Rewards are class-specific armor pieces. Druids receive Greenvale armor, monks receive Stillmind armor, and beastlords receive Beast Tamer armor.

You say, 'Hail, Barowsar'

Barowsar says 'Greetings, ______. I have heard your name spoken among the few dragorn that find their way here to visit Master [Lenarsk]. They say you are an enemy of the Muramites? If so, then let me greet you properly.' The dragorn bows deeply. 'Apprentice Tanner Barowsar at your service.'

You say, 'Who is Lenarsk?'

Barowsar says 'Though I call him master, Lenarsk has been more like a father to me. My true father, Noble Jelvan the Eldest, I have not seen since the Muramites captured the High Council of Eight. I was but a young hatchling then, and Lenarsk, my father's tanner, hid me within a tapestry and took me to safety into the wilderness. Now that I am old enough, he has taken me as an apprentice, teaching me to cut and shape leather into armor. If you would be interested, I have leatherwork for your [hands], [wrists], [arms], [head], [chest], [legs], or [feet]. You may find it useful in your battles against the Muramites. It is yours provided, of course, you can perform a favor in return.'

Hands

You say, 'Hands?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, Harbinger's Spire was once a dragorn lookout tower which Mata Muram has since claimed and bent to his own purposes. He uses the spire as a beacon to receive news on his domain. Some of his captains possess infused crystal shards which can be used to send up beacons from Harbinger's Spire. Return to me with one of these spire control shards as well as two glistening murkglider pelts to hide it in. I have heard rumors of a small force of dragorn in Dranik's Scar that still stand against Mata Muram. If we can disrupt the Muramite communication network, we may buy these rebels time to plan their next attack. It's a small thing, but until I am old enough to fight, it's the best I can do to help them. In return for your help I will reward you with a masterwork set of leather gloves.'

Spire Control Shards drop from various named in The Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Glistening Murkglider Pelts drop in the Wall of Slaughter from yard trash.

Wrists

You say, 'Wrists?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, my kin believe that all the dragorn were created by the death of a single dragon, Dranik -- the great father. The first dragorn to walk Kuua created many things in his honor. Among these creations was a fearsome battle standard painted with a drop of blood from each of Dranik's firstborn sons. The last dragorn armies to carry the banner fell to the Muramites. No one can say where the Blood Standard of Dranik has gone, but the recovery of such an artifact would leave me in your debt. If you return with this banner as well as with two Dansk branches, I can remake a haft for this standard to fly again. In return, I can offer a finely crafted leather wristguard as your reward.'

Dranik Blood Standard drops from named in the Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Dansk Branches drop a kyv heartstriker in Nobles' Causeway.

Barowsar says 'The Blood Standard of Dranik! I did not believe it still existed! This will bring hope to the few dragorn who still resist Mata Muram. I only wish I was ready to join them. Thank you. As promised, here is a leather wristguard as a reward.'
You gain experience!!

Arms

You say, 'Arms?'

Barowsar says 'I have little memory of Kuua before the Muramites came. I was but a hatching when they began to pour into our lands. I have heard stories though, stories of green mountains and fields of Dansk blossoms. If only I could see it all now. If you can find a map of Old Kuua, one drawn before the coming of Discord, I would like to study it to remind myself that this land was not always twisted by Discord. Bring me one of these maps along with two Dansk blossoms so that I may imagine the world of my elders. Do this and I can reward you with an ornate pair of leather armguards from Master Lenarsk's collection.'

Map of Old Kuua drops from named in the Ruined City of Dranik and the Wall of Slaughter. Dansk Blossoms drop from ikaav yard trash in Nobles' Causeway and The Ruined City of Dranik.

Head

You say, 'Head?'

Barowsar says 'I was too young to remember fully, but when Discord first impinged upon our world, treachery and paranoia crept into the lives of my kin. Only one dragorn, Noble Yemall the Arcane, kept his wits long enough to realize what was happening. Yemall toiled tirelessly to counter the effects of Discord. Although his efforts were in vain, it is said that he was able to author a treatise before the Muramites seized him. This treatise, entitled The Duskfall Chronicles, contains his reflections on the nature of Discord. No one knows what has happened to this text, but if you are able to recover it, I can study its teachings and perhaps begin to understand why so many of my kin turned on one another. Bring me this treatise along with two Muramite ritual scrolls to help me understand the nature of Discord. Do this and I can reward you with a leather helm from Master Lenarsk's collection.'

