"an old shiliskin fortune teller" may be found at +1330, -700, -11.

an old shiliskin fortune teller regards you indifferently -- it appears to be quite formidable.

You say, 'Hail, an old shiliskin fortune teller'

The shiliskin stands motionless as though lost in thought. Finally, he speaks, 'Strange things I have seen in these pools, surface dweller. The future, the past, images of warfare. . . it all swirls together here in these [waters].'

You say, 'Waters?'

an old shiliskin fortune teller says 'These waters mark the gravesite of Den Lord Rakban, a werewolf demigod that was Wuria's mate. Wuria blessed her companion with unnatural strength so he could lead the werewolves against the shilsikin long before our empire was formed. After decades of bloodshed, my ancestors lured Rakban into this blind canyon where we now stand. Our korlach priests summoned a tidal wave and drowned Rakban and his warriors forever. There are however, [things] in this world that no amount of water can wash away.'

You say, 'What things?'

an old shiliskin fortune teller says 'The spirit of Den Lord Rakban lingers still. He waits for a worthy warrior so that he may manifest his power once again. Before anyone can confront the spirit, they must first [master the dangers] of Darkhollow. Only then will Rakban return from the spirit world.'

You say, 'I will master the dangers.'

an old shiliskin fortune teller says 'You think you are ready? Very well, return to me when you have completed a great feat in each of the main caverns of Darkhollow. Only then can I stir the waters to summon the spirit.'

You have been assigned the task 'The Depths of Darkhollow'.

To invoke the spirit of the werewolf Demigod Rakban, you must complete a dangerous feat in each of the main caverns of Darkhollow. Only then will the spirit manifest for you. Venture out and complete these dangerous feats. Return to the shillskin Fortune Teller when you are successful with each one and he will attempt to call the spirit of Den Lord Rakban.

This is a five-part task, where you must complete each of five quest lines and come back and finish this afterward. You can start this task before or after you've finished the five quest lines.

Find Fibblebrap in the Creep of Corathus 0/1 (Corathus Creep)

Bellfast in Corathus Creep is the task-giver, once you have high amiable faction with Expedition 328.

Complete the five "Find Fibblebrap" tasks in order.

The reward is a +50 to fire (Aura of Burning Arcanum) instant click item: Fractured Werewolf Jawbone

Learn the fate of Elder Longshadow in Undershore 0/1 (Undershore)

Shadowalker Dustspirit in Stoneroot Falls is the task-giver.

Complete the five "Elder Longshadow" tasks in order. After you've done so:

You say, 'Hail, an old shiliskin fortune teller'

Your task 'The Depths of Darkhollow' has been updated.

A chorus of wolf howls echo strangely off the cavern walls. When you look towards the direction of the last echo, you see a small wolf skull fragment resting on a nearby ledge. The shiliskin fortune teller speaks. 'Rakban's spirit knows of your assistance to the Ragepaw werewolves in Undershore. The demigod's spirit is pleased and has rewarded you with power.'

The reward is a +50 to cold (Aura of Freezing Arcanum) instant click item: Fractured Temporal Plate

Survive the Korlach Leviathan Below Stoneroot Falls 0/1 (Stoneroot Falls)

Widdlethorpe Gemfinder in Stoneroot Falls is the task-giver.

Complete the five "Korlach" tasks in order.

The reward is a +50 to magic (Aura of Chromatic Arcanum) instant click item. Fractured Frontal Plate

Fulfill Jarzarrad's Prophecy in The Ruins of Illsalin (0/1) - Ruins of Illsalin

Jarzarrad the Prophet in Undershore is the task giver.

Complete the five "DoD Level 70 Spell" tasks in order. After you have completed the tasks:

You say, 'Hail, an old shiliskin fortune teller'

Your task 'The Depths of Darkhollow' has been updated.

An uneasy sensation clouds your mind, as though you suspect you are being watched or hunted. Suddenly watchful, you discover a shard of a wolf skull that has drifted ashore near your feet. The shiliskin fortune teller nods at the shard. 'Take it,' he says. 'The demigod Rakban knows your fulfillment of Jarzarrad's prophecy and has chosen to reward you with a fragment of power.'

The reward is a +50 to poison (Aura of Venomous Arcanum) instant click item: Fractured Bone Ridges

Rescue the Ecologist of Expedition 328 from The Hive (0/1) - The Hive

Brovil Pallivineg in Corathus Creep is the task giver.

Complete the five "DoD Level 69 Spell" tasks in order. After you have completed the tasks:

You say, 'Hail, an old shiliskin fortune teller'

Your task 'The Depths of Darkhollow' has been updated.

A flicking movement in the water catches your eye. You think you see a reflection of a giant wolf watching you from the pool's edge, but the image vanishes as soon as your eyes settle on it. In its place is a bone fragment about the size of dagger. 'Take it,' the shiliskin fortune teller says. 'Rakban's spirit wants you to have it.'

