The real purpose of this quest is to restock the High Quality Ores this merchant has for sale. The Refined High Quality Ores are used in making Ambleshift's Opal Automated Amalgamator. This is a tinkered item and is used to create seals such as Chain Cosgrove Boot Seal of the Cryomancer for eq players that participate in raids.
Do you get 14 plat for this one like with the bazaar NPC or just faction?

At level 5, I rec'd the quest and crate. However, I did max the beginning blacksmith by way of the tradeskill quest through Smith Wamukota. No idea if they are connected in some way.
I hailed this guy at level five and was told he didnt have anythign for anyone with my abilities. HAs the level for this quest changed? He gave me the correct dialogue but no crate.
