This group mission is the first in a series of five and begins with Larquin Fangbreaker who can be found in the Loping Plains in the Fang Breakers camp near the zone-in from the Steamfont Mountains.

    You say, 'Hail, Larquin Fangbreaker'

Larquin Fangbreaker stops sharpening his sword long enough to look you square in the eyes. What's this, another arrogant adventurer come to 'aid' [the Fangbreakers]? Don't lie to me _____. You're here in search of gold and glory, just like all these other greedy fortune hunters. Go tinker with some of that mad gnome's toys above Ak`Anon if you're going to pretend to be a hero. At least there you won't be in my way. Better yet, go play under the feet of that insane behemoth wandering around Dragonscale!

    You say, 'The Fangbreakers?'

Larquin Fangbreaker snickers loudly, 'Look around you _____. The finest force of hunters that Norrath has ever known! [Ralkor Bloodmoon] believes his orc forces to be invincible behind his high walls, but he has no concept of the full fury of the Fangbreakers now focused on him.'

You say, 'Who is Ralkor Bloodmoon?'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Ralkor Moonfang is the high chief of the Bloodmoon tribe that has recently taken up residence in the ruins of the cursed Elven fortress of Tresthin. Ralkor has taken the ruins over and now calls them Bloodmoon Keep. From there he strikes out against the creatures of the Loping plains. His ultimate goal is yet unknown to us, but it is certain that it can mean nothing good for Faydwer. This new [curse] must end here and now.'

    You say, 'What curse?'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'Ralkor and his orcs are cursed with lycanthropy. They transform into ferocious half breeds at the whim of Luclin's moon. It was believed that the orc race was immune to the effects of lycanthropy, but it seems the recent waning of Solusek Ro's sun has effected the balance of day and night to such an extent as to allow the creation of these new beasts. Enough talk! If you're going to keep asking questions you're going to have to do [something] for me.'

    You say, 'Something?'

Larquin Fangbreaker says 'The orcs are regularly seen accompanied by large worgs that they keep as pets. I need someone to go into their stables and thin their numbers. While you're in there see if you can't get a hold of some of the harnesses they use to train them. If we can keep them from training new worg pets it'll weaken their forces considerably.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Bloodmoon'.

Larquin Fangbreaker has tasked you to kill several of the wereorcs and their worg minions in Bloodmoon Keep. He has also asked that you steal a crate of wolf harnesses from the wolfmaster.

Enter Bloodmoon Keep 0/1 (Loping Plains)

Kill 15 bloodmoon worgs 0/15 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Kill 15 bloodmoon orcs 0/15 (Bloodmoon Keep)

Collect 5 wolf harnesses 0/5 (Bloodmoon Keep)

The harnesses can be found in "an equipment crate". There are two of these in the first stables, two in the second, and one in the third. Your "Kill count" will be achieved long before you reach the last crate.

Deliver 5 Bloodmoon Wolf Harness to Larquin Fangbreaker 0/5 (Loping Plains)

Larquin Fangbreaker says, 'Well done, it seems you may have what it takes to join the fangbreakers. I'm getting ahead of myself though. Tell me more about these [spiders].'

103 mobs in the instance. hard to tell how many hp a mob has due to heals that are sometimes cast by the various mobs. 70 - 250k. As a 95 rogue, most mobs take 30 seconds to kill. highest hits seem to be near 1600. takes less than an hour to clear. so far have cleared 3 missions trying for the cursed rage channeler. Will keep track.

edit : up to 7 missions ( 721 mobs) no luck yet. if the 1 drop per 1000 kills holds true, it may be a bit.
edit : up to 13 missions. not feeling good about this. got 4 bloodmoon stained faycites and 1 ralkos fang. all 5 augs from orcs or spiders. nothing from worgs yet
edit: up to 17 missions. in missions 2, 8, 9 12, 14, 15 got the bloodmoon stained faycite. mission 12 also dropped the ralkors fang. nothign from worgs so far, all from orcs and spiders
edit : up to 20. mission 18 saw ralkos fang drop off an orc. nothign else.
Edit: started teaming up with a level 85. I got the missions and we cleared them. 30 mins cycle easily when we were lobby buffed. did 4 one day and picked up another bloomoons endless draught and 2 faycites, 3 the next time with no drops at all. then today. 1st missions nothing. then 2nd mission bam! finally cursed rage channeler dropped. it came in the back among the spiders. I was so excited i didnt even look to see which mob dropped it. But a check of my logs showed a wereorc claw also with it. So it was either a spiderfang or the rager i dragged into spider area to kill a bunch at a time. so if my math and records are correct it took me 41 missions to get it. good luck everyone, I actually wanted 2 more.
Edit: yep back again. 10 more missions in past 2 days. nothign in 1-5. 6 and 7 gave the bloodmoon stained faycite. 8 and 9 nothign again but just got another cursed rage channeler in misison 10. it came off a rager or cleric. i was so excited again i didnt check which corpse it was. I just swapped toons and ran to loot. It is definitely not level based on getting mission or what pevel toon gets the mission. this time i had myself ( 95) plus merc and another 95 and his 95 merc and another 95 who logged after i got it.
Edit: 10 more misisons. I have ot push myself for this last one I want. mission 2, 4, 6, 7,9 and 10 got the faycite. mission 7 and 9 got the ralkos fang
Edit: and yet another 10 missions. got various aug drops - stopped counting - but not another boozemaker or da item.
Final Edit ( i hope): mission number 76. 2 ralkos fangs and a cursed rage channeler. the 3rd and final one I wanted. It came off a bloodmoon assassin. I am very relieved and pleased. good luck to anyone else who farms these. This particular mission was just myself and my merc and a 95 nercromancer friend who was afk in guild hall. I dont see levels as having anythign to do with it. Slightly disappointed I didnt get anymore endless draughts, but that was goingto be a bonus item anyways. maybe when I am level 100 I can come back!

