Find Alibee in Icefall Glacier, sitting down just east of the zone-in from The Steppes.

You say, 'Hail, Alibee'

Alibee says, 'Greetings _____. Out exploring I take it? I wonder if I might ask you a small [favor] since you're in the area.'

You say, 'What favor?'

Alibee says, 'My friend was out here earlier exploring the ruins near the glacier. However, I hadn't heard from him in some time and was growing worried. My fears were confirmed when La`See here came running into Crescent Reach. I followed her out here but managed to twist my ankle and am no longer able to go further over this terrain. When you appeared I had hoped you would be able to [continue] with La`See and see if she can show you what happened to my friend.'

You say, 'I will continue'

Alibee says, 'Ah thank you _____. La`See has always been smart for a wolf and I expect she will be able to lead you straight to where she left Timmi. Let her know when you're ready to leave.'

You have been assigned the task 'Timmi Fell Down the Well!'.

Timmi never goes anywhere without La`See. The fact that La`See came to find Alibee would seem to say that Timmi is in trouble. Since Alibee is injured, you will need to follow La`See and see if you can come to Timmi's aid.

  • 1. Follow La'see to find Timmi 0/1 (Icefall Glacier)

Hail La'see and follow him along the southern section of the zone to a well in the southeastern corner of the zone. A lot of wolves are in the way, and you cannot invis (La'See will will not move). He will stop at the well. You need to go down inside. Here, invis up as the two orcs at the bottom do NOT see invis.

  • 2. Kill the 2 orcs guarding Timmi 0/1 (Icefall Glacier)

Kill the two orcs (a Coldeye outcast), which hit for upwards of 1500-1600, summon, and are slowable.

  • 3. Free Timmi from his cage 0/1 (Icefall Glacier)

Once you kill the two orcs, break open the cage, and hail Timmi. He then pops up top outside the well.

  • 4. Escort Timmi back home 0/1 (Icefall Glacier)

Hail Timmi and follow him back to Alibee (through all the wolves again)

That's it. The reward for this task is a Dog Whistle.

    Timmi don’t like SK’s

95 Iksar SK, did this solo with no problem. Once Timmi got out of the well and talked to La’see, I hailed him to start things moving and I get:
La’see says “Shadowknights like you always bring out the worst in me!”
La’see says “Time to die, Yuggoth”
La’see says “I really hate Shadowknights like you!”

    I FD, stand up,

Timmi says “Time to die, Yuggoth”
Timmi says “I really hate Shadowknights like you!”
Timmi says “My comrades will avenge my death” as he dies on my damage shield.

Follow the dog, get back to Alibee, quest ends, get reward... even though Timmi is dead near the well.

omg ok so everyone's got all these plans and tactics on best way to do this. well me, a lvl 90 cleric of all things lol, got bored and decided to do this by myself with a tank merc. went and got quest, was quite simple, followed the wolf, and killed off all the cousins and kept going, got to well, a min later had orcs dead and timmi free and since all wolves were pretty much dead already, was a very uneventful trip back and got dog whistle. too bad its just like our hammer pets. after mob is dead, pets despawn. wonder when sony will give us an actual clicky pet that will just walk and follow us around? is that asking too much?
    Some notes.

Did this today. Follow the dialogue with Albee. When you get ready, hail La'See. Lassie will begin to move towards the well. Go invis, like I did. This confuses La'See. La'see then starts walking north. It bugs the quest to ho end.

Follow the dog. Continue to hail it while nothing happens. Give up on the dog and run to the well. The task updates. I kid you not. La'see is 1/2 way across the zone...but when I get to the well, i get an update and La'See was there, when I spun around. So, check the quest log, yah, it's good and greened up.

I spent about 10-15 minutes waiting for the dog to make up his mind to go to the well. Sometimes, he just rocked back and forth, yeah, like a little clock mechanism. Tick, tock, I'm bugged. Tick, tock. No whistle for you. I don't know if the quest just "assumed" there was enough time past, so La'See Should be there..and just PUT him there. Oh well.

Down we go. Invis. Epic pet, 2 swarms of decay, main pet with VoiD C focus and 78 mage gear. J5 Merc. When all was done, 2 dead orcs, and merc was at 50 percent. I have 1100 AA.

Now, the fun part. Break Tim out of jail, he pops to the top. I try the "invis and confuse them trick"....maybe they will just pop back there. Noooo.. they wait for you to walk them home. Right through packs and packs and packs of wolves. Since you can't invis, you have to kill every stinking wolf that gets in your way. I'd imagine I kileld about 20 of them. Maybe a few more. Most I had at once was 3 adolescents (twice), and 2 adolescents and 3 pups (also twice). Most of the time, it was a single or a double, since there are a lot of adds in this area.

It's a really neat item. He went toe to tow with a adolescent wolf for 9 seconds. Wonder if a mage would like this...item? :D

80 bard and 80 paladin took this duo in just under 40 minutes.

