This solo task becomes available by completing 'Order Squared'.

Upon completion of the previous task:

Noble Sivrn says 'It is most impressive that you've managed to solve the puzzle of order, have you attempted the [alignment] puzzles?'

You say, 'Alignment puzzles?'

Noble Sivrn says 'There are several puzzles of alignment that might prove to be a challenge for you, if you would care to make an [attempt].'

You say, 'I will make an attempt!'

You have been assigned the task 'Realign the Lines'.

Noble Sivrn says 'Best of luck, I wish you continued success.'

You say, 'Hail, Mahatototarit'

Mahatototarit says 'I enjoy puzzles of all types, and often at the same time... Perhaps I could interest you in a game of [alignment] or [order]?'

You say, 'Alignment'

Mahatototarit says 'Bring me a Token of Alignment, and you may attempt to realign my Eastern game board.'

The tokens drop in the pyramids from random Efreeti mobs. They are marked as QUEST ITEM and are tradable.

Turn in your Token of Alignment.

Mahatototarit says 'You must realign the current column to the CENTER, let me know if you would rather play [align three], [align four], or [align five]... Or perhaps, something more [challenging]. Return to me when you are [finished] aligning the board.'

Look at your task and request the appropriate one:

Speak with Mahatototarit about puzzles
Solve the game of align three
Solve the game of align four
Solve the game of align five
Report your success to Noble Sivrn

You say, 'Align three'

The board then moves the NPCs that are not needed. Solve the puzzle and tell Mahatototarit that you are 'finished'.

Mahatototarit says 'Well done, you have correctly solved the puzzle.'

If you fail he will tell you that you did not complete it in the minimum amount of moves so, plan carefully!

Mahatototarit says 'A noble attempt, unfortunately you did not solve the puzzle in the minimum number of moves.'

Rinse, repeat, until you have done all the stages: Align 4 and 5.
He will place the game pieces in for the required task stage you requested.
Then the task asks you to hail Noble Sivrn.

You say, 'Hail, Noble Sivrn'

Noble Sivrn shakes his head in admiration, 'I would have never imagined that you could solve the alignment puzzles so quickly... Perhaps you could even solve the more [challenging] alignment puzzles.

You gain experience!!

(Over 100% AA in 75 with full experience towards AA)

This leads into the next task in the series, Broken Lines.

Helpful to understand the goal and rules of the game

So, it took me a few attempts to even understand what the object was and what the rules are. Stand to the south of the game board. You will have to "re-stack" the pieces in the same order (largest closest to you and smallest furthest away) into the new column that Mahatototarit identifies when you start the puzzle. The columns are West | Center | East. You give commands for movement by saying West Center or East. The RULE is you cannot have your pieces run over one another and you cannot stack larger pieces on a column that already has a piece smaller than it. So, you have to systematically move the pieces in order to solve. Step by step moves from others with knowledge of the rules and objective.
Can't make any sense of the 'help'
# Jul 24 2018 at 3:53 PM Rating: Decent
I don't know how any of you make sense of any of what is said. These directions, to me, are horrible. Compare these to the directions in the previous quest and its basically a foreign language.

EDIT: NM was able to finally figure it out.

1. The best standing position is at South of the board (facing North)
2. Formula posted by Wildracer at Apr 04 2007 works perfectly. (including [align shifted] for next quest [Broken Lines])

does anyone have a solution that makes sense. there are four directions to a compass. based on that and your orirentation to the game board will change the solution depending on the direction you are looking.

Taking the time to make the hot-keys will save u a lot of aggravation!

Make a 5 hot keys, 0ne to target each mob (/tar Tin, /tar Sim,/tar Med, /tar Lat, /tar Gig) and label each as such.
Then make your 3 hot-keys for /say east, /say west, and /say center. The beauty of it is once u label those hot-keys appropriately (according to the puzzle columns you are assigned), U can go down the instruction list and click the buttons in order..
Sim - Free - Med - Target - Sim - Target - Lat - Free- etc etc... No need to wait for the mobs to shuffle about either, they will get there as long as u click the buttons in order

Saved me having to camp extra tokens after I screwed it up whilst trying to manually target and type

TASK #4 -- REALIGN THE LINES

1) JEWEL OF ATIIKI: Head back to Noble Sivrn, if you aren't all ready there.

