Staffs are easy to find and get but one.
On Redfeather, right up there on the ramps in plain site (at the aviak huts up top), on Monkey rock, on the gorilla hill in the center of the ruins, on Suncrest right there in the high priest building and on Deadbone, right there on the beach.
The hard one is on Maidens grave.... as Sirens see invis. I would describe the locations as west of the center of the island, in the lower path, not on top of the hill.
On a side note, all "acquire" steps are open from the start. You can collect all the staffs and then deliver them all at once.
I did this quest recently and was surpised to find that if offers rewards for the Jonas Dagmire's Skeletal hand task series.
It appears three of Higglespouts quests (Howlan's Research #1: Tracking the Missing Notes, Howlan's Research #2: The Rest of the Diary and Chataya's Staff: The Shattered Pieces) offer options for three parts of Jonas' hand (Little Finger Metacarpal, Thumb Proximal Phalanx & Forefinger Proximal Phalanx).
I did the Jonas series long ago, so these are clearly alternative tasks... but, they still offer the parts!

Chataya's Staff: The Shattered Pieces

This task begins with Farwhendle Higglespout who is located at approximately -270, -120 in the Barren Coast. Upon completion of the previous task:
Farwhendle Higglespout says, 'With the return of these pages I can now draw up a map of where the [pieces of Chataya's staff] can be found.' You say, 'What pieces of Chataya's staff?' You have been assigned the task 'Chataya's Staff: The Shattered Pieces' Acquire the first staff from Redfeather Isle. The staff piece is on the platform walkway in the Aviak City at location -3600, +925. Invis and go up on walkway and loot the staff. Invis will not drop as you loot the staff and there are no see invis in the area. Take the first staff piece to Farwhendle. This step (and others like it) can be done at the end of the task for the update so you can continue to locate and loot the 4 remaining staff pieces. Acquire the second staff piece from Suncrest Isle. The staff piece is in front of the Sunstone High Priest at location +60, -3450. The High Priest sees invisibility, but if you are careful you can loot the staff piece just outside of his agro range. Take the second staff piece to Farwhendle. Acquire the third staff piece from Maiden's Grave. The staff piece is located in a clearing near the center of the island at location +2860, +4385. Take the third staff piece to Farwhendle. Acquire the fourth staff piece from Deadbone Reef. The staff piece is on the beach at location +2800, -3740. Take the fourth staff piece to Farwhendle. Acquire the fifth staff piece from Monkey Island. The staff piece is in the Gorilla area at location -3360, -3400. Take the fifth staff piece to Farwhendle. Now head back to the Barren Coast to turn in the staff pieces. Upon the turn in of the five staff pieces, you will get the task completion. Farwhendle Higglespout says, 'With the shattered pieces of the staff collected, I can now combine the staff pieces. This will allow you to see the [hidden cove] in Jardel's Hook, which is where Howlan indicated where the artifacts might be found. You will need the help of other adventurers to complete this task.' This leads into the first Jardel's Hook group mission, "Jardel's Hidden Cove". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
