After the takeover of the city of Firiona Vie by the forces of Lanys T`Vyl, Luminare Pasinia may be found outside the city on a hill at /loc -249, -2351, 342.

In 2016 on TLP (Ragefire with Kunark enabled) she is located at -3955.45, 2626.09, -77.97 (in the building with caster GMs and spell vendors).

You say, 'Hail, Luminare Pasinia'

Luminare Pasinia waves her hands as if to cast a spell. 'GREETINGS!! I am the Luminare of Firiona by decree of his royal highness, King Thex,I am here to research spells and artifacts. I have much to do. I welcome any enchanter who offers to [assist the great Luminare].'

You say, 'I will assist the great Luminare.'

Luminare Pasinia says 'And great I am, indeeed!! Alas, not great enough to be everywhere at once. I would gladly reward you if you would [collect components] for me.'

You say, 'I will collect components for you.'

Luminare Pasinia says 'Then go into the wilds beyond the outpost and upon your return, you shall give to me the powder of Nok, heart of ice. Ton warrior totem, and a sabertooth tiger mane. This shall earn you knowledge of an enchanter spell I recently scribed.'

1) Powder of Nok - Nok Shaman Powder (identifies as "Powder of Nok") comes from a "froglok nok shaman" in the north area of this zone. It looks like black pixie dust.

2) Heart of Ice - This is dropped by various icebone skeletons in the Lake of Ill Omen, the Swamp of No Hope, or Kurn's Tower.

3) Ton Warrior Totem - This is dropped by various frogloks found in the froglok city in the Swamp of No Hope, and identifies as "Key of Dai -I.". They spawn apparently in several places but aren't very common.

4) Sabertooth Mane - These drop off the sabertooth Tigers found in Lake of Ill Omen, the Overthere, and Trakanon's Teeth.

Bring these items back to Luminare:

Luminare Pasinia says 'Do you not remember that I asked for powder of Nok, a Ton warrior totem, a heart of ice and a sabertooth tiger mane? Incomplete deeds shall fetch no enchanter reward.'
Luminare Pasinia says 'Do you not remember that I asked for powder of Nok, a Ton warrior totem, a heart of ice and a sabertooth tiger mane? Incomplete deeds shall fetch no enchanter reward.'
Luminare Pasinia says 'Do you not remember that I asked for powder of Nok, a Ton warrior totem, a heart of ice and a sabertooth tiger mane? Incomplete deeds shall fetch no enchanter reward.'
Luminare Pasinia places the items into a sack and removes a scroll from her robe. This is yours. A spell I discovered and translated for one with less intelligence than the great Luminare of Firiona Vie. You may kiss my feet now.'
Your faction standing with Inhabitants of Firiona Vie got better.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors got better.
Your faction standing with Storm Guard got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got worse.
Your faction standing with Pirates Of Gunthak got worse.
You gain experience!!

You receive a scroll called Vision of Sebilite, which scribes as the spell "Illusion Iksar."

I did the quest in about 3 hours. Got each part on the first kill. I went to the brigand camp, cleared it, and then instead of sitting there, I decided to stroll down by the water, and there one was, I am level 34, had a 44 necro with me, so we made short work of it. The Icebone was simple, as was the Tiger Mane. The only problem was the leeches running around where we found the Shaman. Had a couple attack us while we were medding to take the shaman, and then all of a sudden one walked by, so we killed it and it dropped. My opinion is that this is a fairly easy quest, in a few very dangerous zones, had to run leeches to the Drixies a couple times, not sure if they got the leech or I just lost it. But I think I will wait till my 40's to try it again, even with a companion, it was too close with the shaman. Good luck to all that try it.

I just spent 2 hours to get all the quest items, i don't think that is rare like other people said. Might be i am lucky. But i suggests that you must be lvl 38 or above in order to do this quest alone. Because froglok nok shamans is not easy to kill. I am lvl 37 after i killed it i have 3 bubs hp left. But there are easy to get 3-4 froglok on you and they are cons blue to you. So if u do this quest without help. You better beware!!!!

