This raid expedition (6-54 players) begins with Efrelle Treiui in the North Ro Wayfarer camp.

You say, 'Hail, Efrelle Treiui'

Efrelle Treiui says 'To have seen shades of my former ancestors in the broken city of Takish-Hiz has brought a darkness to my heart that I've never known. If I knew a way to restore the sand elves to their former beauty I would. For now though, there is much to learn from them. You look to be well-versed in the ways of the sand elves and Takish-Hiz. If you can rally the call of your friends perhaps you can help us with a serious [problem].'

You say, 'A problem?'

Efrelle Treiui says 'Our presence in Takish-Hiz has given the aimless Jeweled Guard a purpose after so many years. Each day, more of them recall how to organize themselves in battle and they are forming armies with one purpose, to put an end to any intruder. That's us, friend. You will need your own army to put a stop to that growing force so it is safer for the rest of us. Are you [interested]?

You say, 'I'm interested'

Efrelle Treiui says 'Do what is necessary, _____. We cannot afford to allow the Jeweled Guard to impede our progress.

The direction to the entry to your instanced zone(s) have been marked on your compass.
Takish-Hiz: Within the Compact is now available to you.

Trash mobs in this zone hit for a max ~800. The first four nameds hit for a max ~1,400. The final named hits for a max ~2,100.

You'll need to clear your way to the circular room in the southwestern part of the zone.

In this room, you'll find five nameds:

Quintessence of Sand - is rooted until Ritana dies.
Ritana the Convoker - Casts Mana Spectrum (PBAE 400', Prismatic -200. Increase Curse Counter by 24).
After she repops she casts Curse of Takish-Hiz (PBAE 100' Prismatic -200. Decrease ATK by 300, Increase Curse Counter by 24, Decrease Hitpoints by 400 per tick)
Thosan the Manipulator - Casts Clinging Clay (PBAE 400', Disease -300. Decrease ATK by 150, Increase Disease Counter by 24)
Tweyne the Sandcaller
Unala the Avenger

The nameds are leashed to the room, so you can pull trash mobs out of there without a problem.

If you kill Thosan, Tweyne, and Unala but are out of range of the Quintessence of Sand, regardless of his health he begin summoning his current target. Its not a normal summon as it puts you right on top of him.

When you kill Thosan, Tweyne, and Unala, 2 mezzable elementals will spawn in their position. At level 70, their agro range was small enough that after killing the first two that were in the way, I was able to kill Ritana and the Quintessence without them agroing.

Then get the Quintessence of Sand down to 20% health at which point it gains a massive regeneration ability. Once the Quintessence is at 20%, you'll want to kill Ritana the Convoker. Once Ritana dies, you can kill the Quintessence.

Up to three chests spawn with loot following the death of the Quintessence.

Known raid loot from this event (Two items from each chest, can have duplicates from the same chest):

Ritanas Ornate Chest
Ledanne's Jewel of Cessation
Ritana's Refracting Prism
Ritana's Sandstone of Prowess
Unala's Stone of Enhanced Protection

The Gem Encrusted Chest

Our guild does this consistently every week during LDoN. It's a pretty quick dungeon but it also is probably one of the most involved outside of one of the Everfrost ones. Our strategy involves kiting some of the named while focusing DPS on one. Video has our strategy for this raid & I abbreviated out a lot of the trash mob killing. https://youtu.be/xII0hAmSHUw

Kill Order

Kill order does matter, if you kill Ritana before "unlocking" her via getting the golem to 20%, you will only get 2 chests.

Five named in Boss Room:

Twenye - (kill as part of first three)

Unala - (kill as part of first three)

Thorsan - (kill as part of first three)

Ritana - (will reset to 100% after getting the golem to 20%, so don't bother dpsing until later).

Quintesence of Sand - The golem, permarooted, get him to 20% to remove the spellshield guarding Ritana. You can't kill him now as he gains insane regen at 20%, until Ritana is killed.

Essentially you need to burn down the 3 trash named (twenye, unala, thorsan), then leash or offtank ritana while getting the golem to 20%. Once golem is at 20% it's hp locks up, and you have to kill ritana (she can be killed earlier with pure melee, but as noted, you will only see 2 chests). Once ritana is down you can finish off golem and get the 3 chests.

I've done this raid about a dozen times, horrible luck with the evoc aug (only seen 2 so far). The first 10 times I would zerg ritana down with garg pets before killing QoS (resulting in only 2 chests) duuuur.

This raid can be solo'd 85 mage. Takes some finesse getting all the named down but luck for the leash can go in and burn/try and keep pet up then retreat til you get them.
Also ran out of mana on Golem and had none when he hit 20% to kill Ritana so had to CoN out and came back fm to burn Ritana because the shield remains down as long as you get golem to 20% pre wipe/retreat.
I wasn't able to land anything on golem. Not even summon dd spells were landing for 1-2k if not resisted so just chain RS and Torrid skin on pet til he dies.. and btw he has massive regen. Somewhere in the range of 7-8k because his health was going up with just my pets 1100 dps on him

the raid giver is Efrelle Treiui in northern ro. high elf female. loc 7910, -551

note: ritana is immune to everything. only pet damage landed. spells do not work, melee weapons do not work. only pet damage.

the golem- lures will work, but count on melee/pet damage for your win

Completed this last night with 85 mag EM6 air pet, 85 mag EM4 air pet, 85 nec (dunno? EM1 probably pet) and shammy box.

