Nitalla is a fae at the very first tree, at 1780, -1173.

You say, 'Hail, Nitalla'

Nitalla says 'Greetings _____. From the looks of you, you've seen a bit of trouble in the past. You seem to have come out of it alright though. Perhaps you'd be willing to [listen] to a short tale and then consider helping us save the forest?'

You say, 'I'm willing to listen'

Nitalla says 'As you may know there is a cursed unicorn in this forest known as Equestrielle. For quite a while we have simply regarded her as a lost soul and a pest at worst. But lately it seems she has found a way to spread her corruption amongst the [denizens] of the forest.'

You say, 'Which denizens?'

Nitalla says 'We are most concerned about our friends the brownies. The majority of them seem to have fallen victim to Equestrielle's corruption and they have become violent when approached by anyone. The corruption has spread amongst the rest of the forest as well, causing normally passive creatures to become aggressive and unthinking. There is [hope] though.'

You say, 'What hope?'

Nitalla says 'We have discovered a way of freeing creatures from this corruption, but there are two difficulties with it. The first is we are not able to both cast the spell needed and defend ourselves from the attacks of the corrupted creatures. This would not be much of an issue if it were not for the [second] difficulty.'

You say, 'What is the second difficulty?'

Nitalla says 'We would just ask adventurers such as yourself to help us free the creatures of their corruption, but only those of fay blood are able to manage the spells correctly. I think I may have a solution to the problem if you would be willing to lend us your [assistance].'

You say, 'I will lend you my assistance.'

Nitalla says 'If you would be [willing] to be transformed into a brownie for a short while you should be able to use our magic. With your adventuring expertise you should be able to help us end this corruption in short order.'

You say, 'I am willing.'

Nitalla says 'This is perfect. Please go see Telara near the brownie village west of here. She will help you with the transformation and teach you what you will need to know regarding the magic.'

You have been assigned the task 'Brownies of Doom'.

A hidden corruption has spread amongst the denziens of the Faydark forest. You must allow yourself to be transformed into a Brownie to uncover this evil.

Speak to Telara who resides in the western edge of the forest. She will instruct you further.

Time to choose monster templates. There are three choices: a Brownie druid, ranger, or mage. You get three spells, some AA points to spend for your chosen class, and one person gets a Fayblood Wand. The wand procs Eternal Lull on the brownie at 30% and it removes their corrupt status.

Brownie druids get a heal, slow and root.
Brownie mages get two nukes and a DoT.
Brownie rangers get a weapon.

Speak to Telara near the brownie village 0/1 (Lesser Faydark)

Telara may be found at +1940, +2955.

You say, 'Hail, Telara'

Telara says 'Oh! You must have been sent by Nitalla. I do hope you are able to handle the corrupt brownies, none of the fairies have been able to have any effect on them yet. Yet the power of this wand I have should let you free the brownies. But only brownies can wield it. I can, however, temporarily change you into brownies so that you may wield it. Let me help you with the enchantment and then I can give you this wand. Let me know when you are [prepared].'

You say, 'We are prepared.'

Telara tosses some fairy dust in the air. 'Hold on, this may tickle a little.'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Lesser Faydark: Brownies of Doom.

After Telara has turned you into a Brownie, speak to her again to get the wand 0/1 (Lesser Faydark)

Telara is located at the zone-in of the instance.

You say, 'Hail, Telara'

Telera giggles. 'There! So much better. Tee hee! Now that you are brownies, I can give you this wand that only brownies and their kin may wield. You must use it to free the corrupted brownies. But the magic contained within is not strong enough on its own so you first must weaken them for it to work. Be careful though, for the magic of the wand is limited and will surely run out if you use it too much. Oh. . .and if you wish to return to your normal self. . .just let me know that you wish to [leave].

Rescue 15 corrupted brownies 0/15 (Lesser Faydark)

Search through the forest to find the corrupted brownies and use the power of the wand to free them. You must be sure to weaken them near death, or the magic will have no effect.

All brownies in this zone are corrupt and are very aggressive. It's probably a good idea to pull them to the wall to fight. They also spawn in the same spot, so mark the spots on your map and go back and forth between them.

Upon freeing a brownie:

a corrupted brownie says 'Thank you so much! Please help free the others.'

Slay Equestrielle the Corrupted 0/1 (Lesser Faydark)

Equestrielle is the cause of this. Hunt her down to stop the corruption from spreading further. Return to Telara and ask to leave once you are victorious and she shall help you return to your normal form.

Equestrielle roams the entire zone. Find her and attack...

Equestrielle the Corrupted says 'You shall die this day, foolish whelp, but it is not unto me that you will give you life, but to Firiona Vie's failure you shall perish!'

Equestrielle the Corrupted has been slain by _____!

Equestrielle the Corrupted was a trivial challenge for your party!

Equestrielle the Corrupted's corpse says 'A single battle you have won, but so quick to think that this will be the end? I, like Fear, am eternal, and in your dreams, I shall forever haunt.'

Tell Telara you wish to leave and then speak with Nitalla 0/1 (Lesser Faydark)

You say, 'We wish to leave.'

Telara says 'Very well brave adventurer. Stand still for a moment while I cast the necessary spell.'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered The Lesser Faydark.

Return to Nitalla:

You say, 'Hail, Nitalla'

Your task 'Brownies of Doom' has been updated.