    Bard 12k/3.2k 675aa's, paladin 18.7k/3.7k 700ish aa's (Max defensives)

Event didn't time out and had to fight our way through the wolves on the way there, and mezz/faded off the wolves on the way back. Orcs cannot be mezzed so it was a bit of a ride once we got into the well.

All in all, no real issues.

Sorry to say that as of this date, this quest is still buggy.
Quest will time out after 10 min sometimes, which happened to us on our 1st and 2nd attempt.
Finally got the steps done, got Timmi back to Alibee he said "Thanks again. I need to get going back home from here now. They must be worried sick about me at home" and despawned without giving us the last task update.

So here we sit with a completed task (mostly) and nothing to show for it.

    Also did this with:
    Rudin, 73 Warrior
    Toulin, 76 Cleric
    Blackroot, 76 Shaman
    and myself, 76 Ranger

    Welcome to the suck.

    These orcs summon:
[Sun Jul 15 14:12:36 2007] a Coldeye outcast says 'You will not evade me Rhagbuk!'

    Slowed:
[Sun Jul 15 14:12:38 2007] You begin casting Turgur's Insects.
[Sun Jul 15 14:12:41 2007] Your spell was mostly successful.
    [Sun Jul 15 14:12:41 2007] A Coldeye outcast yawns.

So answer is, No they can't be snared, Yes they can be slowed, Yes they can be feralized, Yes they summon. Is it worth it? I say no because by time you cast the pet and it attacks its acutal DPS is so low its not really worth it since you could hit 5 times better than it parses.

Yes You can recast this every 4 mins, Yes unlimited Charges, It's HP and DPS likes a level 34 Shaman pet. It's a swarm pet, meaning it don't take your pet slot.

Is it usable more than once or can it be used over and over to summon a companion every 4 minutes or so? What is the companions HP like, can he be used to tank mobs or he is a gimpy pet?

We are not raid geared, but we do places most non-raiders on our server will not attempt like Valdeholm and Frostcrypt, so I am not saying this is easy for an average group.

We tried it on two consecutive nights for a total of five tries before we got it right.

FIRST and FOREMOST, have a druid or ranger get the quest. That way everybody else can wait at the well, and return to the quest giver without having to fight wolves. If you fail, the druid or ranger can get the quest re-started in less than 10 minutes.

The SK and pally went in invised and targeted the orcs so they were clear on which one had what, then came back up top. The necro went in and grabbed them, pulled them out, then FDed. The clerics hit the tanks with promised renewal and an HOT just before the necro went in and spammed quick heals for the battle. All DPS was concentrated on the MA's mob, with the druid on DPS and back up for healing and evac if things went bad, or kiting one if things otherwise looked good but we lost one of the tanks.

The orcs cannot be mezzed, slowed or rooted. It may be possible to kite them, but keeping them off the healer is almost impossible because they put out so much damage the healers have to spam large heals. A 20k tank would make this easy, another example of SoE trying to drive non-raiders out of the game. Our 14.8k and 13.3K pally and SK tanked them with one cleric on each. The SK went down, but the necro and pally had theirs almost down. When the SK went down the orc he was fighting killed his cleric instantly, and ran for the second cleric who kited him until the first orc was down. The druid healed the pally while the cleric ran, once the cleric thought the pally had aggro, he stopped running and was promptly killed. The druid kept the pally up and we won.

I actually lose dps by casting this pet as a lvl 75 warrior. The pet swings a couple of times and fades away. I do more damage with one swing than the pet does the whole time its up.

Anyone tried this one with more than one group, in raid? Tried this one with a 75 Warr (not sure how many AAs though), and miscellaneous group, and we wiped. And is the reward for entire group? Or just the person who gets the mission?

Being a ranger, I'd love to have a pet spell/item.

    1) Get the task and spawn Lassie
    2) Hail Lassie
    3) Follow Lassie -- you cannot be invis, as Lassie will not be able to see you. Also -- Lassie will wait while you fight aggro (wolves are good XP anyway)
    4) Lassies stops at the top of the well.
    5) Need to pull and kill the 2 Orcs in the well. This is the hard part, as they are pretty tuff, but a talented puller can get them single. In fact -- you can add side help, like with the Seeker, so long as they don't KS you.
    6) Open the cage, Hail Timmi -- make sure everyone leaves the well first but the FD/puller.
    7) Timmi pops at the top of the well and 2 more Orcs pop at the bottom. Timmi will not move until the second 2 Orcs are dead.
    8) Kill the 2 Orcs.
    9) Hail Timmi and he will run off at good speed. Follow him back to the task giver.

