This is a raid task of elemental-level difficulty with no time limit.

You must hurry. The Dark Reign are slowly making their way deeper into Tirranun's Delve. We have heard they seek a magic that the delve goblins possess that allows them to create a great, sentient, and dangerous dervish of stone. This dervish is a danger to anyone in the delve, but if the Dark Reign are able to capture and harness the dervish, they will most certainly use it in the army they build. You must find a way to put an end to this magic posthaste!

In this raid instance, you will find Emoush the Destroyer, a dervish, alongside three mystics: Shiflor, Griknok and Braggle. Kill them, loot up, and receive a Norrath's Keepers Token and 11 Radiant Crystals.

The Token you receive can be turned in to the Wayfarers Mercenary camp in Lavastorm for faction.

100 BL w/ RoF T3 Group gear. I trained to Emoush, downed the mystics then went full burn on Emoush the Destroyer. Downed him in about 5 seconds or less. Took train back out to ZL.

Did this today with 3 toons. I did have to get 3 others to join so i could pull the raid. Very simple. But you need alot of melee DPS. I had a 90 warrior, 90 mage, and 90 shaman. I never did much with this expansion so i needed the extra stats and hps/mana. Ran the warrior to the end room pulling all the trash with me where Emoush was and with the shaman lethargy on didnt need a heal to kill them all then ran the sham/mag to there too. When you start you will have to fight the 3 guards before E becomes targetable. He is immune when his guards are up and they will respawn again after a few minutes if your dps isnt high enough after the 3rd time he will go back to 100% E was immune to malo line and all fire based nukes resisted 50%+ of the mages magic based spells. So i just chained the temporary pets and melle'd him down to dead

Anyone know if you have to have 6 live toons to get Task?

NM. Just reread and realized it's a "raid" not a group task, so yes has to be live toons w/ no mercs. Oh well, so much for easy.

We got the task with 3 toons and 3 mercs, but of course the mercs went bye bye as soon as we zoned in. Took down Emoush with:

85 Ranger
85 Monk
70 Bard

All gobbies can be headshot so HoA/BoA is hot here. I popped Shiflor with my bow, he brought his two buddies to our group on the tiles. Kept them in a tight group, I off healed the bard mostly and BoAed the group. Brought all three down to about 15%, lined em up, BoAed the group and down they all went.

Ran to Emoush, Monk popped discs, I popped Third Spire of the Pathfinder Rk.III so me group mates could enjoy the devastation and Outrider's Accuracy, when that wore off popped Sureshot Rk.II, burned with Summer Viridity Rk.II, other mishmash and BoA Rk.II. Monk had to CH himself once, had no time to off heal in order to bring Emoush down, which we did first round!

He parsed to 495K btw if you are interested.

Boxed it with 85 mnk, 85 clr, 85 brd, 83 wiz, 82 shm, 77 rog

He went inactive at 18%, killed the Mystics again and downed emoush.
Monk tanked, Tier5 group SoD gear, most other toons are in various quality
SoD group gear. Cleric healed 3 times total.

6 Glowing Stone thingies + Malachite ring and a piece of elaborate silk gear.

Just tried 7 boxing it. 83 rog, 80 war, 81 sham, 81 cleric, 81 druid, 80 mage and 75 bard. Warrior is 3200+ AC 23000hp buffed with available buffs from classes listed and is like 200 AA's with crappy bazaar weapons. Rog is a little better then anguish with 2.0. Rest is much worse geared.