The trash is super easy, mag pet can solo it, 3-4 max per pull, hit for 800 range. When you get to the room described in all the posts, clear the trash around the room (never repopped on us). You will aggro the named guys, just pull all the trash out of room, and the named pop back to their spawn points. When you pull the named, they all come, except for the big golem. They all have a fair amount of hp, i'd guess bout 4 times what Korafax trash have, and hit for 1200-1400 range, are almost totally immune to regular spells, however summoned dd (-100 magic resist) hit them most of the time.

Save Ritana for last, and once you get her to ?? percent, golem is 'active' (he started summoning us). We dps'd golem down. It was a very long fight, he is extremely immune. Even after mala'd (unresistable) I never got aa malo or Malosenea rk3 to land. Only dd I got to hit, and that was only about 1/2 the time was summoned dd. Even tried getting within melee range to cast to see if was a belly caster, still resisted.

EM4 pet tanked Ritana while EM6 air pet tanked golem and nec pet(s) added dps to golem, then finally added EM4 air pet to dps golem. When golem got to 20pct, we killed Ritana, then finished him off. Probably took 15 min to kill golem, I highly suggest you bring more melee dps than we had :)

Highest hit I saw the brief time I was in melee range of him was just over 2k.

The chssts are locked, just melee them to get them to open, dropped 2 of the augs we were after, Tweyne's Stone of Evocation, so each mag got one, couple armor pieces, and couple other augs hp regen 10 and stun resist 5 I think?.

I did a brief test in arena (Test server dummies) and it saves me average 22mana per cast on bolt of molten scoria rk3, from average cost of 727 mana, to 705. Casting more than 50 nukes on a tough raid mob, Pallorax, Mindshear, etc, this'll save me 1k mana per fight regularly.

So, until I can load up all my augs with over 800m or more each... this one'll be a keeper :)

I want to thank Mildyre of Test for informing me of the greatness of this aug!

Nylrem, 85 Magician of Test, Officer of Tribe, member of Test Server Friends

The way this event works is, you clear to the five named mobs.. Thosan, Ritana, Unala, Tweyne, and Quintessence of Sand (named golem in the center). The area where they are is SW of map (big circular room- should be labeled Named Golem. Have a big tank and big healer with you in grp as well as DPS.

We pulled the 4 nameds over to the entrance to their room since they are leashed and killed them one by one except for Ritana. You cant split them since they are resistant and cant kill Ritana because she is invulernable at the moment. Kill Unala, Tweyne, and Thosan and get out of the room and med. Then start killing Quintessence of Sand in the center. Once again Ritana will be assisting but there is not much you can do about it. A Quintessence of Sand has a buttload of HP and when he gets to 20%, Ritana gets to where you can start hitting her. Have the grp kill her before finishing off QoS. Good luck!

Ok, not much posted here, so I will type what happens as we attempt it with a single group of 6. If successful, there will be more in this post than if not. lol.

75 War, 75 Druid x2, 75 Chanter, 75 Rouge, 75 Cleric.

All with 1.5 and 2.0 epics.

Mobs not bad, (light blue) but sometimes come in groups. Need crowd control.
Rogue was nice in disarming the traps.

As we zoned in, there were two mobs. From there we went east. Occasionlly met mobs that were imune to run speed changes.

Mobs in zone included:
a city patroller
a Flowkeeper director
a Flowkeeper inventor
a giant burrowing scarab
a Geomantic Compact prodigy
a Guardian of the Compact
a Jeweled Guard hero
a menacing tree spirit
a petrified observer
a Royal confidante
a Royal guardian
a Royal messenger
a Royal representative
a Summoned Greater Defender
a trusted Flowkeeper
a vengeful gemwalker
an ancient sand frog
an earthen defender
an enraged stoneservant
an intense spiritstorm

These guys conned dark blue
Quintessence of Sand
Thosan the Manipulator
Tweyne the Sandcaller
Ritana the Convoker
Unala the Avenger

and the special mobs
a hollow tree

Did try the Friendship fire. That did not seem to work to get people back in after death. Best to put it just prior to zone in.

Make sure traps in area you rez are cleared before you rez. They are mean enough to pop the rezzed guy pretty quick.

The real fun happens when you get to the golem room. Suggest cleaning the trash first as it seems to add if you don't.

question about how to obtain an LDON Raid
# Feb 07 2007 at 2:48 PM Rating: Decent
I know the requirements for an LDON Raid is-

1. Minimum level of 61 to participate
2. average level of raid 63 or higher
3. all players participating must have 2 LDON Victories.
4. Raid must consist of a minimum of 3 groups.

My question is, is there any other requirements that leader or raid must have to start an LDON raid?

No longer true. LDoN raids now launchable with 1 group, and only the leader has to have his wayfarer's stone. Do not need to keep 6 people in to hold the instance, nor do the people in have to have their adventurer's stone. They do, however, have to have the expansion. No level requirement either, and players can be added after victory, making the LDoN raids twinkable.