Here's how it went the 2 times I tried it-- hailed quest npc and recieved quest, sent druid to follow the dog. Got to the well and got a task stage. Moved the rest of the group to the well and buffed up. Took my sk down the hole and agroed both, ran to the top and FDed till they were split enough for the ranger to no damage agro and kite one till SK could stand up and tank it. Killed the orc and got a task stage update then went down and killed the other orc, got a task stage complete. I went into the well and broke open timmis cage and hailed him, task stage complete. Two orcs spawned at the bottom and agroed so I FDed then climbed out of the hole and timmy responded to hails with help me, they trapped me down here etc, like he hadn't been freed yet. I attacked him, invised and walked him to the quest giver and FDed again and he just stood there for a while then despawned. I tried again only difference is this time I broke the cage after the first kill to ensure I wouldn't get respawns. After the second kill i went back in and hailed him. He acted normally and went back to his spawn point then thanked me and despawned with no task stage complete! There was another group standing at the quest giver so I don't know if they bugged my task or not. I /bugged 2X per box and petitioned by five boxes.

    quick easy how to

must have = 1 druid or 1 ranger

move group to the well, position behind it.

orc guardian cons red to lvl 71 (74/75)

    they hit for 1598 max

they beging to flurry every other swing once they are around 40% or less.

have ranger/druid get mission and hail the puppy. everyone waits at camp, ranger/druid follows.

you can not be invis to follow, or La'Saa will turn and path back to start because they can't see you.

hence tree hugger class is amible to the local mob wolves and driftwolves

    currently did it with

    1 Sham
    1 Ranger
    1 Pali
    1 Druid
    2 clerics

mobs were slowed and would flurry and drop 65% (6k to 8k damage with flurry) HP with each flurry. we had a cleric on each tank and no slows other then ranger epic 1.0 (which does not land in time of course)

when you get to well hail La'Saa again, then you have to drop down inside the well, pull both orcs.

the can not be rooted, or paci'd. well not that i know of, ranger and druid harmony did not work, nor did root from any above class.

no chanter to try to mez so we didn't try that yet.

    ** added **

mobs can be single pulled with monk

once pulled and killed have a FD class go down well, break cage timma is in, then run out and FD away from group. timma respawns ouside well next to La'Saa

haven't gotten past this point yet as when you hail timma 2 more Orcs respawn, same spots as the last ones, you do not have to kill them in quest tab window.

we wiped, monk FD, but when orcs went back down well timma would not leave spot, tried to say follow, tried to hail, would not respond in any way

also the stages go like this

follow La'Saa to timma 0/1 (completed when at well)
kill Orc Overseer gaurds 0/2(name not 100% correct on)
    Lead timma to alibee 0/1

from here i haven't gotten farther due to NPC (Timma) despawned after we freed him and would not leave when we tried to move out, did not respond to hails ether
    damn bugs

Did the first step with a monk instead of ranger or druid. The wolves are easy enough to kite in circles around la'see, and as long as you don't go too far from la'see it keeps moving. If you need to fd before reaching the well, la'see will pace forward and back telling you to hurry up occasionally - so you can take your time.

Not sure on the exact text but.

Step 1 Follow La'see to find Timmi
Step 2 Kill the 2 orcs guarding Timmi
Step 3 Free Timmi from his cage
Step 4 escort Timmi back home.

Step 1: You hail La'see and followhim along the bottom of the zone to a well in the lower right hand corner of the zone. Alot of wolves on the way and you can not inis or La'see will will not move. My Ranger was amiable to the wolves so was druid in group. We just had rest of group at well already and only Ranger walked La'see to well.He will stop at the well and you need to go down inside. Invis up as the 2 orcs at the bottom do NOT see invis.

Step 2: Kill the 2 Orcs, every time I did it or saw it done was always 1 Lvl75 Orc and 1 lvl76.
Max hit on my Ranger was 1500 and not too often. They do Summon. Warrior tanked 1 Ranger tanked other. Both slowed with BoD no resists.

Step 3: Once you kill the 2 orcs just break open the cage, and Hail Timmi. He then pops up top outside the well.

Step 4: Hail Timmi and follow him back to Alibee (through all the wolves again, with just Ranger) and that is it.

Very fast mission but is a lil buggy. What had happened to us was after we killed the 2 orcs 1st time, someone started a new La'see quest it seems and Orcs repoped and then repoped again so 4 orcs (killed to Uninvised people still at bottom of well) and Timmi kept saying he needed to be freed from his cage. But at least it is very fast mission.

And yes the reward is a rather usless pet clicky ( But it is FUN! )
    Fast mission..
    # Sep 23 2006 at 2:06 PM Rating: Decent
Orcs can be warder pulled - warder won't survive but the orcs will pop up top. Just send an eye in a assist.

The multiple La'Sees is a pain. One time we had 6 orcs on us - wipe to say the least. We tried to kill the extra La'Sees but the multiple orcs still spawned.

It never occured to us to con the wolves and have a druid follow La'See through. Will have to do that next time.

The first time we went through, with no clue what was happening, Hunter, a rec con, popped on the other side of the well and proceeded to dot us all while we tried to fight our way back.

    follow la'see
    kill the 2 orcs
    free timmi form the cage
escort timmi and la'see back to alibee

orcs summon immune to run speed change ramp and hit for 2k or so. druids and ranger are non kos to the wolves so have one of them follow la'see while grp invises and follow. same tactic on the way back.

we had 3 rangers all 2700+ ac and 15k hps buffed a sham clr and one other dps dont remember what. rangers tanked and killed fast then got our whistles.