Hail him and follow along, or just try saying, "Attempt" to get the task called, "Realign the Lines."

This entire task takes place in this zone.

.

2) You now need to acquire at least four (4) Token of Alignment (Magic, Weight 0.1)... three (3) for this task and one (1) for the next task (Task #5).

This is a random drop in the zone (mostly inside the Pyramids).

They are tradable and you do not have to loot it. You just need it for a hand in.

However... if you mess up step three (below), you will need more of them, to restart the Steps you mess up on (you do not have to start the task again).

.

3) Head back to Mahatototarit.

Hail and follow along or just try saying "Alignment."

Mahatototarit will ask for a Token of Alignment. Hand it over, then say, "Align Three."

.

4) Just to the east, is another area of "rock squares" in a grid pattern of three rows.

Mahatototarit should have just told you how to realign the Level 75 Efreeti NPC's on the "game board."

These NPC's run up on the board after you say "Align Three."

In this case, you should see Gigias, Lathik and Medious.

A few notes:

· To make them move, you simply tell them, EAST, WEST or CENTER.

· If their way is not blocked, they will take a round about path in the direction you asked them to move.

· You have to get them realigned in a certain number of moves, or fail.

· I am impressed anyone figured this out, but there is a trick… so pay attention.

· The directions I am about to give you are not specifically based on East, West and Center.

· They are based on where the NPC's are and where you need them to go.

· So... where the NPC's are is the START Row.

· Where the NPC's need to move to is the TARGET Row.

· The other row is the FREE Row.

· Looking at the game board, you now need to associate each of those rows with a direction.

· So, if they are in the most western row to start, the Start Row is WEST and so forth.

· Thus, if Gigias needs to move to the Start Row (S), you tell him "West" in /say.

· You can speak to them from a good distance.

Now, the following directions will get this done for you, no matter where they start or where you need to move them.

· Medious to Target Row

· Lathik to Free Row

· Medious to Free Row

· Gigias to Target Row

· Medious to Start Row

· Lathik to Target Row

· Medious to Target Row (this should do it)

.

5) Head back over to Mahatototarit.

Say, "finished" to complete this step.

.

6) Now say "Alignment" to Mahatototarit, then give Mahatototarit another Token of Alignment and then say, "Align Four."

.

7) Back to the game board.

Same rules as before, except an NPC named Simulat has joined the party.

The winning moves this time are:

* Simulat to Free Row
* Medious to Target Row
* Simulat to Target Row
* Lathik to Free Row
* Simulat to Start Row
* Medious to Free Row
* Simulat to Free Row
* Gigias to Target Row
* Simulat to Target Row
* Medious to Start Row
* Simulat to Start Row
* Lathik to Target Row
* Simulat to Free Row
* Medious to Target Row
* Simulat to Target Row (this should do it)

.

8) Head back over to Mahatototarit.

Say, "finished" to complete this step.

.

9) Now say "Alignment" to Mahatototarit, then give Mahatototarit another Token of Alignment and then say, "Align Five."

.

10) Back to the game board.

Same rules as before, except an NPC named Tiniz has joined the party.

The winning moves this time are:

* Tiniz to Target Row
* Simulat to Free Row
* Tiniz to Free Row
* Medious to Target Row
* Tiniz to Start Row
* Simulat to Target Row
* Tiniz to Target Row
* Lathik to Free Row
* Tiniz to Free Row
* Simulat to Start Row
* Tiniz to Start Row
* Medious to Free Row
* Tiniz to Target Row
* Simulat to Free Row
* Tiniz to Free Row
* Gigias to Target Row
* Tiniz to Start Row
* Simulat to Target Row
* Tiniz to Target Row
* Medious to Start Row
* Tiniz to Free Row
* Simulat to Start Row
* Tiniz to Start Row
* Lathik to Target Row
* Tiniz to Target Row
* Simulat to Free Row
* Tiniz to Free Row
* Medious to Target Row
* Tiniz to Start Row
* Simulat to Target Row
* Tiniz to Target Row (this should do it)

.