Bah. I been doing it since level 25 and am now level 31 and have done it 30 times or more.( I sell spel lfor 500pp-800pp) Best place to get NOK's is by the Lizard head that leads to the zone to swamp zone. Just stay close there at head and look around and Nok's will spawn or walk by here. Drag them down and kill them, keep them stunned and feared. Make sure ya drag him far enough down past head so when he is feared he wont run back to where all the nasties are.

Be careful if you evil race as Scout Treehill roams here so illusion a non-evil race.
totem pieces
# Sep 07 2000 at 1:31 PM Rating: Default
Disclaimer: this is, as far as i know, a rumor.

I've heard that you can also get the Ton Warrior Totem by combining the three pieces of the totem with some mendglow clay (foragable in the burning woods) in a potters wheel, without water. some skill in pottery would be required i imagine.
RE: totem pieces
# Sep 27 2000 at 11:07 AM Rating: Default
It's definitely without water. Although all totem pieces are marked LORE, there are actually 3 different types, as you'll see if you identify them. Anyway, I got all 3, got hold of some mendglow clay, worked my pottery up to 126 (easy) and combined them on a wheel. Unfortunately, I reasoned that all pottery recipes require water, so I threw a water bottle in as well. Result: no combine. I went back to the swamp to get more pieces, but managed to pick up a complete totem there.
Totem from FV

I was returning from the Dreadlands via the FV tunnel and bumped into a Froglock Ton Warrior, who was green to me at 51.... thinking this was an unusual spawn I killed it and it dropped the Totem...

So it can also spawn in FV, although I guess I was lucky that it hadn't been killed by Guards and all the other NPC type guards roaming near the waterfall...

Wierd, same thing happened to me, I was 42, it was green, killed it and I got the totem, the rest of the quest was easy, guess Im just lucky =)

This spell DOES NOT grant hp regen period.
Been testing it, only good for the looks and faction. If you want regen go with troll.

(was it ever supposed to give hp regen?)I think it should, wonder if this illusion is bugged...

I would think it should give the swiming ability boost or similar. Troll gives regen, Dark elf has ultravision, etc. Theme would follow for swimming and it isn't an overlap.
RE: IMPORTANT
# Oct 16 2000 at 12:06 AM Rating: Default
Would Iksar Illusion not give you Infravision?
RE: IMPORTANT
# Oct 24 2000 at 10:41 PM Rating: Default
That does not make sense. Swimming is based on your skill level in that particular area. The other abilities granted are not based on skill, but rather an attribute or a spell. So it can't grant increase swimming skill.
Well...
# Nov 04 2000 at 3:58 PM Rating: Default
It might grant underwater breathing. Not sure on that one as I still have to get my Totem, but you never know...

Unless you already have gone swimming with the illusion that is.

Look at it this way--Iksars are at war with EVERY other race, so gaining faction is a BIG deal!! As for regen, I think it sucks that they can't...swimming, bah! I swim better than a lot of iksars already! At any rate, an illusion can't grant abilities like that. Still, this spell is worth it to get into Cabilis unscathed. (Be careful tho, my Iksar shaman has seen several imposter iksars end up as corpses cuz their spells failed at the worst times...). And so there's no questions later, my main is a High Elf Enchanter (so don't analyze that my Iksar swims better than most Iksar, I'm referring to the HiE.)
Vision of Sebilis
# Aug 24 2000 at 9:33 PM Rating: Good
I completed this quest recently, I am a 47 Druid, and I recieved the spell Vision of Sebillis, not the spell Illusion: Iksar. This is both good and bad I think, since I need Illusion: Iksar, but no one has heard of the spell I receivd - is it rare? New? What's the deal? Did Verant just change the quest?

It is ID'd as Lore Item Illusion of Iksar and the name of the scroll is Vision of Sebilite... not sebilis.

