Feathered Shores (Sixth Trial)

This task begins in the Plane of Knowledge with V`Lynn Renloe (good side armor quest giver at location 779, 454, -159).
Target V`Lynn Renloe and say "trials" to bring up the list of available tasks. Select the "Feathered Shores" task. Task text: Your next trial takes you to Lake Rathetear, formed legends say, from the tears of the Rathe as they were marched to their doom. Now guarded closely by Aviaks, the lake has become a temporary home to others traveling on the plains of Karana. Always cautious of outsiders, the Aviaks will begrudgingly allow you passage as long as you do not disturb them. Near the passage to the Karana plains lies a gnoll camp...a camp they hope to expand and eventually increase their influence over the region with. Your first task is to reduce this peril by killing at least five of them. Attack during the daylight though, for not even the gnolls dare to be present when night comes. Just southeast of this camp is an island with a small mage tower. Centered upon a nexus where the veil seperating the dimensions is especially worn, an ancient mage long ago would summon twisted beings to do his bidding. Now though, a friendly Erudite couple has taken up residence on its ground floor. Go to the top of this tower to see if the dimensional barriers have been breached once more. Deep within the lake's placid body lies vicious aqua goblins. At home underwater as much as you or I am on land, these goblins are no less vile than the others you are familiar with. Yet they have a tendency to carry certain pebbles I am in need of. Find and bring me back two of these lake pebbles. These goblins are known to also prowl the lake's south eastern shore. Lastly, I need you to find a former student of mine. I have heard that he sought the refuge of the lake to meditate upon his transgressions. Seek him out to see if he is ready to forgive himself and return to me. But do not press him, for if he is not ready to return, then leave him be. Objective #1: Kill 5 Gnolls Objective #2: Explore Mage Tower Objective #3: Loot 2 Lake Pebble from Aqua Goblins Objective #4: Speak with Fallen Student Kill five gnolls at the camp near entrance from South Karana. Note that gnoll high shaman and gnoll embalmers spawn at night and are much more dangerous than the regular gnolls. The mage tower is on the north eastern island, the one closest to the Rathe Mountains zone at +2615, -565. Evil races and classes may have problems with the Erudite couple in the building so be sure to /con them before entering the building. Aqua goblins roam just off the shoreline in the south east corner of the zone. They can be easily pulled up on to dry land for fights. Kill them until you have two Lake Pebbles. The fallen student stands on a rock halfway between the barbarian village and the Aviak lookout towers along the southern portion of the west wall of the zone at pos 1325 pos 2060. Hail him. Objective #5: Deliver 1 Lake Pebble to V'Lynn Renloe Hand V'Lynn a Lake Pebble. Thank you for performing all that I asked of you. Though saddened that Buran has not yet forgiven himself, I am glad to know that he is working on his tribulations. Take this note to your Guildmaster who shall see that you receive your reward. Tarry not, for other [trials] may await you. You receive "Note About Your Sixth Trial" and are automatically assigned a new task to deliver the note to the guildmaster for your race and class.
