 This task begins with Gubjak the Lost at location 1840, -1645 in Blightfire Moors.

You say, 'Hail, Gubjak the Lost'

Gubjak the Lost says 'Who is it that would disturb the eternal journey of Gubjak the Lost? Are you another shade come to torture me? Or are you of the living who is soon to [crossover] and join us?'

You say, 'Crossover?'

Gubjak the Lost says 'Eons ago my people used this area to perform a sacred rite of passage. When an Ogre of Nokk was of the proper age, he would come down here to commune with the spirits of our ancestors to have his worthiness judged. If he was found worthy, he would be welcomed back as a true Rallosian. Yet if our ancestors found him [lacking], never would he be seen again.'

You say, 'Lacking?'

Gubjak the Lost says 'I too, was found to be lacking and thus the others and I here have been condemned to my fate. . .doomed to forever wander this dreary place. . .neither truly dead nor alive. I beg of you, if the living can have any [compassion] for the dead, to release us into the afterworld, Rova`lok.'

Kill 8 Gnarl Thorns
Loot 4 Bog Bark from Gnarl Thorns
Bring back four pieces of Bog Bark to Gubjak
Kill 5 Shades of Nokk
Speak with Gubjak

Gubjak the Lost says 'I thank thee. You will need to summon the spirits that haunt this wretched site by completing the ritual my ancestors once performed. Just within the marsh to the south of us are gnarl thorns that scour the bog, leeching rare nutrients from the soil. It is these minerals that when burned in the ritual stone ring, that will call forth the restless dead. Head to the marsh and bring back four pieces of this bark. Then I will place them in the ritual circle and light the [fire].'

You say, 'Fire?'

Gubjak the Lost says 'The holy flame will summon forth the spirits in the area which you must defeat in order to weaken their hold upon the world of the living. Once you have accomplished this, seek me out for further instructions.'

Kill eight gnarl thorns in the swamp of Blightfire. Then loot four Bog Barks.

Hand in the four Bog Barks to Gubjak.

Gubjak the Lost says 'I will add this to the fire to keep the ritual going. With this the fire should burn for another hour.'
Gubjak the Lost says 'Wait here while I light the holy fire that will summon my brethren.'

As you approach Gubjak, you can almost make out a melancholic smile. He informs you that you have successfully loosened the hold the lost Ogre spirits had on the world of the living but now must perform the [second] portion of the cleansing ritual.
Your faction standing with Spirits of Nokk got better.
Your faction standing with Guardians of the Dark Tower got better.
Your faction standing with Circle of the Crystalwing got worse.
You gain experience!!

This is the lead-in to a second task, Lay Them to Rest.

Is there any way to get Gubjak to start the fire if you missed it the first time, did not know that when I gave him the 4 pieces of bog bark that I had to go kill the shades right then. I left and when I had time to do the killing I came back but he will not go start the fire. I don't want to have to start this quest from the beginning.

Gubjak will head towards to empty fire pit, he then will light it up

11ish A shades of Nokk will spawn around the fire (/loc 1840, -2000), they have no faction hit and will respawn every 11mins until the hour is up
