This task follows "Long Abandoned" and begins with Researcher Higgins, who is located in Barren Coast at +230, -90, sitting inside a wagon.
Upon completion of the previous task: Researcher Higgins looks a bit surprised by your speedy return, though he gathers his composure quickly and inquires as to your discoveries in Monkey Rock, excitedly grabbing the artifacts from your hands almost as soon as you pull them from your packs. After seeing the artifacts, he explains the horrifying discoveries he made with the remains and asks you to [investigate] Monkey Rock once more, to collect some blood from each of the diseased animals. You say, 'We will investigate' You have been assigned the task 'A Volatile Disease'. The Adventurer's Journal's are found on un-targetable "an adventure's remains" scattered about the island. There could be one or several, but each group gives one update. All you need to do is get close. They were at: (-4106, -4168, 400) - Jaguar Area. (-4098, -3348, 327) - Middle of Island where the Gorillas roam. (-3848, -2550, 378) - Gazebo in the Snakes Area. (-3349, -3398, 403) - North ruins. (-3918, -3775, 307) - On the shore near the raft between Raptors and Jaguars. (-4752, -3795, 306) - SE part of island, Undead side. (-4751, -3322, 540) - Inside the Tower of Undead in the center near the broken device. (-4075, -2662, 309) - On the South beach on the Snake side. Just thought I would let everyone know, if you get into a situation where you think there is no way you can get the blood updates because of too few mobs, don't fear. I was worrying about mine so I was watching my quest page when a gorilla died to see if I got an update, and surprisingly, I got TWO blood updates with the one kill. Now I'm a necro kiting these things (on this toon) and there were no other mobs being killed at the time, so it 100% definatly was 2 updates for one kill.

I had a necro along on this mission who used wake the dead. She had 3 Jaguar pets up while we killed last 2 Jaguars and received no update. I tried zoning in and out and such but no luck, we failed mission. Lets be careful out there 8)
I have killed nearly every ape on the island and no vials of infected gorilla blood have dropped. Wonder what is going on.
