Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs may be found in the newbie area at +600, +135.

You say, 'Hail, Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs'

Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Are you interested in taking a [test] of your Tradeskill Ability?'

You say, 'What test?'

Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'I can give you a test of your tradeskill abilities in any of eleven different tradeskills. I can test you on [alchemy], [baking], [brewing], [fletching], [jewelry] making, [poison] making, [pottery], [smithing], spell [research], [tailoring], or [tinkering].'

You say, 'Jewelry.'

She will assign you a task dependent on your skill. The levels appear to be Beginner (50-99), Apprentice (100-149), Freshman (150-199), Journeyman (200-249), Expert (250-299), Master (300).

You have been assigned the task 'Master Jeweler Test'.

Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Ok take this list, make the recipes on it, and give them to the Judge for Approval. Be sure to read all of the rules.'

Rules:
Make all of the items on this list.
You may make them in any order you wish.
You may have friends help you with any part but the last step which creates the actual part on the list. This you must do yourself.
You may make the items in any order and turn them in to the Judge in any order that you wish.
The Judge will keep all items that she is given to defray the costs of the contest.
The Judge's decision is final.
If you already have an old Trophy that you have made, show it to the Coordinator and she will mark it as already completed. You will still have to submit the old trophy to the judge.

All items must be made with non-enchanted materials. Upon handing the last one into Judge Marion Teld'Mare you get:

Congratulations. You have passed the test. Please give this scorecard to the coordinator. Be sure you have two places available in your inventory because she will give you either one or two items as your prize.

You have been given: Master Jeweler Scorecard

Give the scorecard to Baublie.

Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs says 'Congratulations! That was great work. Here is your trophy. This trophy is brand new and has yet to evolve. First take your trophy into your left or right hand, then take the certificate that I am also giving you and put it in the appropriate tradeskill container and your trophy will evolve to the proper level for the test you have taken.'

You receive the Beginner Jeweler Trophy and a Master Jeweler Certificate. Equip the trophy, then combine the certificate by itself in a jeweler's kit and your trophy will evolve to a Master Jeweler Trophy.

The trophies are evolving items that also evolve as you craft recipes within a certain non-trivial range (reportedly 100) above your current skill level. Once you pass into the next skill level bracket, the trophy should evolve soon afterward. The trophies can also summon weight-reducing bags like the older trophies. When you take these bags to Jolum in the Bazaar, you get an Essence, and can combine the Essence in a jeweler's kit to get a permanent weight-reducing bag specific to jewelcraft.

This part

"The trophies are evolving items that also evolve as you craft recipes within a certain non-trivial range (reportedly 100) above your current skill level."

is incorrect. I leveled my trophy from 6 all the way to 7 doing combines that were anywhere from 4 to 20 above my trivial range. So it seems like it can be any non-trivial combine.

I think you misunderstood (I know this post is really old, but adding clarity in case anyone else comes by).

Your trophy will evolve using recipes that are within 100 points of your current skill UNTIL you get to 250 - then anything that is over 350 is just rounded down to 350 for consideration. If your skill is at 100 and you're using recipes >250 to skill up, your trophy will not evolve with your skill ups until you get your base skill within 100 points of the trivial of the recipe you're using to skill up.

Each successful combine awards points to the evolution of the trophy - if you're doing a higher level combine, you'll get more points towards evolution than if you're doing a lower level combine. For example: If you're at 6/7 trying to max to 7/7 - you must do combines with a trivial >300. You'll have more successes if you're doing a recipe with a trivial of 301, but fewer points going towards evolution than if you're using a recipe with a trivial of 349. You may succeed less with the 349 trivial recipe, but each combine counts more "points" towards your evolution.

When you're up to evolving a trophy to the final 7/7 status, I do hope you have all the salvage and Tradeskill AAs for levels 1 - 3 done at least so your failure rate is reduced by 50%.

Do not get make and turn in a gold shimmering earring ,, instead make a marquise mount palladium ring , that is what u are supposed to make. Use a scale or and gnomish heat source and combine. then combine that result with a marquise cut ring mold from the jeweler in PoT.

Having problems with the Task updating on making a Gold Shimmering Earring. Have made it 3 times now with no update to it. Also just tried to turn into judge to see if it would update both and she just hands it back saying, "I have no need for this."

Anyone else experiencing this problem??

I would guess (but someone please confirm) that it's looking for the version with stats that's made with an Enchanted Gold Bar instead of the statless version made with a regular Gold Bar.

old trophy

For any parts of this that require you to make the old trophy ( expert did ), instead of destroying your old and making a new, you can give the quest giver your old trophy and it'll update

If you didn't make the trophy since you started task, you need to give it first to the Baublie not the judge. The judge wont accept it till you have credit for having made it. You get credit for having made it by either making it once the task starts or by handing it to the Baublie (she gives it right back).

But you probably don't want to give it to the judge until after you've completed all the combines. That way you can use the 5% bonus for them.

She accepted mine ok on the 27th Feb and it was even augmented. You need to give the trophy to Baublie Diggs first to get the quest update to say you made it.

This is correct. Give the old trophy to Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs (the tradeskill quest halfling lass) and she'll then tell you to give it to the Judge. The Judge then accepts it. Thank heavens, I thought I was going to have to make a new trophy as well after the Judge wouldn't accept it the first time (before letting Baublie inspect it).

Are you sure it's the Expert Jeweler Certificate on the Master Jeweler Test?
