Erradien is located in the port-in tower of the Dragonscale Hills.

You say, 'Hail, Erradien'

Erradien says 'I am sorry but I have no time for idle conversation right now. My sisters and I use most of our energy protecting this Citadel from the brownie [menace].'

You say, 'Menace?'

Erradien says 'Ah yes, I have been told of your deeds in assisting us. You may provide to be a worthy ally in these trying times. By alas, your duties are to be tested again. We have heard word of a brownie assault growing against us. If you were to dispatch of their numbers we would be [grateful].'

You say, 'Grateful?'

Erradien says 'Thank Quellious, may she keep you tranquil in your journeys.'

You have been assigned the task 'Mash Brownies'.

Go out, locate the brownie encampment, and reduce the number of brownies for Erradien.

Kill 20 Darkvine brownies. 0/20 (Dragonscale Hills)

A large village of brownies can be found in the southwestern section of the Dragonscale Hills.

Speak with Erradien. 0/1 (Dragonscale Hills)

You say, 'Hail, Erradien'

Erradien says, 'You have proven to be a great light in the darkness that the brownie queen brings upon us. Speak with Kaerra if you seek to aid us further.'

Thanks for posting your reward. Faction gains for many SoF factions are scaled up based on how much hCHA you have, I've added what I -believe- is the BASE reward for the quest with no hCHA Modifiers.

After completing this task, you recieve yellow text that says "You have proven to be a great light in the darkness that the brownie queen brings upon us. Speak with Kaerra if you seek to aid us further."
Your faction standing with Ladies of the Light got better.
You have successfully been granted your reward for: Mash Brownies

The following with kindly faction, not known what minimum is

You say 'Hail, Kaerra of the Light'

Kaerra of the Light says 'I am sorry but I have no time for idle conversation right now. My sisters and I use most of our [energy] protecting this Citadel from the brownie [menace].'

You say, 'menace'

Kaerra of the Light says 'Yes. The brownies as you probably know by now have been attacking us more frequently as of late. We have found that they plan on harnessing the energy that is created from this citadel for their own purposes. We cannot let that happen so that is why we sent out another adventurer to infiltrate their area and report back with their plan of attack. She has not returned yet and we have grown worried. If you [find her] and retrieve the information that she has we will be grateful.

You say 'find her'

Kaerra of the Light says 'Excellent! Last we heard she was somewhere around the brownie area. May Quellious guide you in your journeys.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Rescue'.

At level 71 I couldn't get the quest. So I would say that you have to be 75 to get it.

My guild did this quest as a raid. We had two mages Call of the Hero'ing people back and forth to the Ladies of Light castle and the raid camp in the brownie town, one of whom was the raid leader so he could make group changes as needed for the coth's. When a DPS'er was close to the 20 kills, he would get the COTH, and wait at the quest giver till the 20th kill was registered, hail, get reward, and get next quest, then back to the fight. If it was a tank or healer, it slowed down a bit due to fewer tanks and healers at the raid site. The whole raid got quest credit for the each of the brownie kills no matter which group was doing the most dps to the brownies. Individual faction credit for each kill was dependant on the usual need to do damage to the brownie, heal a player doing damage, or something like that. I missed faction boosts for some of the brownie kills until I discovered AE spells and group buff spells as being useful. AE root or spells buffing the whole group made sure I would get a faction boost for each of the kills on the brownines under attack at the time. As a single group we were completing one quest every 30 minutes, but as a raid it was down to ?ten or fifteen minutes. Over all it probably took me ? 16 hours or so of constant killing to do all of the quests both solo, grouped, and raiding that resulted in ally status.

Just be glad it appears to be only 40. After trying to fix my faction for the druid epic, I'm so sick of faction. I guess the EQ developers think that killing the same mobs or doing the same quests hundreds of times is somehow fun.

I got a nice drop in Anguish, but gave up. After several days of faction work so I could do the turn in and not seeing any change, that's not my idea of fun. Grabbed the item and hit the old Destroy button. That was a lot more fun than the last 20 or so quests I did trying to build faction.

Now that I see I need to kill around 800 brownies, that's not fun either. I guess I'll move on to some other quest. They should have alternate paths. Challenging quests that take skill and knowledge to complete with great rewards. And then mind numbing stupid quests for those that don't want to go the other route.

I'd rather do a 100 step quest than do 100 1 step quests. At least then you're doing something different. Well enough of my rant.

I was told by someone who got ally faction with Bertoxx that it requires about 40 missions to go from dubious to indifferent so you can probably guess this is the same way.
Only 2 steps...

Kill 20 Brownies and then go back and hail the Task Giver.

Hard part is fighting the itty bitty brownies (hard to see, LOL).

killing the darkvine brownies gives positive faction hit to Ladies of Light and Negative hit to Darkvine Villagers.
I missed the 2nd step in quest but it is "talk with Erradien" or something close to that.
Completeing task resulted in faction standing with Ladies of the Light got better and her saying "You have proven to be a great light in the darkness that the brownie queen brings upon us. Speak with Kaerra if you seek to aid us further."
Couldnt get any father as my faction must not be high enough to speak with Kaerra.
