This is the second task in a series of three. It begins with Zhubis the Griffin Tamer at location +960, -1045 in Direwind (this is south of Gatekeeper Kor, on the other side of the valley).

You say, 'Hail, Zhubis the Griffin Tamer'

Zhubis the Griffin Tamer glances from side to side, to ensure no one is watching, 'You've got a lot of nerve coming here, ____. I'll give you that. But if you [despise] the ground that Dyn`leth walks upon as much as I do, then maybe we can assist one another.'

    You say, 'I despise him'

Zhubis the Griffin Tamer nods, 'Then we are of the same mind, and this meeting is a fortuitous one. I'm not sure how you knew that I wished to speak to an outsider. I told no one. If I had it would have meant my execution. What I do understand is that I was born into a world for someone else's cause, meant to die for someone else's flawed beliefs. Though this has afforded me some interesting [information] that I could share.'

    You say, 'What information?'

Zhubis the Griffin Tamer says 'With my inside knowledge of Dyn`leth's army and the temple, I'm sure we could wreak some havoc on the inner workings of Ashengate.'

You have been assigned the task 'Project Disarm'.

The armies of Dyn`Leth are ill equipped to battle without weaponry, and weapons are in limited supply. If you were to somehow dispose of their armaments it would put them at a distinct disadvantage against their counterparts in the south. Do you see where I am going with this? You can either relieve the armies of their weaponry by force or, for a less violent approach, search for them in supply chests and storage racks.

Destroy 8 Adamantium Drakkin Polearms 0/8 (Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale)

Destroy 8 Etched Drakkin Longswords 0/8 (Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale)

Destroy 8 Weighted Drakkin Whips 0/8 (Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale)

The weapons drop off Drakkins in the eastern and northern wings of Ashengate. You get a task update for looting. Should you find a rack of weapons or a weapon supply chest, then destroying them will give 5 or 6 updates at one go (spread over the 3 weapon types).

    Chest Locations:
    1073, -557, -4.92
    1114, -556, -4.92
    994, -489, -4.92
    1101, -430, -4.92
    1157, -564, -12
    1254, -721, -45
    1226, -745, -45

On looting the last weapon or destroying the last weapon-containing rack/chest:

Zhubis says, 'You have successfully disposed of a large number of weapons. Dyn`Leth's ranks will be hard pressed to arm themselves without them.'

Your faction standing with Infiltrators and Traitors of Ashengate has been adjusted by 200.
    You gain experience!!

This leads into the third task in the series.

Otswego is right. He is referring to the rooms that have the Overseer upstairs to them. The first room you reach has 2 chests. 2 other rooms have 1 chest each. Next room down the ramp has one more. Next room down the longer tunnel has two more. Locations are,
    1073, -557, -4.92
    1114, -556, -4.92
    994, -489, -4.92
    1101, -430, -4.92
    1157, -564, -12
    1254, -721, -45
    1226, -745, -45

Your faction standing with Infiltrators and Traitors of Ashengate has been adjusted by 200.

Weapons chests and racks are the best way to get your quota of weapons.

They seen to respawn quite quick and are non-assist. I sent my pet in to destroy the racks and the mobs did not assist! Even the quartermaster's did not assist when the pet was nearly touching them. True to life QMs, must have been their break time...

Found that Adamantium Drakkin Polearms, Etched Drakkin Longswords, and Weighted Drakkin Whips do drop from the drakkin in the north part. ive had 2 of each drop for me so far from the Drakkins in the north after about 4 hrs of pulling and respawns.

If you can effectively travel around Ashengate (rogues definatly, bards/necros/monks) you can solo this task.

In the east wing there is a room with 2 weapon racks/chests, one on north wall and one on south wall. Once every few minutes ONE drakkin wanders into room center, waits, then leaves. Everytime he leaves you can break the 2 racks/chests and refeign/sos/hide.

Each chest or rack gives 5 weapons at once at random, so it is much faster than killing drakkins.

The loc of the chest/rack on the southern wall of this room is: 1073, -557

Confirmed.. this is definately SoS rogue soloable. However, be careful on the way to that room. Right before this room, on the path overlooking the cliff, there is sometimes a named Drake that can see through SoS. You shouldnt die from this if you get aggroed, as jumpin off the cliff will zone you into Direwind. Took me 3 sets of chest/rack kills to finish the task. Additionally, you can do this with a full group at the zoneline and all of them will get the update as well!

You get credit for LOOTING those weapons off a corpse and you get credit for DESTROYING objects like A_weapon_supply_chest.

Whenever looting/destroying, every party member gets credit for it.

You can not loot items before having the task since only looting is counted.

Destroying 4 weapon chests/racks completed the task although that may be random. They respawn at the same rate or faster than the mobs so that's definitely the quickest way to finish the task.