The reward is a +50 to disease (Aura of Blight Arcanum) instant click item: Fractured Werewolf Incisors

(opt) Wrap all werewolf skull fragments in the funeral shroud of den lord Rakban (0/1) - ALL

Completion of each quest line gives you an insta-click resist item that adds 50 to the associated resist. They are part of a werewolf head, and are to be combined in the container provided (Funeral Shroud of Den Lord Rakban) when all the tasks are complete to create "Ancient Werewolf Skull".

You have fashioned the items together to create something new: Ancient Werewolf Skull.

The final reward is a +50 to all resists (Aura of Pure Arcanum) instant click mask, the Ancient Werewolf Skull, which evolves into The Skull of Den Lord Rakban.

If you have your lvl 69 and 70 spells/disciplines, hail the fortune teller after receiving this task and you'll get rewards 4 and 5 respectively. You may have to hail more than once to get all the rewards that you are entitled to.

For those who are a /loc challenged you can find the fortune teller in the very northeast part of the zone in a little alcove area north of the Mindflayer fort.

69 and 70 DoD spells are researchable

Just wondering, now that the 69 and 70 spells are researchable... Will the fortune teller give you credit for completing those arcs if you have acquired the spells via research and already have them in your spellbook.

Note I do not have the spells in my spellbook so cannot test this myself.

No, the quest npc is tracking character flags you get for completing each mission in the spell arcs. It does not matter whether or not you have the spells or whether your class even gets a spell for a particular mission arc, you still have to do all the missions.

I have also completed all five missions of the Fibblebrap and "the shiliskin fortune teller" just spams back at me "Why do you linger here? You have hardly begun to understand the true potential of the Fibblebrap gem fragments! Run now, you fool! Before Rakban's spirit awakens and destroys us both!"

Bugged? Or do you need high Expedition 328 faction not only to get missions but to finish quest??

I have been stuck in the same position. Apparently the Fribblebrap missions only count if they were all done at the level 70 instance. If you shrouded down to make the mission easier that will not get you your DoDH mask.

I haven't yet confirmed this yet, but will let you know what I find out. It is possible this was recently changed if people got the mask before with the lower versions of the Fribblebrap task.

Your assumption is correct - you get credited for at least Bellfast #1 only if you get it done at the level 70 instance. I do not know about the other Bellfast mission but following the same logic, shrouding will not get them credited.

Last week I did Bellfast #1 triggering it by shrouding all my group to level 55 (was my last mission of the serie). Got the same message as reported above (when talking to the Undershore NPC) and petitioned. Reply was to redo this mission at the top tier level (defined as group of 70's) because it was not credited. So, I redid it today with one lvl 68 and five lvl 75. It worked and got credited for the Bellfast serie.

I'm having the same problem. I did shroud down to 50. I would like to point out though that I didn't do Shadowwalker Dustspirit arc at "top tier" and I still got the clicky. For Shadowwalker Dustspirit I shrouded down so the group average was 65. I did however do #4 with the 70 average so I can get a dodge 3 aug. I really don't mind going thru these missions, I'll go thru belfast with an average of 65 and see how it goes.

Verified that this is indeed bugged. Got the quest on my beastlord (who already has the mask) and then hailed. Got all the other clickies until I got up to the friblefrab step. Received the same text as noted above. Haven't done mission 5 of that line though, so it's possible that all 5 missions are now required.

edit: it seems that you now need to do all 5 of the fibblebrap missions now. went back and completed #5 and afterwards was able to update the fibblebrap step of The Depths of Darkhollow quest.

I've completed all five missions of the Fibblebrap arc and the fortune teller keeps telling me: "Why do you linger here? You have hardly begun to understand the true potential of the Fibblebrap gem fragments! Run now, you fool! Before Rakban's spirit awakens and destroys us both!"

Any ideas on why this is happening to both myself and those in my group? We have beaten all four required missions and even the fifth just in case.

Get rid of the mission again and then get it once more. After that hail one more time and you should get it back.

From above:
Completion of each quest line gives you an insta-click resist item that adds 50 to the associated resist. They are part of a werewolf head, and are to be combined in the container provided (Funeral Shroud of Den Lord Rakban) (to craft what?) when all the tasks are complete.

They combine into the first mask (ancient werewolf skull).

The fortune teller will give you the base task at level 60 and in theory you could have the mask at 60, but you would have to do all the missions with nobody higher then level 70, due to the 10 level max difference. I completed this last night with my level 65 alt. Most missions I would play my main and switch at the end for credit, but a few don't give you that opportunity so I called in strong help.

Prior to TSS we tried to add people in that were below 60 and got a message to the effect that the player was outside our level range.
I suppose it's possible that they extended the level range for DoD missions when the level cap was raised with TSS. It may also be a simple minimum level.