11) Head back over to Mahatototarit.

Say, "finished" to complete this step.

.

12) Head back to Sivrn.

Hail him to complete the task and get about 1 AA in XP!

With the new modifications to AA experience, these quests are GREAT! I have now done these on multiple toons (5 or 6) and each one of the quests leading up to the efreeti mask quest result in over 300% AA experience per quest. The most AA any of those toons had going into the quests was 305, so if you have like 1k AA you probably will get less now that AA curve is set to lessen when you have more AA.

Just did this - some notes.

Follow Wildracer post to the letter (no pun intended).

To make it easier create three hot buttons :

Useless / Aligned / Starting

If your Column started on CENTER and you have to move it WEST your buttons would be :

Useless : /say EAST
Aligned : /say WEST
Starting : /say CENTER

Changed that around as needed.

You do need a token of Alignment to play the challenge : Align Shifted.

I have been messing with this and getting annoyed. I have done the align three in 10 moves and put them in order in the West like she said. I keep getting the message A noble attempt but not in the minimum nuber of moves. Looking at the previous posts Align 3: 7 moves (I am assuming this is the minimum). Any help and I would be grateful.

A=Align row, U=Useless row, S=Starting row
there are 3 rows no matter where you start and where you must align to.
Starting row(where npcs are at in the begining), the Align row(where you must move the npcs to) and the Useless row.
example: if you start in the center and must move to west side, then Center=S, West=A and East=U
change as it suits your situation.

Here is a solution for Align Five. It is based on the line starting on the west side, and being alined to EAST.

Keep in mind you can change the solution to suit your needs by, for example, changing all the "E" to "C" and all the "C" to "E" if your destination CENTER instead, ETC. You (hopefully) get the idea...

T=Tiny, S=Small, M=Middle, L=Large, G=Giantic. E=East, C=Center, W=West

It cost me 2 token to make sure and i got the same result both times, so i know i followed it. It leave the G dude by himself.

Also, you can see from my solutions that the "G dude" is moved only once, and that the puzzle ends with S & T being moved to that same location where the G-Dude was moved to so its impossible for it to leave the "G dude by himself"

Depending on which side they start on, for the align 3 its:
S=small. M=middle. L=large. C=center. E=east. W=west

West side start: S-C, M-E, S-E, L-C, S-W, M-C, S-C.
East side start: S-C, M-W, S-W, L-C, S-E, M-C, S-C.

Careful tho: this only applies if Mahatototarit says 'You must realign the current column to the CENTER...' - he does sometimes ask you to realign to the EAST or WEST.
Align three
# Sep 26 2018 at 2:05 AM Rating: Decent
What Daebil said. It is kind of sad that I have to look through all the comments on here to find this one at the bottom.

In the quest write up at the top anyone reading it will see' Mahatototarit says 'You must realign the current column to the CENTER, let me know if you would rather play [align three], [align four], or [align five]... Or perhaps, something more [challenging]. Return to me when you are [finished]'
aligning the board.'

You may not get them on the Center as your starting row it could be East or West.

For the person handing in the token they will see Mahatotoarit specifically say if they are to align them on East, West or Center. The row they start on is the Starting row. Now hold on to your hats folks because this means the remaining row is the free or swap row. They can't block each others way as you move them to the target row but you can move them back to the starting row. As someone mentioned it is the Tower of Hanoi puzzle. Similar to the toy of a child with 3 rods sticking up and plastic rings to move back and forth.

And just to make it a bit easier here is a link to another page about it http://www.bonzz.com/efreeti.htm

For my positioning I just did an about face from Mahatotoarit and faced East.

If what I have posted makes it clearer then by all means move it to the top. I won't hold my breath though. There should be a vote based system that moves the best answer to where it needs to be.
