You must have already completed the Rallos Zek, Tallon Zek, and Vallon Zek flags in order to bypass killing the Manaetic Behemoth (need confirmation -- are these flags necessary to complete this bypass?).

Find Grooble in the Plane of Innovation at -226.78, 1458.43, 5.28.

You say, 'Hail, Grooble'

Grooble says 'What? How did you get here? Where are the guards? Have you come to free me from my accursed [task]?'

You say, 'What task?'

Grooble says 'I was caught by a nasty gnome who makes me toil night and day tending to this infernal machine! Oh, if I could only escape . . . But there are so many other guards I could never make it out of here. And yet here you are . . . No friend of the gnome I see. Perhaps you've come to destroy his [machine]?'

You say, 'I have come to destroy his machine.'

Grooble says 'I can help you in this task if you agree to help me escape. It will not be easy though. We will need to fight our way past some guards and then you will need to protect me as I disable the machine once and for all. Will you [help] me now then?'

You say, 'I will help you now.'

Grooble says 'Good, then I will need you to find the two tin-soldier overseers that run the machine. Working in unison they both manage and control the machine's output of iron-clad warriors. Each of them carries one half of a coded key that is required to gain access into the machine's central core. Once you have disabled both overseers and I have this key, I will be able to dismantle the machine's core.'

The two overseers Grooble speaks of are Tin Overseer Alpha and Tin Overseer Omega. They each drop a Part of a Coded Key for Rallos' Machine. Bring these two parts back to Grooble.

They spawn after speaking with Gooble, and despawn after two hours. Both Overseers are level 67. One spawns in the room directly north of Behemoth, the other directly south.

Bring Grooble the two Coded Parts:

Grooble says 'Yes, here it is . . . the acme master control nexus. Take this as proof that the machine will no longer function. Your attacks within this fortress have also caused enough of a diversion that I think can escape on my own. Many thanks to you!'
You gain experience!!

You receive an Acme Control Nexus, which you must bring to Ronar Flametip, located in the Plane of Tranquility building leading to the Plane of Fire, at 254.12, -2115.56, -924.92:

Ronar Flametip says 'Very good. I watched your final fight against the mechanized tide of Rallos and saw your triumph. I shall dispose of this part properly so that Norrath will never be in danger from this threat again. Though this part of your journey is at an end, I sense that many more paths now exist for you to tread upon. Fare thee well _____!'

Ronar directs you to kill two Diaku Plankeepers in Plane of Tactics, and return the two plans (Half of Rallos' Plans and Other Half of Rallos' Plans) they drop to him.

Information needed on where it goes from here.

Ok, after turning in the plans to Ronar, it directs you to Giwin in Innovation. When I hailed him, he said "Well go on then, what are you cowering around for, let's see what kind of warrior you are."

At this point, he becomes attackable. I killed him, and he dropped normal trash loot.

Did the 2 parts of the key and turned them in to Ronar Flametip only to recieve flag message...could not enter tactics (go figure).

Today I got on and went for the 2 plans keepers to try turning in their stuff....The 2 Diaku plans keepers are found down in the barracks area of Tactics. Go to the pit area but do not drop in. Hang right and go down steps..cross over 2 rooms and then paydirt on your mobs. Kill the two plans keepers and loot your notes, take notes back to Ronar and upon turning them in together you get this message:

You hand Ronar both halves of the plan. He places one on top of the other and then holds them both up to the light. You see how, when held in this manner, the light displays the words from one page onto the other making a complete record. Ronar says, 'ah yes, I see it so clearly now. It appears the rallos was using the power Solusek Ro was providing him to power a great machine which is being used to create an unstoppable army of metallic warriors. It appears that one of the name of Giwin is overseeing this. Go to the plane of innovation and seek him out so you may discover how to end this threat once and for all.

Went to PoI at this point and tried to hail gnome in factory (didnt work).
I asked him about ending the threat but he responded to no one.

My question is even with my toon flag what good is it and what does it update but give nothing for flag?

Need help on this one...MB is last I need for elemental...

