    This group mission is the fifth in a series of five. It begins with Macon Teach (click for map image), who is located at about 200, 3085 on the northeastern coast of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.

    Pre-requisites for requesting:
    - Completion of "Buried Treasure"
    - Completion of "Running Rum"
    - Completion of "Reduce His Numbers"
    - Completion of "A Spy Among Them"

    Upon completion of the previous task, you saw:

    Speaking with the spy has resulted in some valuable information. Macon Teach would like you to take the information and [search] for Sharpeye and eliminate him.

    You say, 'We will search for Sharpeye'

    Macon Teach says 'Ha! Right on the money! I had ye figured fer a greedy dog. Take the ship to the island and see what ye can find.'

    You have been assigned the task 'Sharpeye's Folly: Sharpeye's Demise'.

    Macon Teach has pinpointed a time when Sharpeye will be in residence. Go to the Blacksail Palisade and kill him!



    Purchase tickets to Blacksail Folly and catch the boat 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Blacksail Folly" from Dockmaster Angus at the dock (on the dock a little ways south) and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island. (Next to you is a rowboat that serves as your zone-out.)

    Dockmaster Angus says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.'

    You have entered Blacksail Folly.



    Loot the Palisade Key 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    You have to loot another key to update this step (same two guards outside the front gate).

    Loot the Inner Palisade Key 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    You have to an "Inner Palisade Key" to update. This is known to be dropped by Blind Macon Slasher, Wade the Staggering Drunk, Edmund the Malformed, Fruitless Finn Straw, and Lazy Eye Sully, so seek out these pirates.



    Kill Sharpeye 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    Sharpeye is in the inner palisade, in the central hut at the back. He hits for a max ~2,400; has ~110,000 hitpoints; and is immune to stun and mez. (Against an Anguish+ geared tank, he's been parsed at 400 DPS with a max hit of 1,731.)

    Sharpeye says 'Ye shall not have me booty. Jardel will not have his way!'

    Sharpeye has been slain by _____!
    Sharpeye's corpse cackles one last time as he falls.

    Your faction standing with Sharpeye's Reef Runners has been adjusted by -10.
    Your faction standing with Blacksail Pirates has been adjusted by 10.

    Burning Sharpeye rises and attacks.

    "Burning Sharpeye" spawns in place of Sharpeye's corpse.

    Kill Burning Sharpeye 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    It hits for a max ~2,550; is mezzable and stunnable; may be immune to fire-based damage, but is susceptible to poison and curse-based damage; and has ~130,000 hitpoints (against an Anguish+ geared tank, he's been parsed at 300 DPS with a max hit of 1,843).

    Burning Sharpeye has been slain by _____!
    Burning Sharpeye's corpse clatters into an unruly pile of bones.



    Return to the canoe 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    Near the zone-in point is a rowboat. You don't have to use it; just have to walk near it.

    Report your success to Macon 0/1 (The Buried Sea)

    Macon Teach is happy with the removal of Sharpeye from his stronghold.


    Rewards:

    - Faction with Blacksail Smugglers

    This finishes the Blacksail Folly task arc. You can request any of them again at any time by saying "search" to Macon Teach.

    Very straightforward. I think this was the fastest to do in the series.

    Burning sharpeye is undead and resistant to some spells. My necro poison and curse spells worked fine.

    edit:
    you don't have to kill any extra mobs to get him to spawn.
    1. Kill one of the 2 names right outside the 1st gate, collect a key.
    2. Kill inside till you get the second key. The guy in the 1st hut to the left always works for me
    3. some see invis at the inside or 2nd gate. Kill them then go the back hut.
    4 Kill the outside mob.
    5. Kill Sharpeye. A pet pull works nice, /pet attack sharp ; then /pet back
    6. Kill Burning sharpeye.

    Mobs will run at low health

    With Blacksail Smugglers faction, you gain doubloons too at the end of this mission.

    Straight forward and step by step.

    Buy a ticket to Blacksail and hop on a boat to zone in.

    Kill pirates outside the fort until you get a Palisade key (pretty common), to open the fort door.

    Then kill inside the fort until you get an Inner Palisade key (not as common, but not rare) so you can open the inner fort doors.

    Then kill Sharpeye (in the back hut). Once he is dead, an undead Burning Sharpeye appears (right there), that you also need to kill.

    Then zone out (canoe where you zoned in) and go back to Teach to finish up.