Duskfall Chronicles drops rarely in Nobles' Causeway and the Wall of Slaughter.

Chest

You say, 'Chest?'

Barowsar says 'One of my greatest regrets stems from the fact that I only have vague memories of my father, Jelvan the Eldest. I have not seen him since the Muramites came and then I was only a hatchling. It is said that he carried a scepter granted by Dranik himself. This scepter will glow as long as its owner is alive. If you can recover his scepter along with three tattered chimera pelts to conceal it in, I will be able confirm if he is still alive. I can reward you with an ornate leather chest plate that I made under the tutelage of Master Lenarsk.'

Tattered Chimera Pelt drop off chimera in the Wall of Slaughter. The sceptre requested is Dragorn Elder Scepter and drops off Tiorpat Tornwing in The Ruined City of Dranik or Velitorkin in Wall of Slaughter.

Legs

You say, 'Legs?'

Barowsar says 'As you may know, Kuua was not the first world touched by Discord. I have heard many stories of past conquest told by the Muramites. They say that the last ember of a Discord-ravaged city will burn for many years, long after the ruins of the city itself have been covered over by time. Some say it's the city's spirit, slowly dying. Others claim it to be a side effect of the Discord's lingering magic. Regardless, these embers are highly valued by the legions of Discord, for Mata Muram rewards them to his fiercest captains as war trophies. If you can bring me one of these embers along with three dragorn-crafted metal bowls to contain it, I can keep this precious item away from the Muramites. I do not think the last remnants of a destroyed world should be flaunted with such irreverence. Secure these from the Muramites and my leather leggings shall be yours.'

Dragorn City Ember drops from Pyrique Redwing in the Wall of Slaughter. Dragorn Metal Bowls drop from dragorns and girplans in the Wall of Slaughter.

Feet

You say, 'Feet?'

Barowsar says 'When Discord first descended upon Kuua, many of my own kin turned traitor. There is talk of a traitors' stone which is etched with the names of all dragorn who conspired with the Muramites in those dire days. The Muramite captains carried these stones and used them to determine which dragorn to slay outright and which to spare with a life of slavery. If you can bring me one of these Kuuan traitor stones, now found on some of my twisted brethen, along with two Muramite Dragorn slaver whips, I can bury these items for good. If the dragorn are going to make a united stand against the Muramites, we need to forget about the treacheries of the past and stand together as one united force. Burying this stone will bring us together as a people. Bring me these items and I can reward you with a finely crafted pair of leather boots. Good luck!'

Kuuan Traitor Stones drop from various named in Nobles' Causeway, the Ruined City of Dranik, and the Wall of Slaughter. Muramite Dragorn Slaver Whips drop from dragorns in Nobles' Causeway, the Ruined City of Dranik, and Wall of Slaughter. On hand-in:

Barowsar says 'Well done ______. I understand the Muramites guard these well. I'll bury this stone so the dragorn of Kuua can move on from the horrors of the past and instead look to the future. As promised, here is a pair of finely crafted leather boots as your reward.'

Shard, Standard, Map
# Mar 03 2007 at 10:34 AM Rating: Decent
I have been hunting a bit in RCoD and I have only killed a few of the named and their placeholders. My experience in RCoD playing with named lead to this:

Spire Control Shard drops from the Kyv Bowhound.
Dranik Blood Standard Drops from Ungi the Swift.
Map of Old Kuua drops from Ornaia the Foul.

The mobs drop one rare and one common piece of loot, and these pieces seem to be on the rare set. I do not know if other mobs drop them, but I did see that these mobs dropped them like this, that is to say the named never dropped a different armor drop, they dropped the listed one or a loot item.

20 minute timers I think, and some mobs are well spread, makes for good soloing if ya got the stuff.

Are these armors still worth doing? Currently doing faction, wondering if there are similar things in new expansions.

They are worth doing, if you get the drops, and do not have beeter in that slot. However, you can get similar (slightly better in most cases) armor from the DoN merchants, for radiant or ebon crystals.
Dansk Blossoms
# Jan 31 2007 at 11:35 PM Rating: Decent
The only mob that drops Dansk Blossoms is the Ikaav Overseer, and it's a rare drop. 1 out of about 100 kills so far, just another 100 kills to go..