Everytime I zone in to plane of tranquility it tells em I'm qualified to enter elementals yet I click on fire and I cant go in...any info about this is cool, send tells when ya also figure this one out

Grooble Not Responding

While my guild was off raiding PoAir, I decided to run a raid to gather some of these alternate flags for people. I took about 3 groups of folks in to PoI for 7 Grooble runs. Interestingly, Grooble would not respond to 3 or 4 of the people that needed it. I know that some of them did the MB preflag on our way in, so I'm wondering if that is required for the quest or if it's preventing Grooble from responding to them. We did the quest anyway, so at least everyone has their drops. Grooble does not accept the turnins from those particular people. Trying to figure out why.

A while ago, I helped a friend do this quest so he could get Tactics access to get in ungimped for a VZ raid, and I'm pretty sure he didn't have any of the Zek flags at the time, so I don't think it has anything to do with that (although, the quest could have been altered since then to make RZ a prerequisite for the quest).

i did this quest up to the part with ronar went and killed the "a diaku plan keeper" x2 in tactics, turned in the plans to ronar. but ronar responded to me with:
"Ronar Flametip says '`My thanks for stopping Solusek Ro. Did you discover any more information about his plans or maybe who he was working with?' You hand him the note containing the copied symbols. `What's this then? These symbols haven't been seen by mortal eyes for nearly a millennium I would say. These are no doubt, from the ancient tongue of fire. After a bit of time spent researching from some of his ancient tomes Ronar returns. `It seems Solusek was indeed preparing to attack Norrath. Apparently the spell from his tower is meant to create some sort of power source. What the power source may be used for, I cannot say. I did also manage to translate this one symbol that refers to his accomplice, though. It seems that Rallos Zek formed some sort of pact with Solusek to attack Norrath. You must stop Rallos immediately. I fear that by killing Solusek, Rallos may choose to hasten the attack on Norrath. You must stop him and make sure that their plans die with him."

i assumed that meant i needed to kill vz/tz/rz, got those 3 flags but when i return to ronar he gives me the same text. did the preflag for MB. anyone know what im still missing to complete this alternate flag?

The quest is this: get piggied into Tactics. One groupable. Kill 2x a diaku plankeepers. loot the 2 map halves. Take these halves to Ronar flametip. He directs you to go to Grooble in Innovation and do his part of the quest. Talk to Grooble to spawn the Overseers, and kill them, loot both halves of the machine, and give them to Grooble, he gives you the Acme control modue. Take this to Ronar flametip to get the full flag.
**quest broken**
As of this post. IF you have done the Diaku Raider's emblem quest from Storms, for exp only access to tactics, you DO NOT get the MB flag when doing this quest. **quest broken**

This flags one at a time. You kill the robots in the factory, loot the pieces they drop, and turn into Grooble for the nexus majigger. (You need factory key to get into the factory, and you get this by killing Xanamech)

I believe when you say "I will help" or something along those lines it spawns the overseers.

And if you're wondering, Grooble's loc is about Neg 230 Pos 1450. His room has two tin soldier guards in it that can't be snared or rooted. They don't see too terribly far, I'm pretty sure you can just pull one and if you're careful enough you can do the turnin without killing the other.
actual flag?

Does this result in the actual MB flag? so it does count towards planar progression?
Tin Guys

Does speaking with Grooble spawn the Tin Overseers, or are they hidden somewhere else in the zone? I can't seem to find them.

It is annoying that Grooble is in the factory as I have no factory key (but have TZ/VZ/RZtW) and need to do this twice. Someone is going to hate me.

Is this a "real" MB flag, or like other backflag quests not help charm stats?

Grooble is located inside the factory, in one of the small rooms just near Behemoth.
Group/Single issue

Submitted more information today about the quest, and I also confirmed this is a single character flag.

The Tin Overseer's do not hit for more than 600 damage, but have a moderate amount of hitpoints. Bring a healer; a decent tank, or a slower; and a high-dps class.

Next part of the quest requires tactics access, plus druid in my group confirmed Behemoth pre-flag is also needed to do this quest.

Is this a single flag like the Askr BoT Flag or is it a group flag like the Diaku quest?? I am thinking its just single due to the fact of 5flagged to 1 will-in. Just Wondering.
Uh...

Uh...wouldn't it have been easier to make RZtW/TZ/VZ kills autoflagged for Tactics? You know, like they do with the EPs now?
