After I finally went back and actually got the Stone Hive item and turned IT in, my charm upgraded. (I didn't have to zone to see upgrade, either.)

| Find Librarian Hemfar on the first floor of Crescent Reach.
You say, 'Hail, Librarian Hemfar' Librarian Hemfar says 'Vasha, friend. I am the second-born of Keikolin the Enlightened, the most knowledgeable dragon of the Six. I am to aid in the education of drakkin and all who choose to enlighten their minds. I am a collector of artifacts and one of the founders of the Written Word and the Wanderlust Guild so we may learn from books and life. I have a unique gift that you may partake in if you [aid] in my work. Or you may simply ask me what [lore] I have gathered from artifacts in these lands. You say, 'Aid your work?' Librarian Hemfar says 'Yes, indeed. I have been given a sight-gift from Lady Keikolin. In many artifacts I can see within them and through the eyes of those they belonged to. It allows me to create a history that will become part of this library. Should you find any artifacts in the surrounding lands, bring them to me and I shall reward you and be able to add to the [volumes] of our great library.' You say, 'What volumes?' Librarian Hemfar says 'There are many creatures present and past that lived in these mountains, including the ogres that once lived in this very city. What exactly happened to them and their kind is somewhat of a mystery, but given time and the right artifacts, we shall learn more. I can reward you if you bring artifacts to me. Then, you may ask what [lore] and legend is available as people bring me artifacts and I can share the history with you when it is scribed.' This is an ongoing quest to upgrade the charm, Serpent Seeker's Charm of Lore. After handing in at least five of the required items, you "get an option that looks like it's the same old exp, but click the option and it shows charm as reward". As you hand in each of the following items from around the Serpent's Spine, the charm will increase in strength. It is not known which items boost stats, or how many are required for each increase. There does not appear to be any particular requirement for order, either. These are the items known to be involved. There are probably many more. Items used in this quest read "This artifact might interest someone in Crescent Reach" when the spell Identify is cast upon them. well first off if u have not done the wanderlust tasks.. that might help.
the charm says it gains power as your knowledge of the tss zones becomes greater. so doing wanderlust prior to the charm will probally show the stats sooner.
I have done wanderlust and am currently on the Ashengate part of that task series ( last mission) and i just started the charm of lore.
After turning in all the cresent reach, blightfire, Blackfeather, Mesa, Stonehive, and the Ashengate drop the charm is (with aug) Ac13 +18 stats +114 hps mana end, some resists and 3 atk.
Aug is currently at ac10 and 16 stats 67 hps mana some resists
So Charm is AC3 +2 stats + 47 hps/mana and some resists 3 atk

Is there any way to tell which artifacts you have already handed in? I am rather certain I have handed in all from CR and Blightfire, and I know I have handed in at least 2 (and I think actually 3) from Goru'kar, but I still have no stats (even after zoning). I was just wondering if there was a way to see this info.

I don't think this charm has anything to do with how far you have come in your Wanderlust Guild tasks, but I guess I could be wrong. Anyhow, I have counted 11 artifacts that I have turned in: All from CR and Blightfire, the one listed in Blackfeather, and 3 from Mesa. Still no stats.
HOWEVER, I did look at my Rewards list under the EQ button/menu, and it showed the charm again. I couldn't get it again, because it is lore, so I destroyed the old one, and took the new one: still no change, even after zoning.

Update:
I have now turned in 14 items, and have done all of the Wanderlust quests available to me up to my level (54). My Wanderlust aug is nice 3ac, 5stats, 22hp/mana/end, 3svs,... but that is all that shows. My charm has not moved a bit. :(

halfling foot is in a flower /open. <where the red flower grows> is the name of it.

I went to do this today. The door is now locked and no idea how to open it to get to the book on the table that is supposed to be the Linguist's Note. Any idea as to why?

Just picked it up about 20 mins ago. The door wasn't locked. Make sure you to into the Inn area, then up the ramp to the 'balcony' above, then turn down that hall. The 2nd door on your right is the correct one.

i got 12 item turn in an all my stats read +1 an has not change

I have all of the drops except the ones in Direwind, Ashengate, Valenholm and Frostcrypt and the Magelo updated says that my charm is only 20% complete.

Hmm i have completed 25 turn-ins for this charm still sitting at 47 hp/mana/end. At this rate i would think that the checklist is only 50% partial at best. Has anyone finished this? Does anyone have any further drops not listed? Any help would be great.

Can anyone tell me the area in which this item is found in BM? I have all the others from that area but this one seems to be hard for me to find.

It's in the fields near the entrance to stone hive. I think it was in a flower there, which looks like the other flowers you open in different zones for this quest.

I turned in 17 artifacts and i never got the charm. what did i do wrong?
Hit the EQ button on your screen, then goto Quests, then to Rewards. You can get it there.

I've turned in 8 items from CR, BM, and SH. The only stats showing on the charm are the stats generated by the augment from the wanderlust guild. Anyone know if the charm generates any stats on its own?

Charm shows stats on its own at 8turn ins. Gets 2nd upgrade at 15 turn ins. You have to unequip the charm and reequip it to see stat increase.

and when do you get next upgrade? i'm currently at 22 turn ins and it's sitting at 47hp/mana/end etc, so it sux still

The drop in Icefall Glacier is from an elder icewing.
Well since the patch I have actually Lost stats on mine. I did the turn ins pre patch from crescent reach and blightfire and it has 8hitpoints 8mana. AFter patch it went to 0 stats. Today I got 5 items from goru and it still has no stats. In each turn in I turned 1 item in at a time. I have hailed him and followed through with his text, nothing.
And yes I equiped the charm and looked at it.
Do I need to destroy the old charm and get a new one? I petitioned a GM but I figured I will get the usual lame response of either a) Start the quest over again, or b) I don't know seek help from other paying customers because I can't help.

For Devan's Feathered Arrow in Goru'kar Mesa I do believe u have the wrong location. The location posted is in a part of the map that is un accessable. Based off a post on this list (not the location listed but one where it gives the points to insert into the map file) I would say that the signs should be reversed. Instead of -480, 1920 ish should be 480, -1920

I have since found this location. It was in the 'slime' cave near the mihoten encampment. The reason I couldn't find previously is that the cave was not marked on the version of the map that I have. For anyone that downloaded tss maps during first release from mapfiend you'll want to update them.

I've gone through the dialog with him countless times and no charm...I've done the first 2 parts of the quest in hopes that would get me the charm but no luck there as well. Is this quest broken?

I have confirmed, quest is broken. I just got a responce from GM Mapan. Should be fixed next patch, we shall see...
