Scout Ethaniel may be found at /loc -230, -1700.

This task is unlocked after completing the previous task, "The Bixie Threat?"

You say, 'Hail, Scout Ethaniel'

Scout Ethaniel says 'Now that Verrin is safe back at Crescent Reach we can proceed with our mission. You see we have been paying careful attention to these Bixies who seem single mindedly focused upon growing their crops. Will you go and collect some of the bixies' [jumjum]?'

You say, 'What jumjum?'

You have been assigned the task 'Bixie Jumjum'.

Scout Ethaniel says 'This variety seems to be quite different than any other type we know about. It grows more rapidly and aggressively than other species. It is also strangely colored and of course there is this bizarre almost rabid devotion the bixies practice in growing it. We need you to go out and bring back several samples of the various varieties.'

Bring back samples of the rare varieties of Jumjum.

Collect some samples of Golden Jumjum 0/3 - Blightfire Moors

Collect some samples of Striped Jumjum 0/3 - Blightfire Moors

Both "Golden Jumjum" and "Striped Jumjum" come from buckets scattered around in the jumjum field. The buckets are not targetable. You can find out if one is clickable by clicking it from far away and seeing if you get the message "You can't reach that, get closer." Upon getting close and clicking it, it will disappear and will either place a Golden Jumjum or Striped Jumjum on your cursor or sometimes nothing at all. Keep doing this until you collect 3 of each. The buckets will respawn over time so just keep searching for them.

See what you can discover at the other field 0/1 - Blightfire Moors

Task updated at /loc -1330, -2535.

Look in the cart to see if there is anything of interest 0/1 - Blightfire Moors

Task updated at /loc -1510, -2615 by the cart in the field.

Slow down the production of Jumjum by reducing the number of bixies 0/10 - Blightfire Moors

Kill 10 bixies of any sort in the surrounding area.

Bring the golden samples back to Ethaniel 0/3 - Blightfire Moors

Bring the striped samples back to Ethaniel 0/3 - Blightfire Moors

Upon handing in the sixth sample:

You carefully place the pieces of jumjum down at Ethaniel's feet. He sniffs at a few and seems to be fairly repulsed by the odor. He explains that later on, he'll have a courier send them back to Crescent Reach for further examination but thanks you for helping them out in this matter.

Your faction standing with Circle of the Crystalwing got better.
You gain experience!!

This unlocks the task, "Bixie Plans."

Both Golden Jumjum & Striped Jumjum spawn in the same row - the gold is up at the top, the striped down in the next to last bucket from the end of the row.

Do not be fooled - the Striped Jumjum is ALSO gold, not purple, as you might suppose, to distinguish it from the Golden Jumjum. No, SoE game programmers were too lazy to code for a purple bucket for the other kind. So again, both Golden Jumjum & Striped Jumjum are in gold colored fruit buckets. This caused me no end of irritation.

Don't know about rogues, but regular invis seems to block the ability to loot the baskets.

The buckets have a 9 minute respawn, really feel this should be much less, but then, is there any reasoning behind SoE's practices?

Waiting for the gold/yellow jumjum buckets to spawn is a pain in the rear!

You'll notice doing this that the only buckets that are targetable have gold/yellow colored jumjums in them. Hopefully this will save other idiots like myself from clicking on all the buckets like a lunatic whispering wtf to one's self :x

My Rogue found that if in hide/sneak mode, she could not collect samples of the Jumjum.
