This solo task begins with Darius Blythe, who is located at about 390, 3240 on Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.

    You say, 'Hail, Darius Blythe'

Darius Blythe says 'Aye, that's me. I'm Darius. They call me the Entrepreneur, or at least they try to. Most of the bastards around here can't even say Darius properly, much less Entrepreneur. But then, that's why I'm the Entrepreneur and they are just sailors. So, what can I do for you? You're brave enough to land here, so I'm willing to deal with you. Perhaps you're wondering what all of us pirates are doing out here, [dealing with] all of you? Or perhaps you're just looking for some goods that you might not be able to find elsewhere? Or are you one of those adventurers that always seem to need work? If so, I have some [jobs] you can do.'

    You say, 'Dealing with me?'

Darius Blythe says 'Ah, well, this was my idea, really. We knew that once you landlu. . . er, adventurers heard about the whirlpool you wouldn't be able to stop yerselves from coming to look at it. Now of course you're not welcome anywhere near our strongholds, but I figured if we made a dock for you and set up some shops out here, we might be able to make some money off of you. And I've been proven correct! It also gives me a chance to warn you. Keep yourself to this section of the beach. If any Blacksail finds you wandering about the Hook, you'll be cut down for sure.'

You say, 'What jobs do you have?'

Darius Blythe says 'Aye, I have several things that need doing.'

You are offered three tasks, one of which is 'Fire in the Hold'.

You have been assigned the task 'Fire in the Hold'.

Darius has asked you to do a bit of dirty work for him. He would like you to deliver a 'package' for him. The package should be quietly dropped off near the big shark jaw in Jardel's Inn. If you also reduce his competitors salary costs he will be pleased.

    Receive Inflammatory Device.

    1. Kill 2 Blacksail dockworker (The Buried Sea)

Dockworkers can be found in Jardel's Inn, the bottom level of the beached ship on Jardel's Hook island.

    2. Find a good location for the `package' to be dropped (The Buried Sea)

Stand in the shark jaws in the Inn, and simply drop invisibility to receive the task update at /loc -793, 2915, 310. There is no need to actually do anything with the Inflammatory Device. If you cannot Feign Death or use some other means of escape, it may be wise to clear this part of the Inn first.

    Your shadows fade.
You place the device in a location that seems suitable.
Your task 'Fire In The Hold' has been updated.

    3. Speak with Darius Blythe (The Buried Sea)

You've earned a bit of blood money!

Your faction standing with Blacksail Smugglers has been adjusted by 15.
You have successfully been granted your reward for: Fire in the Hold

You will always be offered experience and faction. Additional reward options open up if you have already completed other tasks on Jardel's Hook.

One thing to note, tried to do this on my druid and it wasn't until I removed eagle that I was able to get the update. So the Z axis is important.

I would like to contest this quests soloability, or otherwise be prooved wrong.

    ~edit~
If it's classified as being a Solo-Quest because you do not need to have a full group to get this task, then I guess that's different.

this quest is easily soloable by a 75 nec. all you have to do is stand at the entance to the ship then walk away from it but keep your self positioned so you can still see the dockworkers.

snare it then run WWAAYYYY out over the water turn around and fd. once everything is back in the boat the snared one will be standing out side easily kitable.

Left and right of the jaws are ladders (at angles) to 2nd floor.

Spot under left ladder is always good and quicker then bouncing about the jaws.

But you do have to have the item, don't do like I did and destroy it. Had to do over.

You dont actually have to kill, or in any other fashion, clear the room. All u need is an invis and a lev. Go into the room, none of the mobs see invis, and run into the jaws. Position urself right in the middle inside them. Click off invis and give it about a second for the update then RUN LIKE HELL.

You will definately get aggro, but u will also definately get the update.

When i did this for my toons i ran out of the building and straight across the beach to the water and kept on goin till i lost aggro.

Hope u don die, but it will work:)

I think this task was changed. I don't get the option of just placeing the bomb first. The only part of the task i can do is Kill two Dockworkers atm.

Have to kill two dockworkers first, then it opens the step for placing the device.

The only dockworkers that we could find were the ones actually inside the Jardel's Inn (ship-building) right next to the shark jawbone.

If you are NOT invis and do NOT have any aggro, then if you stand inside the jawbone you will get update.

So you need to either clear the room or have someone train them out whilst you slip in and get update. The only Dockworkers we could find were in that same room, so easiest to just clear the room then all jump up into the middle of teh jawbone.

Note that all the piriate missions will give you more options for rewards the higher your faction is. Many of the missions start out only offering you a single reward option, but when faction is incraesed you get more. Most of the pirate missions now offer me a choice of 8 or 9 rewards (7 or 8 different bones, or cash).