You gain experience!! (9% AAXP at level 70)

This is not a solo MM .. it does require a group, I don't know how many for minimum
waste of time and effort

5 guild members and I did this mission this evening and it was way too difficult to complete for the reward. We camped the outskirts of the fairy village from the West wall. We had 2 druids and 4 rangers and made short order of the brownies, with only a few deaths due to an add on a few pulls. Equistrelle was almost impossible to pull and we spent alot of time tracking her near the SF zoneline..we set up camp and tried to nab her while close to Steamfront..as we tried a few times just taking the whole group to her and died due to all the adds. Finally with 1 hour left we cornered her by the shadowmen and took her down. I being the only dru/bst/monk for the gloves got the reward. This mission gave me 104% AA exp at level 70, and about 5% to a level 68 Cleric in regular exp, oh and our 56 ENC got stiffed for exp altogether. Based on the Highpass mission exp, we could have gotten 10 AA's in the 5 hours it took to complete this mission. The gloves are nice, but not worth the 5 hours it took our group to complete the mission.
Tricky, but doable

Completed this tonight. Not a very popular MM, due to the skill and patience required.

Once we figured out the process, it wasn't all that difficult.

You establish your camp due east from the faerie ring. All around it, corrupted brownies spawn. You can wait until they are far enough apart, and grab them up. If you bring multiples, let the puller die with no assistance, then grab the one that stays behind. You can stay in that one spot and drag them from the village. As well, they respawn, so some of the ones you pulled initially may become some of your regular customers for freedom. To free them, you must wait to cast the wand on them until they are roughly 30 pct. Just below, actually, because there were times we could not cast it on them at 30 pct.

Equestrielle isn't all that bad. Can be pulled back to the same camp spot. Hits hard, roughly 238, hard to keep up with the heals until slowed. Wasn't very resistant to the nukes from the mages.

Hope that helps

did this tonight with a guild group ~ we used 4 rangers, one druid, and one mage

after we killed all the roamers we could find, began to pull from the fort that was right near zone in

to pull from this fort, we had one ranger pull a mob, he would die as about 4 or 5 brownies came after him. luckily, after his death, they would peel off and return to their spawn point eventually leaving one brownie alone, who was then tagged by a second ranger

we would all gang up on the brownies, eventually killing all 15 we needed

then we pulled the horse back to the spawn point, the key is to keep him snared using hamstring - kiting if necessary due to low on health

we killed him, i got the bst gloves thank god my dice were kind, and got 2 aa's for the whole ordeal, i think it took bout 2 and a half maybe 3 hours, but we weren't sure how to pull at first so wasted alot of time

hope this helps

Nitalla is at 1774.33, =1177.75, -3.15 -- directly out from the zone in from GF. You can see her as you enter the zone.

Updated Kill Quota

Tried this one today with 4 of us <I boxed 2 toons so we had 5 toons total> and the kill total has been reduced to 15 but everything else seems to be the same. Adds are a pain and trying to pull anything from the brownie compound isn't really worth it as you get 4 or more most times.

We found a couple brownies that spawned by the fairie ring just south along the zone wall from the brownie compound and had some success with those. It's still a long haul and this MM isn't worth doing for the AA imo as there are much faster ones for that but if the ring is an upgrade for someone it may be worth the 2-3 hours it still takes to finish.

I didn't play a ranger but I do know they get Snare anyways <not sure what else>.

Hope this helps,
This is NOT a raid mission.

We did this with a single group. I would suggest having 5 rangers/dps and one druid/healer.

Main attack plan was to get a single pull of a corrupted brownie and have all the dps concentrate on it. We tried having one ranger pull to camp but the brownies will root, so it is better if the pull is a short distance. Have your group follow a short distance from the puller. Once the corrupted is under 30% HP you target and click the wand. Corrupted brownie then changes to a brownie. If he is at or above 30% HP he will resist it.

We kept to the West zone wall and pulled from the outskirts of the Fairy village for the most part. If your puller gets more than one, best to just die and not aggro the group. Adds are deadly. We managed to handle one add a few times but any more you might as well just wipe and re-group.

For Equestrielle, we tracked and pulled it to the spawn point. You might need to do chain-pull since Equestrielle tends to kill you very fast. Have next puller lined up. Try not to get any adds! Takes a while to get a handle on Equestrielle if all your group is dead and re-zoning but once we had everyone back and beating on him, we wore him down.

Dropped nice Druid/Monk/Beastlord only gloves.

We did this the second day of DoD... It's kinda fun but takes along time I'd recommend a full 18 players for it. It didn't give much xp and only 1 item was droped after getting the brownies you have to kill estrella. Then you loot estrellia and I recived a ring. When complete you say leave to Nitalla

Best to camp on the wall near the brownie camp on map. (never got wanderers there) The spiders Quad attack and will kill a caster fast. I did this with a full single group took about 3 hours died many times.

This one definitely takes at least 6 to do. 18 max are allowed. I tried with 4 other people and it takes a bit of time to do each brownie, assuming we can get one alone. There are also annoying roamers to worry about, including Equestrielle. We ended up stopping to get some sleep. :p

I sure hate the fact that in a monster mission you get to choose a different class than your own. And your lvl/class makes no difference. Really gives your post meaning.

...if it would be entirely too much trouble if they could put some monster missions or LDon that a person could do solo. Try getting a group with a ranger. Unless you are in an "Uber Guild Dude going after seme uber l33t man", it is difficult to say the least.