Well I have to say this is a group quest. I tried this quest solo at 45 as an enchanter. Got spanked the first time by random greens in FV. Once I got to 49 it was easier. But good lord this is 20th level spell, with nothing but a cool look.
RE: Level
# Aug 31 2000 at 2:26 PM Rating: Default
If you got spanked at 45 than your not a smart(good) player...did this quest at 27 no problem , not one death.

The shaman you are seeking for the powder is right next to swamp zone, closer to LoI zone...he spawns near the small valley

So... facing the zone to swamp, the clearing is to your right, I killed them alot there...they are all over.

Ditto what?

I did the quest at 25, the froggies to kill were yellow to me, the shamans sometimes red..
at 25 it is very hard you have to find a yellow nok shaman, hope it walks away from the others (I don't know if they assist but I sure as hell wasn't going to die testing it), meanwhile avoid all the other red aggro mobs around.. very hard, and don't **** those drachnids off I had one chase me for 20 mins, even after i had used mem blur and gated back to the city.. probably gating doesnt remove hate when you are in same area, becaues you don't actually zone or get a Loading, Please Wait...
just finished it. This is a nasty quest.
# Aug 17 2000 at 7:36 AM Rating: Good
This quest is one of the suckier ones. I got the powder, mane and heart of ice in about 3 hours. There is no way a level 20 could do this quest. The correct level range should be a minimum of 30. The Nok shaman will be VERY dangerous blue to you at that level. Try to find someone else to kill it for you as it is a caster and can root, dot and hits like a warrior. You should be able to kill the Ton Warrior at level 30 solo, as long as you are smart.

That Totem is a pain in the butt. I cleared the brigand camp and killed everything around it. I don't think that mattered though... two Ton Warriors spawned and walked right through the camp. I killed them. No totem. For the next several hours I kept everything within sight dead. But I don't think that really mattered. Because again two Ton warriors spawned and walked through the camp. I killed them as well. No totem. The next time I just sat there and only cleared the Brigand camp so I could sit near the fire. Several hours later (more than 5), two Ton warriors came walking through the camp. First one had pieces, second one had the Totem(looks like an orange monkey sitting on his ****** So it seems to me that these are just rare spawns without placeholders (kinda like how the wandering icebones in everfrost cave only spawn every 6 hours). My advice would be to go to that bandit camp and just wait. No need to waste time killing stuff. I bet they spawn on a regular interval there, someone just needs to time it exactly. That should save everyone loads of trouble. And yes, I would easily pay 2k or 3k for that scroll. It's a waste of my time to work on this quest for 15 hours. I consider myself lucky, getting it on the 6th one. And yes, I had someone tracking for me the whole time.
A side note
# Aug 11 2000 at 2:39 PM Rating: Decent
The Ton warriors commonly drop "A piece of totem" which is lore and NoDrop. Oddly, I found I had two of them in inventory after completing the quest.

They Identified as "Top part of Dai Key" and "Middle Part of Dai Key". I assume there is a bottom part as well.

Anyone got any idea what the heck a "Dai Key" is for?

I got this spell finally. You're all going to hate me for this, but I didn't kill anything to get the items. Looted them all off of dead things. But in any case, the faction hits for doing the quest are:

FirionaVie (better)
EmeraldWarriors (better)
StormGuard (better)
LegionOfCabilis (worse)
PiratesOfGunthak (worse)
RE: Faction

