This is the second in a series of five tasks.
Find Scout Madu in Goru'kar Mesa at loc -1850, -700. This is a short distance to the west of the zoneline to Blightfire Moors.
This task requires that you have already completed "Research the Dromrek". At the end of that task...
You say, 'Hail, Scout Madu'
You have gathered enough information to give Madu an idea about the extent of the Dromrek hunting grounds and what sort of beings they might be.
Scout Madu says 'Hrm. Maybe they are more intelligent than I thought. Why don't you go and [talk] to some of the more intelligent looking ones?'
You say, 'I will talk'
Scout Madu says 'Maybe they are only so angry because no one tries to talk them out of it. Give it a try.'
You have been assigned the task 'Parlay with the Dromrek'.
Do your best to best to communicate with the Dromrek that seem to be in charge or in positions of some social rank.
Each of the following steps open up one by one. You can try talking to the Dromrek but they will attack.. the task updates as you kill each named individual. The Dromrek run on low health, and run fast, so snare or root of some kind may be useful.
- Try speaking with the Dromrek Cook - Goru`kar Mesa
- Perhaps you can speak with their provisioner - Goru`kar Mesa
- Maybe the Dromrek foodpicker will be more amiable - Goru`kar Mesa
- Talk to the Dromrek bashermaker - Goru`kar Mesa
- Speak with Scout Madu - Goru`kar Mesa
You say, 'Hail, Scout Madu'
Your task 'Parlay with the Dromrek' has been updated.
The Dromrek seem to not want to speak with you.
You gain experience!!
Scout Madu says 'I don't understand. Your description makes them sound organized. More so every time you come back. But they just keep attacking you, even when you try and talk to them. If you are up to it, would you go [research] a way to talk to the Dromrek? I am sure that if we can just talk to them we can convince them to stop attacking everyone.'
This is the lead-in to the task "Soothe the Savage Beast". |
