I'm a druid.. so what I did was bind in Stoneroot at the instance there which is by the coral. I'd open a coral or 2, evac, then loot and gate back. No fighting necessary heheh

You say, 'Yes, I am looking for work' Slave Trader Arad says 'Excellent! Here are the jobs I need done.' You have been assigned the task 'The Coral Bogs.' You must travel to the Coral Bog right before the spider area in Stoneroot. Here, there are several corals (what are their names and /locs?) which must be /opened. You will have to clear some Witherans out of the way in order to do this. Loot four Brittle Nargilor Cores, and then four Glowing Nargilor Cores. Bring these to Arad. 'Excellent specimens!" the shiliskin says. "The Empire will pay a great deal for these nargilor core sheaths. Here is your promised reward." Your faction standing with Free Traders of Malgrinnor got better. Your faction standing with Scions of Dreadspire got worse. Your faction standing with Agents of Dreadspire got worse. The location is marked (approximately) on the map map available at Mapfiend. The eastern shore of the coral bog is safe to work at loc -398, -1739. There are three types of coral formations you can /open:

Coral Fan
Coral Fin
Openening any of them will spawn a nested witheran - blue con to a lvl 66. If you are a caster you may want to bring backup - they hit rapidly for up to ~480. It does not matter which type of coral you open, you will get the pieces you need in order. The pieces do NOT stack. (Interestingly, you only have to hit them once or twice - you seem to get free melee damage for the task as I hit one of them for 4179. No proc message just straight melee.)
Hard to say what the faction adjustment with the Free Traders is - I was dubious when I started and still dubious when I finished.

the name of the coral you open is called "coral fin" and "coral sail"
Also, when you open them, there will be "a nesting witheran" inside. sees invis, lvl 62ish.

Has anyone done this quest? Is the experience worthwile?
I did the quest. It can be done in 10 to 15 minutes (Bard) however there was no visible movement on my AA xp bar. I assume these are mainly for faction.
