Raid Expedition: Frostcrypt #2

This is the raid expedition involving the second instanced Frostcrypt zone.
In order to request and/or participate in this task, you must have participated in a successful Frostcrypt Raid Instance #1 run (up to and including the Hearol/Grenwald event). This expedition is given by Commander Haesgrin in Valdeholm and is entered via the Rallos Zek altar near the zone-in in Frostcrypt. You say, 'Hail, Commander Haesgrin' Commander Haesgrin says 'Ah _____! I wanted to thank you for your work against Hearol and Grenwald. There has been a substantial drop in the Shade attacks since you defeated them. If you're looking for some [jobs] to do we always have no shortage of them. Although, perhaps you would be more [interested] in finishing what you started with those two.' You say, 'Of course we are interested' Commander Haesgrin says 'With the defeat of Grenwald we have become aware of one of the Shades' few critical mistakes. When they were first raising the dead in the crypt, the Shades ventured into the royal crypts and attempted to raise the corpses found there. We can only assume the spirits of our former rulers proved too powerful for even the Shades. They were unable to control the zombies and were forced to seal the royal crypts off lest the zombies emerge and destroy them. However, in doing so they denied themselves an important [resource].' You say, 'What resource?' Commander Haesgrin says 'Buried with the royal families were many magical artifacts. It is a common belief amongst the Wraithguard that one of these artifacts could prove to be the weapon needed to destroy the Shade King. We are left with a problem of our own though. The royal zombies are not likely to give over any of the artifacts willingly. That the Shades chose not to fight them should tell you something about the power of these zombies. We also would never willingly choose to raise a blade against the royal family, even if they have become undead. Should you choose to confront them and search the crypts for an artifact of aid, you will need to know something more of the [burial practices] for our royal families.' You say, 'Burial practices?' Commander Haesgrin says 'Each royal family has their own section in the crypt. When the bloodline of a family is ended their section is sealed for all time. The only way to open them again would be to obtain the key from the bloodline who followed that family in ruling our city. Should you survive the guardians of the royal crypts you will need to work your way through each family's crypt in turn. We can only hope you will find something of use in one of the crypts. If you wish to [continue] I will instruct Sergeant Thavin to unlock the passage to the royal crypts for you.' You say, 'We wish to continue' Commander Haesgrin says 'Very well. You will find the passage to the royal crypts underneath the alter to Rallos Zek in the entry way of the crypt. Speak with Sergeant Thavin when you are ready. Tell him I sent you and he will open the way for you. May your swords be swift and your courage true.' Wraithguard Sergeant Thavin will teleport you into the expedition. He may be found at the zone-in to the non-instanced Frostcrypt zone in Valdeholm, at -2530, +660, -490. Events within this expedition: The Sleepless Guard (aug event; involves Overseer of the Cryptguard) Wulfnor the Gladiator Fridleif, Master Warcraft Harfange the Black Beltron the Shade King Each event has a lockout timer of 4.5 days. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

To be able to request Frostcrypt #2 raid, you need to have completed Frostcrypt #1. But if you can pick up a Mark of Frostcrypt from any of the events in Frostcrypt #2 raid, it counts as a substitute for the FrostCrypt #1 completion flag and should allow you to request FrostCrypt #2 raid as well.