Trash mobs don't respawn, if this wasn't already mentioned. At least they didn't in the hour I took to get to Emoush. Got Emoush down to 10% on first round. Second round, got him to 2%. Almost didn't have to heal warrior when fighting Emoush. Had to throw in a couple heals besides HoT's when he was tanking all three goblin mystics, but really, none of them hit very hard on a lvl80 warrior. My healer/nuker bots ran nearly OOM on first Emoush round, but I didn't bother to sit them down to regen mana faster while I was killing the mystics again and on the second round of Emoush, they were OOM before I got Emoush half-way. It was painfull to get him down to 2% and see him go untargetable again. With all caster bots OOM, I decided it wasn't worth a 3rd round and I was better off having a clean go again later. But it is diffinently doable to 6 box this with poorly geared bots. Also, another thing that coulda gave me the win was trying to kill the mystics closer together. I probably lost 20 to 30 seconds each round on fighting Emoush because it took me that long from the first mystic death till the last. Should have maybe used some AE nukes. 20 seconds and my rogue probably could have done the extra 2% damage needed. And maybe I shoulda Dotted with my shaman instead of just nuking the whole time, espeacially when Emoush was close to going untargettable on the first round. He regened up to 63% before I was able to clear the mystics again.

This task gives you 11 crystals, not the 9 stated above.

Also, you need to have amiable faction to do obtain tier 2 tasks (meaning you hail npc to get your grp the task) but someone else with amiable or better can get task and you can preloot Emoush drop until you have faction to turn in.

OK, what have all of you determined are the least resisted of attacks on Emoush himself. For any descent damage what was he debuffed with and what did you get to hit best. Have heard cold based spells ?. I can tell you for sure that he may not be fire resistant 100% but you will NEVER get enough damage off them to take him down with any quickness. Magic based hits ranged from 25% to 100% and even the crits never landed for more than 100% of the normal damage.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

1kish ae every so often and a long recast ae while fighting him. both stun. war tanked 1 mystic until it got to 10%, got another, lowered to 10%, and the same for the last. only took three mystic cycles.

oddly, he's lower level than his mystics.

dropped 6 or 7 glowing stones and knight mace.

those parses are wasted on emoush though.
Every time he emotes, they all raise more.
That's why he starts off easier than the mystics, but he gets stronger and stronger, the longer you let him live.
That's why, if you actualy get to a 3rd wave of goblins, it would be better to just start over. His hp just gets way to high to keep up good dps on.

that's what i thought too, when he did that stronger emote. his hits never increased from engage to death. he did heal a bit though. and a 2.0 ber and rogue are more than enough dps.

For those that are not QVIC+ geared and want to do this raid...Have Hope! You do not need to be an uber guild at all to do this. Just need to have some good players and some organization.

My guild has done this raid several times now with anywhere from 12-18 players non-QVIC geared.
First time we killed Emoush with no respawn of mystics...after that think we had no more than two respawns. The key was organization.

Have 3 groups of 4-6 persons each. 1 Tank, 1 healer and others do DPS. Each tank rush their assigned mystic at same time. This is the tricky part. You need to knock them down at approximately same rate. Tanks should be calling out their mobs hp's every 10% so groups can slow down or speed up on DPS accordingly to keep them all about the same.

Once Mystics are down everyone jump over to Emoush. Now you want to pour on DPS as fast as you can. You have 2 mins to kill him before Mystics respawn. If you get respawn go back and repeat the above; just have one tank grab a Mystic and start from there. If you have any amount of DPS at all should be able to kill Emoush after 2nd wave of Mystics down.

I led this on Stromm last night. It was all a success. The information in these posts is accurate... we got the gobs to 25% each then let the tanks have them to move to the next one.

once they were all at 25% we killed them and then pulled Emoush IMMEDIATELY so to get him down fast... well we pulled him immediately but didn't start the burn till he got to us... i recommend meeting him so you start the burn down right away... he is Undead so remember to use the UD DoT's etc. and I am a Paladin and forgot my UD Disc /shame shame...

Anyway the gobbies repopped with Emoush at 20 somthing% and we medded up and did it again... but this time we BURNED him down and we won!

6 more got their drops (including me =) and the wrist item dropped.

I calculated my turnin and got 195hps (based on my most recent updated Magelo and my toon non-buffed ingame after turnin before magelo update) from the turn in i think it is a percentage much like the ND AA...

Regarding the lock out my /tasktimer says i was locked out for 2d 18hrs so lockout is confirmed.

