    		 This group mission is the second in a series of five. It begins with Researcher Higgins (click for map image), a gnome found in Barren Coast at /location 230, -90 (sitting inside a wagon). He will not talk to you at dubious faction. He will give the task at indifferent+.

    Pre-requisites for Requesting:
    - Completion of "The Wild Island"

    At the end of the previous task, you saw:

    Researcher Higgins accepts the remains from you and places them in the cart, stating that he will need some more time to study them, but in the meantime, he needs you to [investigate] a few other things on the island.

    You say, 'Let's investigate'

    You have been assigned the task 'Long Abandoned'.

    Researcher Higgins is intrigued by the presence of Combine writings on the island. While he examines the creature remains you have brought him, he bids you to return to Monkey Rock and explore the Combine ruins.


    Purchase tickets to Monkey Rock and catch the boat 0/1 (Barren Coast)

    Dockmaster Weatherby says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.'

    Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Monkey Rock" from any of the Dockmasters along the coastline and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island. (Next to you is a rowboat that serves as your zone-out.)

    Explore the ruined temple 0/1 (Monkey Rock)

    All of the "Locate..." steps are updated through random kills (no looting required) in their corresponding "Explore..." locations.

    The "ruined twin towers" are located on the east side of the island (inhabited by jaguars).

    The "ruined temple" is located on the north side of the island (inhabited by gorillas).

    The "ruined gazebo" is located on the west side of the island (inhabited by pythons).

    The "ruined observatory" is located on the southern end of the island (the large circular tower inhabited by undead).


    Report back to Researcher Higgins 0/1 (Barren Coast)

    Near the zone-in area is a rowboat that you can click to port you back to the Buried Sea:

    You get into the longboat and row out. You are quickly picked up by one of the many merchant ships sailing the waters of the Buried Sea and delivered safely to the dock on Jardel's Hook...

    Head back to Researcher Higgins in Barren Coast, and hail him:

    Researcher Higgins looks a bit surprised by your speedy return, though he gathers his composure quickly and inquires as to your discoveries in Monkey Rock, excitedly grabbing the artifacts from your hands almost as soon as you pull them from your packs. After seeing the artifacts, he explains the horrifying discoveries he made with the remains and asks you to [investigate] Monkey Rock once more, to collect some blood from each of the diseased animals.

    so its semi mentioned in a responce but it should be noted that if you dont clear the apps in the middle of the island and try to fight anything in the observitory using pets/mers the pathing will agro all the apps onto you at once