Hope its not a big hit, but it sucks that you get lowered faction with the Cabalis guards for doing this.. oh well, i'll go kill some sarnaks I guess
No Regen
# Aug 08 2000 at 4:46 PM Rating: Decent
Contrary for a previous post: There is no Regen on this Illusion. Ive checked it a number of times. Result is Illusion Troll has Regen, Illusion: Iksar doesn't.
3rd time is no fun
# Aug 08 2000 at 12:30 AM Rating: Decent
I've done the quest 2x and i only need the totem for 3rd spell. The only annoying thing is the frequency of ton pieces instead of totems. Ive killed 11 warriors and gotten 2 totems so far. I dont camp BTW. I'm a druid ( from Lev 27 to 30 ive done this ) I zone in from FV north of lake zone, sweep across the south wall of the zone along the water, check the undead ruins, and either kill a ton or gate back to what i was doing
Mane or Tiger Mane
# Aug 07 2000 at 2:22 PM Rating: Good
I managed to complete this quest in an afternoon. The bit that I wasted time on was looking for a Sabretooth Mane when I kept getting a Sabretooth Tiger Mane. In the end I guessed it was the same thing, which it is. I was also lucky enough to get all the other items on the first drop. I even found a ton warrior by the bandit camp in about 30 mins after letting my pet massacre a few bugs, plants and skellies.

Well after dieing 3 times and losing 29 and clarity twice i desided that this quest isn't worth it. I'm a 29 enchanter and i had a level 39 paladin helping and we had too much trouble. THAT TOTEM IS IMPOSSIBLE. In the 6 hours we camped the Froglok city in The Swamp of No Hope we saw 1 ton warrior and he had a broken totem. And I thought that the shaman powder was hard to get. :P Good luck.

If you got the totem in 30 mins, or fairly quick , your lucky. We were doing tracking sweeps( folling a parallel /loc) through have the damn zone . Good luck!

BTW I saw someone in FV buy illusion iksar for 850pp.

I would like to clarify some people about this quest, I have read many posts from here, everlore, and friends. I did this quest myself. And if you listem to me your going to have it alot easier.
1. Get someone that can track, these guys are fairly rare, get a ranger or druid.
2. They dont always spawn in one place...nope they spawn all over that part of the zone(2200,0)(again us tracking).
3. Kill all the Frogs you see! have you ever seem this zone unbalanced? no, the frogs around here seem to be static PH's kill them all.
4. Do the iksars in the camp have anything to do with this? I highly doubt it, since we stoped killing them and still got a TON warrior.
5.TON warrior is lvl 25ish, hits pretty hard.
6.Get your popcorn rollin', cause your going to be here for a while :-p
I camped here for aprox. 13-15 RL hours.
My 2cp Good luck!!

1k for the totem? ROFLMAO! It's not worth /half/ that.

You said you had a ranger with you. Instead of sitting on your **** waiting for them to spawn, track them down! We did in my group, and found plenty of ton warriors running around. We got the totem in less than 30 minutes.

Jeeze, some people...

Go to the island that Ashorty speaks of and kill everything you see, the tons should pop about 1 every 4 mins if you keep that up

Froglok Ton Warrior
# Jul 28 2000 at 3:18 PM Rating: Decent
Okay, I'm about to really rate this quest as something that should not be heard by little children!!!!! I am so darn fed up with this whole thing. I have time the spawn of Ton Warriors, at the camp spot just north of 2500, 0 both pos. They spawn at 7am. I have timed that. I have been on for hours, and for 5 days straight. I have killed about 10 ton warriors, and i'm at the point where the only loot is the piece!!! AH!!! I have everything but this totem. I have a ranger w/me most of the time, but I have been here for so long, they just pop at my camp spot. Yesterday I got really lucky, and two spawned, killed both of them, and nothing. This quest is a big, big waist of time if they will not make this a little more frequent spawn. If I do decied to do this again and sell it, This will not go for less than 1k I will not waist my time on this quest again, unless I happen to loot this first. Oh yea yesterday while running back to FV, I found a dead Nok Shaman, and on it was the powder for this quest, but I already have it.
Getting around no drop
# Jul 25 2000 at 3:30 PM Rating: Decent
Best way to get No Drop items to another character is to camp them near the expected drop spot first. Then, when you've got a corpse with the item on it, camp your killer character, come back on with the one who's to receive it, and have them loot the body. To insure someone unauthorized doesn't loot it first, you can drag the corpse to a more secluded spot before camping, if necessary.

Hope that helps - I do it all the time with my monk so he doesn't have to keep running back to the nearest bank to lighten his load.
