This is the final task in a series of five.

Find Scout Madu in Goru'kar Mesa at loc -1955, +540. This is a short distance to the west of the zoneline to Blightfire Moors.

This task requires that you have already completed "Parlay with the Dromrek, Again". At the end of that task...

Scout Madu says 'Oh dear. That's not good. They are less intelligent than I expected. It seems like they are not smart enough to want to parlay, but are only interested in killing. I need you to slow down their advance. Can you kill the [leader] of the outliers for me? That should slow down their plans.'

You say, 'I will kill their leader'

Scout Madu says 'Thank you. It will be a great relief to have this threat reduced. You may have to kill the lower ranked giants for a while in order to make the leader show up.'

You have been assigned the task 'Reduce the Dromrek Threat'.

Kill Bigone and report back to Scout Madu

Kill 1 Bigone - Goru`kar Mesa

Bigone is a level 55 giant that can be found close to the zone to The Steppes.

Speak with Scout Madu - Goru`kar Mesa

You say, 'Hail, Scout Madu'

Your task 'Reduce the Dromrek Threat' has been updated.

Hopefully you have stopped an impending raid by the Dromrek.

You gain experience!!

Scout Madu says 'Thank you. I feel much better about the situation. You have been a great help to us.'

You have successfully been granted your reward for: Reduce the Dromrek Threat

Reward choices:
Crystalwing Goru'kar Scout Health Stone
Crystalwing Goru'kar Scout Power Stone
Crystalwing Goru'kar Scout Shielding Stone

The Bard song Silent Song of Quellious has the same effect on the giants as the wand. Other calming spells might work on them as well. Much easier than swapping the wand in and out.

i did this quest last night with 54 wiz and tank merc. was a very close fight- i found a 68 druid hunting nearby and bummed a DS for my merc, that probably helped quite a bit. the dromek shaman add did not help quite as much. merc was down to 4% health at the end. dispite having a friend, bigone decided to try and run at about 5%. the summons were not so bad... he did summon me probably 8-10 times during the fight. he had snare on him so it was easy to get away. i was probably 55% at the end just from getting summoned and clobbered while in range. surely the wiz has the advantage, i wouldnt want to melee this guy at 54. bigone conned yellow at this lvl.

It doesnt seem to work for me to get this task... I've completed all prior ones.

pita dromrek quest

I rate this quest as awesome. The aug's are a good boost for melee toon's, and being able to get them at 43 is a huge help for your toon. You will need the help of a good group to get them at that lvl but quite doable. It gives extra regen and ac to those in need and will keep you going untill you can get your don faction done. My lvl 69 sk still has 2 of the augs and makes a great addition to him. The only downside is that the quest itself is pita four parts omg this quest can take forever. I recomend this to high lvl guildies to help 5 other 40 range toons to help them get this quest done if will improve them greatly and we all know that medding in the 40's is the pits. well thats my blah blah about that.
Soloing Bigone with a monk

My lvl 67 monk soloed him with barely decent gears, just use haste pot, DS pot and HoT pot, one for each. Got the HP aug, will repeat the whole quest for the 20 HP/Mana/End aug.

Solo'd the last part of this quest with my 66 Shammy and buffed up 61 pet. Was a little tricky, rooted and slowed him, sent pup in with SoL and dotted him up. Kept healing the pet till Bigone enraged and killed dog. Dropped him after he summon'd me. Very lucky, but can be solo'd, as long as you keep agro on the pet and not you.

Hope this helps.

55 War, 53 War, 61 Druid Technique to drop Bigone
# Jan 31 2007 at 5:33 AM Rating: Decent
1) Cleared some of the yard trash Dromreks around Bigone, staying far enough away so as to not aggro him. This eliminates the possibility of adds. The other giants are decent XP and the plat is good.

2) Parked a little ways away from Bigone and buffed everybody up with the Druid. Shield of Blades, Protection of Cabbage, Girdle of Karana, Regen. Druid brought up his bear cub pet and buffed it (yes, the pet is awful, but it does a little damage). Warriors each took an Elixir of Speed and Skinspikes IV potion.

3) Ran the 55 Warrior (Main Tank) up to Bigone, attacked and popped the Defensive Disc, Slam/Kick, Taunt and Bellow. 53 Warrior was equipped with a 2-hander and did not taunt. For giggles and aggro I popped the Mighty Strike Disc on the MT also.

4) Druid sends the pet and snares Bigone. DO NOT LET SNARE DROP OFF HIM, he runs fast and will collect up friends quickly, which will mean your death. Druid cast Ro's Fiery Sundering debuff on Bigone.

5) All the Druid has to do now is heal the MT with Choloroblast, keep snare on Bigone at all times, and cast the occasional nuke. I imagine one could DOT with Winged Death if they wanted to, I didn't need it and preferred to keep the MT's health up as high as possible and wanted to keep aggro on him - Bigone will drop a level 61 Druid VERY quickly.

Bigone will hit for 450 (unless Defensive is popped and you have your level 55 Combat Stability and Combat Agility AA's), and he summons. Let the MT keep aggro at all times.

Return to Scout Madu, hail him, and select your aug!

This is repeatable. All 5 tasks have to be done again. It goes MUCH quicker once you've done it, as you learn shortcuts.

The biggest timesaver I found was for the Parlay, Again task. You only need to Hail them for an update. Invis to them, drop and hail (spam the H key until you get the update) - then zone the freshly aggroed mob - no need to spend the time to kill them.
This is very important when hailing Bigone, as you need to kill him for the final task. I killed him the first time and had to wait for him to respawn to complete the last task

When doing parley again, do not slay them.
I walked up to them invis, used the magic rod,
and hailed them. They do not aggro after being
sprinkled by bixie dust. Then invis up and repeat
for next one.

I stood near steppes zl targeted named one by one and hailed, got all of this task done without getting even close to agro range.

Can you do this quest multiple times? And if so do you need to do all 5 or can you do 5 over and over once you complete 1-4?
repeatable?

I just did this a second time and was able to choose a second reward. But you do need to do all five parts over.
