We were able to get this mission at Apprehensive faction. We were also 2 55s and 2 56s, so this mission can be attained at 55.
All mobs were dark blue.
The mission was in the instanced zone-in to the west of the actual Lavaspinner's lair.
Received the token and 15 ebon crystals.

It is a group mission (3-6 players) that begins with Talontar (click for map image) in the Dark Reign camp of the Lavastorm Mountains. Pre-requisites for requesting: - Minimum level 55 - Minimum "apprehensive" faction with Dark Reign Hail him to get a quest window pop-up. You have been assigned the task 'Grounding the Drakes'. The drakes are proven stubborn and have resisted all of our efforts to entice them to help our efforts. We need them put in their place. Slaughter a good number of them and collect their fangs as a reminder to those who you spare. Note: This group mission scales to your group's level. The highest is 68+, outlined here. Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair 0/1 (The Broodlands) This is marked on your compass (far southern instanced entrance). Loot 15 Drake Fang 0/15 (Lavaspinner's Lair) Very straightforward task: In the instanced zone, kill drakes until you've looted 15x "Drake Fang" (dropped 0-3 at a time). Mobs here tend to hit for a max ~900 and are mezzable and stunnable. The task completes upon looting the last item. The remaining drakes will surely have second thoughts about defying us in the future. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. Ignore my last. This is the fang mission. Really simple. Kill drakes and loot fangs. Some will have a stack of up to 8 on them although that rarely happens. You would normally have all fangs once you get past the big room with a fake floor. This could be done in less than one hour.

The eggs are targettable objects standing throughout the zone. One or two drakes will be guarding the egg. After killing the drake, target the egg then do /open to break the egg. Some eggs will contain mobs so it's good to kill the surrounding drakes. The final egg contains a named Drake that did not drop anything for me. The named Drake was the only mob that enraged. Plenty of healer mobs in this instance, enchanter mobs that tash but nothing difficult.
