This task was introduced in October 2007 and is available every year around Halloween.

It begins with Silas Lightweaver in Greater Faydark at location 490, 395 (southwest of the orc lift).

It has no time limit and is repeatable.

You say, 'Silas Lightweaver'

Silas Lightweaver smiles weakly and sighs, 'Hello _____, I'm sorry if you've come to see a light show... I am not quite ready yet, thanks to those winged [troublemakers].'

You say, 'Troublemakers?'

Silas Lightweaver snaps irritably, '"Yes, for whatever reason, hordes of pixies and faeries have decided to invade Greater Faydark. Those little pests are casting all sorts of gaudy spells, destroying the atmosphere I need. And, I'm so busy preparing for my performance, I simply do not have time to [catch] them all.'

You say. 'Catch them?'

Silas Lightweaver says 'If you are interested in [helping] me catch the fairies, I would greatly appreciate it... You could even take part in my light show!' (be sure to turn on spell particles)

You say, 'I am interested in helping'

Silas Lightweaver smiles broadly, 'Excellent! Here, take this bottle and catch as many of those faeries and pixies as you can find... Of course, I wouldn't want you to harm them, so please release them back into Lesser Faydark once you've filled the bottle.'

You have been assigned the task 'Troublemakers in Faydark'.

You receive "Faerie Catching Bottle".

Capture pixie and faerie troublemakers in Greater Faydark 0/10 (Greater Faydark)

The bottle must be used within melee range of the pixie or faerie targeted. Be sure to take off any damage shields and face away from them, otherwise riposte and/or your DS will kill them before the 10 second cast is finished. Unfortunately, the faeries and pixies do not have a specific spawn area. They're found commonly around a large radius near the orc camps south of Crushbone.

Release the troublemakers back into Lesser Faydark 0/1 (Lesser Faydark)

Right-click the bottle once inside Lesser Faydark. After doing so, return to Silas.

Return to Silas Lightweaver, and help perform a light show 0/1 (Greater Faydark)

You say, 'Hail, Silas Lightweaver'

Silas Lightweaver says 'You've done well _____, a decided calm has descended upon this shady grove once again... The perfect atmosphere for a display of lights and color. Here, take these fireworks and join in with the display; just give me a few moments, and I will begin.'

(Be sure to turn on spell particles.)

Reward:
10x "Firework: Nagafen Fire"

NOTE - Make sure you've typed, "/showspelleffects ON". Otherwise, the modifications you make to your Display Options won't take effect, and you will miss Silas' show!

Upon hailing Silas after releasing the troublemakers, he will wait about one minute before he starts his show.

Any Fairies you catch will count towards your total. Not just the troublemakers.

Actually, there is a difference. Regular Fairies give a faction hit when you kill them. The troublemakers don't.

Fairie trivia: Fairie troublemakers are immune to changes in run speed. Regular Fairies are not.

Steer clear of the regular Fairies. There are plenty of troublemakers out there.

Praise Tunare!

But you don't have to kill them, just bottle them.

Pull with snare, some other non-damaging spell, or stone throw, don't attack, just click the bottle and wait.

No faction hit.

Bah im tired of the quests with no long term rewards. Make it a no charges item like the old quests. Would that really be game breaking??

This quest may not yield uber loot, but it does afford you an excellent light show.

Crank up the Pink Floyd and enjoy! :)