Ok.. I'm feeling a little retarded here. I've been working on the solo tasks given by Bellfast to see if it will allow me to do the group missions afterwards(I only need the Bellfast missions to complete the Depths of Darkhollow task). I haven't completed the solo task yet, but can anyone confirm that I even need to? Is Bellfast's set of solo tasks even related to his group tasks at all?

The solo tasks will help you with Bellfast's faction (Expedition 328), but they are not the Fibblebrap ones .. you have to work the Expedition 328 faction to a high-amiable to get the Fibble missions. Killing Creep Reapers and working your slipgear quest are the only ways to increase that faction.
Curious..
# Jul 31 2006 at 5:17 AM Rating: Decent
Was actually wondering if it was at all possible to get this mask before level 70 if you are able to get the spell arcs done...I know personally, I dont plan to level past 60 on my ranger for a good while (about 386 AA's worth + 30 to bank) so was wondering if it would even be worth the effort to grab up a couple friends to get all the tasks done real quick and get the item and lvl it up...being that I see no level requirement on it.

After you have completed all the missions needed you can get the mask as many times as you feel like even though there is no real reason to. After getting my mask to level 2 I went and got another level 1 mask just to be able to link to people who wanted to know how it starts.

I would think that because of this all 3 masks should be no trade on Fironia to prevent people from finishing the missions and passing masks out to everyone they knew along with all their alts.

Anyone able to confirm either way?

MOST quest items that involve looting mission type stuff is indeed NODROP on FV.

Examples include the above mask(s), the halloween mask, Cloak of the spirit hunter, Vex Thal key, Black Orb of the Scrykin and of cource all epics.
Things that are indeed tradable are .. oow, god, por, pop and time armor tasks, and loot. the New TSS armor also is tradable. In all about 95% of Weapons/armor/aug's on the server are tradable.

Pop over one day and have a look at FV.. don't judge from a distance. Like all servers,, we have lowlifes.. but we have a lot more highlifes )

yes you can go back to the fortune teller and get all the individual clickies back, BUT they dont stack with the mask. they are still good to have for duels for the instant clicky from inventory, so i keep all my indidvidual ones to.

everyone in group gets credit for the task not just the person who got it.

If I combine to get the mask, can I go back to the fortune teller and hail him 5 times to get the individual clickies back? So I can have the mask + 5x clickie resists?

Please only answer if you've tried this before.

to complete this quest:

1: finish all the level 69 spell tasks givin in corathus creep (4 total tasks)

2: finish all the level 70 spell tasks givin in undershore (5 total tasks)

3: finish all the tasks given by shadowalker dustspirit in stoneroot falls (5 total tasks)

4: finish all the tasks given by bellfast in corathus creep (4 maybe 5 tasks, plus you need high amaible faction to get these tasks, just kill creep reapers.)

5: finish all the tasks given by widdlethorpe gemfinder in stoneroot falls (4 tasks, gives 5 but to complete the mask number 5 is not required to be done.)

hope this helps, just look on alla and find these quest npc's and finish it.

some parts can be soloed but take a while and can be difficult.

Seen some questions here and have been doing these and been bombarded with questions so thought I would explain this better.

This quest consists of completing 5 mission arcs. Each arc has a varieing set of missions, i.e. the 69 spell set is one arc in this quest which has 4 missions and the 70 is another with 5 missions.

Upon completion of each mission arc you hail the fortune teller and he will hand you a clicky fragment.

When you have completed all arcs he will give you the funeral shroud which you can then use to combined all the clickies in to get the mask.

Is this soloable? NO. Each mission inside of each arc requires a minimum of 3 members and most you are not going to be able to finish without 6.

Can it be soloed ?
# Dec 24 2005 at 11:21 AM Rating: Default
The quest can be soloed ? or single grouped easely ?
RE: Can it be soloed ?
# Dec 24 2005 at 4:31 PM Rating: Default
Not sure it's soloable but as far as I've understood it it's designed around 1 group content so at least you won't be needing a raid to finish the mask.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 17 2005 at 11:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i did mission one before getting the task, and its not recognising that we won it:( do i have to do it again?
Better splain this one better
# Dec 02 2005 at 1:14 AM Rating: Decent
Let me try to understand this cause its not really splained clearly here.

You first go to the Fortune teller to get the DoD task assigned then you go to each of the NPC's and do each of the NPC's listed individual task's and then after you do the NPC's task's you come back to the fortune teller for the fortune tellers task update ?

Which makes this task really a task to complete 5 other somewhat lengthy task's ?

Little grey area there, thanks.

Yes, yes, and yes.

You can get the fortune teller task before or after completing the other missions.

His quest - The Depths of Darkhollow - is essentially "Finish quest lines for 5 other NPC's".
