Note: This task does not actually begin with Aiden Silverwing. He merely directs you to the first hotzone, Castle Mistmoore, to begin recovering items for him.

Aiden Silverwing says 'My children set off to the ends of Norrath to investigate a rather unique [metal] I found some time ago. Now they're all dead, and it's my fault for trying to keep this such a [secret].' You say, 'Metal?' Aiden Silverwing says 'Yes, a most wonderous metal it is too. It seems it can absord magical energy, and take on a form of the properties of the energy, though I don't really understand how it all works yet.' You say, 'Secret?' Aiden Silverwing says 'I didn't want anyone else to know about it, so I had it made into a trinkets. Simple [objects] really so they would go unnoticed, and gave one to each of my family members.' You say, 'Objects?' Aiden Silverwing says 'I know they won't bring my family back, but these trinkets are really all I have left of them. If you could [return] them to me I would be grateful beyond words.' You say, 'I will return them to you' Aiden Silverwing says 'Veeshan be praised! I can't thank you enough _____. I would suggest you start in the Castle of Mayong Mistmoore. My son Sillien spent a great deal of time there!' Go to Castle Mistmoore and loot a Silverwing Loop. --You have looted a Silverwing Loop.-- You have been assigned the task 'Lost Heirlooms (Level 20)'. Speak to Aiden Silverwing about the earring you found. (0/1) - Plane of Knowledge Aiden Silverwing is located outside the Guild Lobby. If you do not yet have a Silverwing Lockbox in your inventory, you will receive it upon hailing him. You say, 'Hail, Aiden Silverwing' Aiden Silverwing says 'You've found Sillien's earring! Sillien sent word he'd lost the earring some time ago, but went off in search of a way to improve its metal anyway. The last message I got mentioned him trying to find my grandson Gallien in Permafrost, but then I never heard from either of them again. Perhaps you could go there and find out why Sillien seemed so intent to meeting Gallien.' Find a shard of power to infuse with Aiden's heirloom. (0/1) - Permafrost Loot a Glinting Shard from Permafrost. Put the earring and shard into the lockbox and combine them. The funny thing is, putting the shard in the shared bank so you can twink one of your alts with it will NOT update the task. The twink has to get it out of the bank, drop it on the ground, and then pick it back up off the ground for it to update the task. I can confirm that this works too -- I tried it.
