy him' You have been assigned the task 'Cut Off the Head'. The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass. The "something acidic" is Cleaning Fluid which drops from clockwork spiders and goos in the tower on the way to Captain Gearwell. The tower controls are right next to Captain Gearwell at /loc -124, -12, +607. You only need one Cleaning Fluid since it has three charges. The plans you smudge are located on the first floor, in the planning room (loc -150, -23, 14). The something you need to smudge them with is a Glob of Oil, you get this by clicking the oil drums in the refuelling room. The Globs of Oil are clickies, stand near the plans and click to smudge them. -150, -23, 14 - best to start at one end and inch your way through as you click the oil. Click one of the piles of coal to get an item called Handful of Coal. This works like the Globs of Oil, stand near the valve at /loc -205, -6, +299 and click. Throughout the fight Captain Gearwell will dispel both himself and his current target. Be ready for the tank to lose buffs and reapply debuffs to Captain Gearwell. You say, 'Hail, Clockwork Warmarshal' Clockwork Warmarshal says 'By destroying the head of their operation you have seriously crippled their ability to use gyropsire zeka. If you wish to continue to assist us there is more to be done in gyrospire [zeka].' Your task 'Cut off the Head' has been updated You have defeated Captain Gearwell. Your faction standing with Ak'Anon Strike Force V could not possibly get any better. The loc for Step 5 and Step 6 is the same. For Step 5, you need to click on the valve. For Step 6, right click on coal. These two steps must be done in order.

the plans you smudge are located on the first floor, loc -150, -23, 14 (puts you at the in front of the door where the several schematic looking things are laid all across the room)
hope this helps! also, mid fight- the named cast some 4 slot dispell (just a good note to keep in mind, in case your tank or something foolishly omits crap buffs... or self buffs in my case) heh GL !

The tower controls are right next to Captain Gearwell. You only need one cleaning fluid since it has 3 charges and it drops from the spider mech's or the goo.

The acidic stuff is Cleaning Fluid and drops off of random mobs in the tower on the way to Captain Gearwell.