Our guild on Saryrn along with close guild friends went along to try and get this quest completed. I wanted to share what we saw, because there was some confusion from the previous posts on exactly what we were to expect. Far and by, we are not an oober guild, so that needs to be taken in account when doing this quest.

First off, after you zone in, its pull-kill, pull-kill to work your way back to the area where the three gobbos and Emoush is at. Simple enough.

We did the tactic with pulling one of the named gobbos (they can be single pulled), smash him to about 10%, and then have an offtank keep him occupied. Once you have all three at 10%, everyone just swarm them and kill them all off. Easy enough.

Then pulled Emoush to us. He went down to 30% rather quickly, with no real consequence or problems. Easy buring, no deaths at this time.

Then we couldn't target Emoush and we did the gobbos again. Same tactics. All three went down fine. This was when things went awry (to say the least). Emoush had spammed those messages about growing stronger, only one post really gave a hint of that in this forum (2nd to the first post). On the second round, he started AOE stunning, which caused significant problems. Plus pets started getting away from us and getting smacked. We got him down to single digits when gobbos repopped again. By this time, we were doing battle reses and mana getting tight. Ended up wiping.

So, we reform again in the SW corner of the room. Buff up....etc....etc. Run through the process, all the while Emoush spams he is getting stronger. Well, he was. Now was hitting for 3k+ (just as that one post eluded to). We half wiped, resed, and broke for the day.

The odd thing though, and I did not correlate it exactly from tracking. It had been quite a bit since we started the run, and before we left, our puller said Emoush despawned. I could not verify if Emoush popped once we killed the 3 gobbo guards. He may buff himself up to the point where he poofs, then starts over again.

I agree on the 2 minute timer...it was AWEFULL fast for the gobbos on their repops. The key is to down him in the second round at all costs.

We also had someone in guild say they found some information saying you can only do/take this mission 1/3 days (or it only pops in that time frame). Couldn't find any verification on that.

Finally, we did not try to take the gobbos again after Emoush poofed. This might be a way to reset him, but do not have any proof of it.

Hope this helps. The tactics listed are good, just needed to fill in a few spaces.

Tried this last night and we were failing worse than we expected. After a few respawns, we figured out that the goblin mystics were respawning after 2 minutes, not the 3 minutes stated by others in this thread.

So either (1) script shortens the respawn timer the longer you attempt to kill Emoush the Destroyer, (2) the script was stealth-nerfed by SOE, or (3) the script was bugged last night.

And yes, we had several in our raid using stop watches and in-game clock to time the respawn of the first mystic to die. It never exceeded 2 minutes, 5 seconds on the times I was keeping track. Way, WAY TO FAST in my opinion.

best strategy to do is bring each mystic in one at a time,bang em down to 10-15%,bring em all together and bang them down with rain spells.the druid Tempest Wind spell does wonder's on these.Emoush has a lot of HP and we had about 22,we are Qvic/Time equipped,with couple pieces of Txevu here and there.everytime that Emoush Gains More Power emote comes up he gains about4-5% health back

got to be a bug or something but when we did it was like 3 mins on 1st one to they repoped and 2 mins on the rest we was 24 players and we used 3 tanks on the shammys 1 tank would pull and tank it with all dps assisting him to 10% then that tank would run it and the 2nd tank would pull the next one and tank it to 10% and run it and the 3rd tank would pull the 3rd shammy and all would kill it and move to by then the 1st and 2nd tank would be on there shammys and all would go down at the same time and then the 4th tank would pull emoush and all would get on him and about 3 mins the F#$@ing would pop and we start the shammys again did this for 3 hours got him dowm to 14%t at 1 time and shammy repoped so we just called it off

Just tried this event with 15 EPed folk, wasn't QUITE enough oomph, although we didn't have an ideal mix. We also had one out of 2 clerics LD and not come back on us on the way up, which hurt us a lot.

One bit of clarification here: There is a red Goblin King in the far north room along with Emoush and the others - once you attack him the raid event is locked out from new people. He serves no other purpose. You should med to full after killing him.