I used my wizard to shroud to 70 and popped a 70 merc. then grouped with the 80. then got misison. swapped to the 95 rog, had the 80 drop wizzie and add rog. the misison was stable. then i went and cleared. so far did this 3 times and got nothing in mission 1 and 2, but mission 3 dropped the bloodmoon endless draught and the bloodmoon stained faycite. posting here so i have the info available

Did 4 more misisons today. 1st and 3rd got ralkors lost fang, 2nd and 4th got nothing.

    Questions about the mobs

Do the regular mobs (trash) in here have any special abilities like rampage, flurry or enrage? Anyone have any info on the DPS the mobs put out or at least what they may hit me for as a chain class? Are they highly resistant to any certain spells, like will my slow stick? Do I have any chance of doing all the group tasks as a duo of ranger and shaman with healer+warrior mercs? THanks for any input.
    Questions about the mobs
    # Jun 10 2009 at 10:52 PM Rating: Decent
They hit my 77 war tank for a max of about 1500.

    Everything(?) sees invis.

I'm duoing with my 85 druid who pulls with snare and then zones out as needed to get rid of the adds. Kind of a pain but doable. The three mobs hidden around the left corner past the first door are particularly annoying.

Some mobs are clerics who can fully heal themselves with one spell. Very annoying. Do the usual stuff against them.

Haven't noticed druid spells (including snare and root MR based spells) having any particular difficulty landing. Haven't noticed any unusual attack abilities like rampage or enrage, they may flurry and I don't notice though. They do seem to stun an abnormally high percentage of the time but maybe that's just me.

    Update Rare Zonewide Drop

You can add Cursed Rage Channeler to the rare zone-wide trash drops. I was there last night and one dropped for us off of a bloodmoon rager. Congrats B9!

    Worked fine last night.
Bronzebeard is a werewolf. After he is released, the next task is to kill him.
Killed him, told the quest giver, and received a Grimy hand.

    Little More Info
    # Nov 18 2007 at 7:51 PM Rating: Decent
Did this one this eve, group make up was as follows:
    76 Druid
    76 Ranger
    75 Warrior
    76 Cleric
    76 Chanter

First off - pull east room is correct -- mobs are packed in tight. Zone in area is empty and kitable if want go that route - no mobs summoned. Biggest chore is splitting -- the mobs are packed in like sardines. As druid - i pulled useing snare and egress - worked for the most part except for the 3 orcs just to the left in that first room. We got them pulled by tank training em to zone out - i snared one and zoned -- then had single when zoned back in. Clear the entire room -- will end up with about 10 or 11 orcs on task dead -- and bout half yer worgs dead. Once clear - open the 2 crates in there and loot 2 harnesses. We moved group to bottom of the stairs then -- started clearing second room -- same way -- snare and egress. There are 2 more crates in the second room and by then the kills will be done. Secret wall in the corner leads to more of the same -- 2 mobs at every archway -- last crate is in the room just past the couple curves. Tank just trained out the room as i went in and looted last harness.

Of special note are the assasins - they are invis - true SOS -- when had those pop up - went into tank train mode and druid snare one. Aggro range was relatively small -- can keep group opposite side of where training or egressing and no aggro.

All in all - was fun task to learn -- took us every bit of the 6hrs to find everything but we got the win -- got 20% XP at 76 during that time.

Mobs have a jazillion hitpoint and hit like a mack truck. Warrior said was getting hit for about 4K per round -- cleric started with a pulse and went into immediate and constant CH chain healing mode. Chanter was able to slow all the mobs -- most the time without having to tash. Not sure what the task leads to in the end - will post more when do next one.. GL to ya'll -- is a fun and challenging task.

    Edit:
everyone in group was full TBS ally gear cept warrior who is ex raider - has GOD / COA gear.
all mobs con red and yellow -- worgs yellow except the armored ones - they con red. All orcs con red at 76
