Find Chef Chowderly at location -100, +175, +115, next to Tylida Eraldi, who shows up on /find.

You say, 'Hail, Chef Chowderly'

Chef Chowderly says 'Sorry, friend. I do not mean to be rude, but I am very busy right now cooking a [meal].'

You say, 'What meal?'

Chef Chowderly says 'I must cook for a large portion of the people living here on the ship. Seems they just cannot get enough of my cooking. I am a master at making [tasty tuna dishes] after all.'

You say, 'What tasty tuna dishes?'

Chef Chowderly says 'Are you interested in the culinary arts? If you are, then you must have heard of some of my most famous dishes such as my Seafarer's Tuna-Corn Chowder. You haven't heard of that you say? Hrmph. If you are interested in perhaps learning my award winning recipes, I could use a good assistant. Throgar over there is not much help!' Chef Chowderly gives a cold glance to his assistant Throgar who is standing in a small pile of broken dishes. 'I swear he drops more dishes than he cleans! Anyway, I might have time to teach you some recipes if you [can help] me with something and you have some knowledge of cooking.'

You say, 'I can help you.'

Chef Chowderly says 'First of all I need some more dishes.' Chef Chowderly glances over at Throgar again, who drops a glass on the ground, shattering it into tiny pieces. 'Sigh. I think I will need a lot of dishes. If you can, take this note to my friend Rellix in Rivervale. He owes me a favor and should be able to give you some dishes. Return them to me when you get them.'

You receive a Note to Rellix. Rellix may be found in Rivervale near the /findable Byl Babbinsbort (location -135, -110, -8). Give him the note.

Rellix says 'A note from Chef Chowderly, eh? I haven't heard from him in some time. Hope he is doing well.' Rellix reads the note. 'I do happen to have some spare dishes. Here, take them.'

experimenting today after questions raised over on EQTC, I have discovered that:

Spicy Tuna Salad Sandwich is "auto-learned" at 150

Pan-Seared Orange Tuna is "auto-learned" at 160

Taelosian Tuna Kabobs is "auto-learned" at 175

I suspect that Chowderly's Delightful Tuna Cakes is also "auto-learned" at some point, but all I can confirm thus far, is it's not at 200.

I think we can also confirm that Taelosian Tuna A La King is NOT "auto-learned" at any point and you must follow the whole quest to get to the point that he gives you the recipe scroll - you will receive a DNC message if you haven't done the quest.

I caught 4 X 4lb tuna with a fishing skill of 175-185 at midnight in Abysmal Sea. I don't know but that the 2 & 3 lb might be caught at noon. Just a thought.

If your fishing skills are too high, you will not be able to catch any 1-2-3-4 pounders. Use an alt with little or no fishing skill.

Actually you can turn any size tuna into 1lb tuna chunks. Just combine the multi pound tuna in a mixing bowl. If you have a 4 pounder... it becomes 4 1 lb tunas... easy peasy!

what's up with the shissar eggs. I slaughtered hundreds of mobs in the temple and not 1 dropped an egg. Any secret to who/what drops these?

EDIT: ok, I got 3 to drop finally but that's after spending about 4 more hours there and making 3 trips. this is the worst thing to have to go fetch.

At 100 fishing skill I was bringing Saltwater Tuna in every time I cast, so a lower fishing skill is not the precise way to go. If you are having difficulty get exactly 1 lb. Saltwater Tuna, put any tuna in a mixing bowl and hit combine. It will give you numerous 1 lb. Saltwater Tunas.

(Ex: I put in 4 lb. Saltwater Tuna and created 1 lb. Saltwater Tuna x4.)

the problem isn't getting 1 lb. fish, it's the 2, 3 and 4 lb fish. They can only be fished or bought from someone else who fished it. You can't cut an 8 lb into a 4, only 8x1 lb.

After an entire afternoon and 300 fish bait with my lvl 66 druid w/fishing skill of 185 I finally read the post. Got out my lvl 8 ench with fishing skill of 10, and started landing the lower weight fish. My druid NEVER caught an item less than 4 lbs. You need a lower (skill) level evidently to get these fish.

Rellix in Rivervale scowls at Ogres and does not respond to hail, also does not accept Note to Rellix at this faction level. I'm going to guess it's some Rivervale faction needed, because I'm warmly to Yunjo's and ally to Nihil.

tbh, Not sure which faction he's on. But I've brought my ogre up so he's not KoS to anyone in Rivervale.

Try using Tier'Dal Illsion clicky if you have it, or have someone cast Wolf form on you. Both should work.

Tips for Getting Small Fish?

At 200 fishing skill, I've burned through about 200 fishing grubs so far and the smallest fish I've found is 5 lbs. Can anyone confirm if smaller fish show up more frequently with lower fishing skill? Or if 2 - 4 lb are found somewhere besides Natimbi?

It sure sounds like its time to work on the babies fishin' skills 'cause the higher fishing skill isnt working for me...

I also went through many buckets of fish bait before I gave up and switched to a little alt of mine. She started with a fishing of 10 and I fished 8 2lb, 1 3lb, and 7 4lb tunas and got my fishing up to 65. I think using someone with a lower fishing is definately the way to go.

Seems like a awful amount of work to go through for a 5% Mixing Bowl, When if your high enough to do most of the combines you should have the Baking Gm trophy. Unless I am missing something.

Naw he's got a point. Kinda pointless. Collapsed Mixing Bowl has the same clicky effect and the actual trophy you can get at this level has better stats then this anyhow. =P

But I THINK that you can have someone else make the items for you? (Or am I wrong?)

Hm, my dictionary says "soy" is another word for "soya". I don't know if a soy-bean (or soya-bean) is now in game but I would bet that the Soy sauce is made from this.

Just fyi, since it has been changed to a "non-stick" frying pan, on failure you make a large stew pot that is no drop and lore.

One possible method is to pass the Vah Shir citizenship test details at EQtrader. Basically you need to create a throw away Vah Shir toon..the procedure is somewhat long and complicated but is clearly outlined under the Vah Shir Tradeskills section of EQ traders
