This raid task begins with Larquin Fangbreaker in the Loping Plains.

Mercenaries DON'T count as players for this task.

Maria Starforge says 'You have been a great help _____. The spirits of Kor`therin owe you much. Larquin has told me he has several important assignments for you when you're ready.'

You say, 'Hail, Larquin Fangbreaker'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Maria told me what you've learned about Ralkor's Crystals ________. That's very interesting information indeed. By disrupting the ceremony last night we've put these beasts on their heels. We must strike quickly while they are still recovering! Up for something a little more [dangerous] ______?'

You say, 'dangerous'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Ralkor is certainly infuriated at having his ceremony disrupted. I suspect that he may be sufficiently enraged to do something reckless. I suspect he's becoming desperate for new warriors. He'll certainly send out raiding parties to capture more slaves and Crushbone orcs. Now is the time for us to assault the keep while many of his forces are away. Enter the throne room of Crazok Moonfang and slay his Moonfang council. With them dead, Ralkor will be nearly defenseless.'

In order to request this raid you must have completed the series of five group missions as well as the first Bloodmoon raid, "The Fanged Moon".

There are no pre-requsities for participating in the raid. Minimum size is a group of 6 players, they do not need to be in a raid format and do not need to be present in zone to request.

You have been assigned the task 'Crazok Moonfang'.

Maria Starforge has asked you to enter Bloodmoon Keep and kill as many of the Moonfang council as possible.

Maria believes that Falstaff may be able to help you in some way. Enter the keep and speak with him.

Speak with Falstaff Moondancer 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

You say, Hail, Falstaff Moondancer'

Falstaff Moondancer says, 'So you've returned to the temple. Maria was right to send you now. I can sense then fear and uncertainty on the wereorce drifting through the stone passages. If it's the Moonfang's you're after I think I can be of some assistance. The west side of the temple holds a secret entrance to Crazok's stronghold that will put you very near to his throneroom. Perhaps you can surprise them.'

Enter through the secret door 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Slay the Moonfang Elite 0/5 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Find Crazok's Throneroom 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Slay Crazok Moonfang 0/1 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Plow your way through the elven ghosts (west upon zoning into the non-instanced Bloodmoon zone) up to Falstaff's room where you'll find the secret door.

You will first encounter Balvik Spiritshadow and Malkazor Darkshadow. They are in the first room from the zone-in. Both are leashed to the room. (If they leash, their health resets to 100%, so avoid that.) Off-tank one while you kill the other. Both have massive HP, hit for a max ~7,500. Balvik Spiritshadow flurries; Malkazor has no special abilities. Neither of them enrage.

Malkazor has an aura called Shadow Cyclone:

Shadow Cyclone
1. Decrease Hitpoints by 5500 per tick

You'll know he's cast his aura when you see (and if you have spell effects on, you should see it):

Malkazor Darkshadow conjures a vortex of dark energy!

Balvik has a regeneration aura, which greatly increases the orcs' regeneration if they're in it. Keep them away. You'll know he's cast it when you see:

Balvik Spiritshadow invokes an aura of healing power!

Malkazor Darkshadow has been slain by _____!
Balvik Spiritshadow has been slain by _____!

a dark crystal begins to sparkle with new energy as the Moonfang lie dying on the ground.

The three remaining "elite" are in Crazok's throne room: Grendol Wolfmaw, Harlos Stonethunder, and Korvak Stonefire.

Once you "find Crazok's Throneroom", everything in the room "activates" and aggro's your raid (mobs activate one/few at a time - first Grendol, then his worgs, then Crazok + Korvak + Harlos).

Crazok Moonfang shouts, "Enough of these games! Kill the intruders and feast on their bones!"

Crazok Moonfang bellows out an echoing roar! You watch in wonder as his body twists and contorts into the largest orc you have ever seen. The floor trembles with each footfall as he charges into battle!"

Once activated and off their original aggro, they remain active and have normal aggro ranges.

Grendol Wolfmaw single-target rampages and has much fewer hps than the first two mobs. He is also surrounded by six "a bloodmoon worg" (mezzable). They can be split from one another.

Grendol Wolfmaw has been slain by _____!

Korvak Stonefire has an aura associated with him, called Stonefire Bomb (nukes for 6000). If you have spell effects on, it is visible as a sparkling golden cloud that moves around the room.

Korvak Stonefire has been slain by _____!

Harlos Stonethunder has two different AE auras: Lightning Cloud (chain nukes for 3500) and Earthquake (decreases hps by 4500/tick and reduces movement). Stay out of the aura - they make for very quick deaths.

