This is the third of five tasks in a series. (In the previous task you received the Ashengate Seal, an item which allows you to bypass the golems guarding the gate to Ashengate. This task results in the ability to use the "griffon ride" to bypass the bridges.)

Scout Keshik can be found in Direwind Cliffs just to the east of the zoneline to Sunderock Springs.

You say, 'Hail, Scout Keshik'

Scout Keshik says 'Shhh. . . The enemy is near! Zryan and I are forward scouts sent by the Crusade of the Scale to spy on Ashengate. Dyn`leth's forces keep the approach to Ashengate Temple well guarded, but I believe I have found an alternate [route] to the temple!'

You say, 'What route?'

Scout Keshik says 'The legions guard the cliffs, but not the skies!'

You have been assigned the task 'The Ashengate Griffins'.

Keshik says, `I've been tracking Dyn'leth's troops up and down the approach to Ashengate Temple. Most of the grunts march up in mass, but the elite soldiers, the leaders legions, use an item called the Ashengate Seal to summon trained griffons to carry them up the cliffs. If you can capture the Ashengate Seal, we can use it to summon a griffon and fly directly up the northern cliffs. The griffons are even trained to remember those who carry the seal, so you will only need it the first time you call a griffin.'

Show the Ashengate Seal to Keshik - Direwind Cliffs

You are now able to bypass the four outposts by catching a "griffon ride" past them by talking to Scout Keshik. From now on, when you hail Scout Keshik:

You say, 'Hail, Scout Keshik'

Scout Keshik says 'Good to see you again, _____. Shall I [summon a griffon] to carry you to the cliffs near Ashengate Temple?'

Rewards changed

Mask of the Ages, Porous Lifestone, and Swiftstone Necklace were the rewards offered when I first accepted the quest, within a day or two of TSS release. Since then, the quest appears to have been changed. The quest reward is now roughly 30% of a level 75 AA.

I am betting that these rewards have been pushed to the (broken) final quest from Scout Zryan, who gives the "Gray Legion", "The Approach", and "The Black Legion" quest line. Similar behaviour occurred with a quest line on Sunderock that at first resulted in several chances to chose from the same quest reward items list. Those quests now only offer the reward upon completion of the last mission in the quest line (The Sunderock Geyser quest line).

The Ashengate Seal is NOT the result of this task. As Dragkila mentioned below, this seal is obtained by the task 'The Approach'.
But this Seal is needed here. After handing in this item, you get it back immediately and the Reward is something different: From now on you can go to Scout Keshik and if you want to he ports you all the way up to the top of the mountain, close to the two Guardians at Ashengate zoneline.

These 4 Nameds can hit up to 4k dmg, and almost all will flurry, rampage and enrage.

these hit for nearly 5k not 4k, (4944) was one of the hits I recieved. im not sure if this was a normal attack, part of the flurry, part of his quad hit, or part of the rampage.

im a 74 BL with almost 12k hp, he took me out in a millisecond along with a few others in my group. He was at 30% when we wiped, another group stepped in and they too were dogmeat. if he rampages on you and your not a plate class, you better have a deathpact type spell on.

To get the seal you have to complete both quests offered by Scout Zryan, the npc next to Scout Keshik.

May have multiple posts here, they're not displaying after entering :(

It's a reward from the second quest offered by Scout Zryan, the npc next to this one.