Emoush does not aggro when you engage the Mystics.

We ended up having a WAR+CLR on one Mystic, PAL+DRU on another Mystic and SHD+PAL+RNG on the third Mystic, and actually made it through to Emoush intact, albeit LOM. Our problem was a severe lack of DPS on killing Emoush, and our first go at the Mystics they got killed a little unevenly and we sat around a moment re-getting our bearings before engaging Emoush - we only got him down about 20% or so in the 90 seconds or so we had.

So, short story, recommended for this task: 3 tanks, 3 clerics (or enough cleric-wanna-bes), a good chanter or two for the adds along the way, a decent puller, and as much DPS as you can muster - this fight is (mainly) about DPS.

We pulled the King to the intersection in the corridors and we killed him without locking the raid. What did it was moving the raid into the last room, that gave us a Task Completed message and locked the raid.

The King/Cook/Servant and the 2nd trash mobs at each static spot is actually a hopefully short termed bug. They are from a mission that uses the same map and somehow the raid has the King's mission spawned inside it.

Can someone confirm the DoN AA award? Also I have heard that you get a spell?

I have heard 200 HP/MANA, then 300 HP/MANA. Any confirmation on this would be awesome. OK, what about the non-Anguish geared peeps out there? For example the 11K tanks and the 6k mana clerics? Is this doable. If so, how many peeps? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Also if there are any people that want to knock this out, PST. Any others that are puting this together and want to have numbers, PST as well.

Can kill each add all the way. Don't need to hold at 10% to kill simultaneously. Not sure when the timer starts for them to reactivate, on death of first or on engage of Emoush. This would be the only reason I could see to kill them together. They all reactivate at the same time though. We typically do this with 8 - 10 people who are Anguish geared.

Repop seems to be five minutes after the first mystic dies. So killing them all as close together as you can maximizes your time on Emoush. Emoush does get stronger over time, so it's best to finish him off in as few rounds as possible. Of course, this is a lowish elemental level encounter and if you're way beyond that it just won't matter.

With a good group of people, have 3 separate tanks. Concentrate 1 group per named. Once one group has mob down to 10% all back off except the tank for that mob. He is not to kill the mob but to keep it entertained while the rest of his group go and help the others. As each are at 10% life, finish them off around the same time. Once all 3 are dead, the Destroyer becomes targetable. All groups get on him and and kill him fast. I don't know how long it takes before the 3 get on their feet again, as we did what I mentioned and killed Destroyer without any repops.

the reason for killing the mystics fast is that the timer starts when the first one dies/fd at that point you have 3 min to kill Emoush before the mystics stand back up and Emoush becomes unhitable at which point you rinise and repeat the mystics to get emoush hitable again.
emoush has a 1k ae that goes off every 60 seconds


he's not to bad max hit wise unless you stand around and watch him grow in power starts out hitting for a max of 1kish at 1.7 k ac < after ten min of waiting for ppl to regen mana he was hiting for 3k >

Its about average Difficulty... its like this

You clear some junk mobs, the same difficulty as the normal instanced zone. When you get to the final room, you trigger the emoush script, from this point on, you are sorta on a timer, as every so often he gains in power.

He is up, and unattackable, he has 3 guards, when all 3 guards are dead, he is attackable, BUT the guards repop after being dead for about 5 min, and when one repops they all do, so you need to do this..

Pull the guards one at a time, beat them to 10% and hold them, pull the other 2 and do the same, then kill them all at the same time.. If you have stacked DPS u can burn the named down fast, if not, they adds will repop one time.. i sujest you pull the named away form his spawn, the adds repop in the spot they are in, to begin with, so dont kill emoush near those spots

Once the adds repop, do the same thing over, emoush will regen about 5%/min, soon as all 3 adds are dead, burn emoush, and collect your loot.

You get one peice of loot + 6 stones used for progression quest.

Single groupable but must include SK, Pally, and Necro.... Need to undead nuke the **** outta Emoush.... Cannot allow 3rd spawn....