Harlos Stonethunder has been slain by _____!

Crazok Moonfang hits for a max ~8,000; AE rampages (weak) and casts three spells:

Bloodmoon Lycanthropy: Single Target, Unresistable (0)
1: Charm up to level 0
2: Illusion: Werewolf

Crazok's Bite: Single Target, Unresistable (0)
1: Unknown #377 (100/13263/0)
2: Increase Disease Counter by 36

Crazok's Roar: PB AE 50', Chromatic (-450)
1: Fear up to level 0

If you can handle the five "elite" orcs, Crazok Moonfang should be fairly straight forward (just corner and burn.)

Note you can kill the throne mobs in any order you wish. The chest spawns after Crazok's death, regardless of whether the other mobs are up.

Crazok Moonfang has been slain by _____!
Your task 'Crazok Moonfang' has been updated.

A chest spawns in the throne room following Crazok's death. Loot includes 1-2 Runes (first list) + 2 items (second list) + 2 armor pieces (third list):

Humming Finsternacht Rune

Bloodrime Pauldrons
Bloodseeker's Veil
Lunar Horns
Moonblade of the Bloodcrazed
Scarlet-Lined Bloodsash

Steel-Studded Leather Armwraps
Steel-Studded Leather Tunic
Steel-Threaded Satin Robe
Steel-Threaded Satin Sleeves
Steel-Welded Plate Breastplate
Steel-Welded Plate Vambraces
Steel-Welded Ringmail Coat
Steel-Welded Ringmail Sleeves

Completion of this raid allows you to request the next Bloodmoon raid, "Ralkor's Crystals".

3 online + 3 mercs online doesn't work
3 online + 3 offline works, raid format not required, just like Anguish

Per admin request above, I can confirm this task is given by Larquin Fangbreaker (not Maria.)

Task request dialogue is:

You say, 'Hail, Larquin Fangbreaker'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Maria told me what you've learned about Ralkor's Crystals ________. That's very interesting information indeed. This shared task is named Crazok Moonfang as of 12 Aug 08.
Named
# Jul 24 2008 at 12:08 PM Rating: Decent
Named involve-

Balvik Spiritshadow
Malkazor Darkshadow
Grendol Wolfmaw
Harlos Stonethunder
Korvak Stonefire
Crazok Moonfang

They all hit for about 8k max, save Crazok who hits for closer to 10k. They all mitigate melee damage. Balvik and Malkazor seem to have about 5mill hps. Grendol Harlos and Korvak have considerably less. Crazok somewhere in between.

Every mob save Grendol Wolfmaw have auras, each aura is different.

Balvik has a healing aura that if he stays in it, he regens astronomically. Malkazor has an aura that if you stand in it, it will DoT you until you step out of it, it appears as a debuff in your song window. The auras move randomly around the room.

Harlos and Korvak each have 2 auras that randomly move around the raid. Harlos does Lightning and earth. Korvak does Fire and earth. The Lightning aura is pretty much an instant killer if youre caught in it, as it does about 3k dmg for what feels like every .1 seconds. The earth isn't so bad, it has a snare effect plus some damage. The fire aura does about 4k damage per second while ur standing in it. All these auras are visible and roam around on the ground randomly. Expect alot of deaths during Harlos Stonethunder.

Crazok has a random fear aura, it doesn't really work that well for him after the initial pull, mainly just a DPS fight.

After you kill Balvik and Malkazor, and go to pull Grendol, the instance will auto aggro all the mobs surrounding Grendol to the raid, then shortly after Grendol will auto aggro, then shortly after that Korvak, Harlos and Crazok will auto aggro. All in all, there will be about 10 mobs heading to the raid, including 4 named after you enter Crazok's throneroom. How you deal with these is your business.

Oh and FYI, if you do BM2 before you have BM1 done and in your task timer, you will get BPs and leggings instead of Sleeves for 2 of the loots.

Hope it helps.

Is BM 1 raid a prerequirement for this raid? As in would a guild need to clear BM 1 to request BM 2 while the lockout was still active?

I can confirm that it's Larquin that gives this raid task, and that dangerous is the trigger word. Maria does Not give this raid no matter what I say to her.

Infusable is just a tag to represent that it is effected by powersources. It sounds like you want to know if anyone can link a gyro-cored version.

You should kill your way in coz its not marked on map atm.Head to about 10o'clock direction and keep clear the path mobs, you will find the instance easily.

The boss hit not that hard if compare with FC raid mob,but they have Wild rampage and an AURA that nasty DoT if u keep it on your song window. Hide from yourself is the hint.
