Contrary to most of the post on here... the black silk cape is not a guaranteed drop.

Ankyloss of Hand of Chaos on the Cazic-Thule Server got the Cape from the KoS. It only took us two tries! Way to go Anky!

I got my black silk cape from the keeper of souls just a few days ago on Innoruuk. A few weeks before, our guild went and another necromancer got the cape. Its quite clear that the drop rate has been drastically improved with the patch, so the cape should be one of those drops that the keeper of souls is expected to drop. I would be interested to hear of a time when it was killed past april that the cape did not drop.

Took me 4 tries to get the cloak after the uped drop rate, and on the 4th try he droped 2 of them for the raid. It isn't a guaranted drop, but the rate has been increased alot.

Our guild went air this weekend, we killed the Keeeper of Souls 2 times (90 min spawn time), we got 2 capes:)

They have increased the drop rate of the black silk cape in the last patch, so out epic is that much closer now =)

I hear the black silk cape is about 1 in 30 drop rate or so, but that might not be accurate. Some people go for months without getting the cloak and going to sky every weekend, so it's extremely rare. I know that on bristlebane, only 3 have dropped (I happen to be the lucky owner of 1) I suggest doing the rest of the epic first, then focusing on this

Yeah you can try, except for the fact that the Keeper of Souls is level 60 with death touches, and he rarely, rarely drops the cloak. its the bottleneck of the quest, Nazghul on Tunare has been camping it, killed him 14 times and no cloak. so...i would recommend getting everything else you need i.e. manisi herb from chardok herbalist, eye of inoruuk, and slime blood of cazic thule.

Spiroc feather drops off ilse 4, seen em drop on both gorgalask's, and spiritd harpies, again somewhat common,
Black silk cape drops on ilse 5 rare drop of the keeper of souls, island boss. lvl 60.. dt's every 30 seconds.. annoying to do.. can be killed with around 18 people tho :)

Keeper of Souls is the boss of I4. Gorgs are on I3 and azeracks on I2. Spiroc Lord is the boss of 5.

Anyone that has an idea of time needed to recieve the cloak from Keeper of souls plz gimme some feedback. I am close to my epic all i need is that cloak and im pretty much done.