Been doing faction on my monk for over a week now. Got him up to amiable 3 nights ago. From where I started counting the faction hits. Im somewhere in the ball park of 350...and Im still at amiable. Not to impressed with the factioning required for these quests. Sure the gear is decent...but not that good that it should require this amount of faction work.
dansk branches

set up camp north of last bridge coming from dranik's scar on the way to wall of slaughter in nobles' causeway. 70 pal, 66 cleric, 70 druid. druid pulled singles mostly but we had no problem with three when we had repops on a pull. dansk branches dropped from 'a kyv heartstriker.' had our second drop after about 90 minutes. hope that helps.

# Feb 04 2005 at 1:24 PM Rating: Decent
I just did 4 quest item turn-ins and received armor from all four. My faction had just turned from "kindly" to "warmly" and I went immediately to try my the turn-ins. No problem. YEAH, finally! So, you do not have to wait for different levels of "warmly" for different items. At least that was my experience, hope it helps.

Pretty sure lvl 60 is required as that is what is required on the items...

I am ally on both my druid and warrior, it did take a little while but was quite easy. This was all done in basically 2 zones. RcoD where almost all mobs added to loyalists and 2nd was in DS on the 2nd floor of the castle at DS/NC zoneline.

all of the kyvs on 2nd floor are lt blue to lvl 70, dont summon. Little tricky to make enough room because there are many wanderers and some see invis, but once you clear a few you just plow through them. I would do the castle spot 2 box'd w/ dru/war in down time between exp and raiding.

RCoD is also quite good not only for the faction but for the decent loot, and 75% + of the oow armor quest items drop here. So farming the items needed for the quest and lots faction hits all in one.

The dragorn sceptre drops from 2 raid mobs.
Velkitor /spellckeck ( big ape in middle of WoS)
and i forget his name offhand, but the zone spammer in RCoD whom is at the Foul camp.

having a required level on either the quest or the items makes having the level be required by for the other rather unneededly redundant. Since the items all have to be turned in at the same time to get the armor piece and all the armor pieces are no drop, that means that only the person doing the hand in at that time can get the item and no one else. If you're required to be level 60 to be able to do the quest then there is absolutely no purpose at all for having a required level 60 on the item. Also going the other way, if the quest reward has a required level 60 on the item it makes doing the quest before level 60 somewhat useless since you won't be able to use the item till then either way.
Level Requirement!
# Jan 20 2005 at 1:19 PM Rating: Decent
I have reached HIGH warmly faction with dranik loyalists, and still am unable to receive the quest dialogue. The only other thing I can think of that is holding it back is my level. Currently level 57, and quest reward items are level 59 required to wear.... So it seems you cannot complete the quest pre-59. I wanna cry. Well at least the faction is waiting for me when I grow up. Anyone else suffer this fate?

I have heard that SoE have implemented anti-MQ coding to these new quests, i.e. all items must be handed to NPC at the same time.

Can anyone confirm this to be true?

No Endurance?
# Oct 30 2004 at 11:36 PM Rating: Decent
Greetings!

I'm a level 70 Beastlord. I've gotten several pieces of this so far. I have no beef with the stats as the balance out well with a full suit. However I'm wondering why there is no endurance on any piece of this armor at all?

All of the melee useable mob dropped items (normal, att, and no drop) that I've seen, in OOW, all have endurance on them. Was wondering if they left it off intentionally. Or if they just forgot to add it on. Anyone have any ideas? Or think it would be worth a /bug ?

Endurance is meant for the pure melee classes for the most part. The items with END you saw were probably useable by any of: Monk, Warrior, Rogue.

beastlords use END for their disc's also so we need it just as much as the next guy

Not really. We use end, but we don't have nearly the disc selection of the the other classes. I can pop my discs as fast as I can used them and still never run out.

Hmmm, wonder why SOE would put Char on this instead of Str?

CHA affects success rate of divine intervention:

It's based off the toons cha with the buff. If you're killing 66+ mobs in OOW and still need STR there is something wrong.

Wed Oct 20 06:00:00 2004] You say, 'head'
[Wed Oct 20 06:00:00 2004] Lenarsk says 'I have a wonderfully woven cap that was meant for the son of a noble. Alas, both father and son fell victim to the wicked Muramites and were forcibly marched through the causeway to their deaths. In exchange for the cap, I seek the walking stick of a certain dragorn elder that also perished during the march. I have heard rumors that the stick was enchanted such that were it to be lost it would find its way back to its owner. You must bring back Patorav's walking stick to me. Also, the Muramite guards that gleefully killed our leaders were given awards. Find me two Muramite Noble's March awards as well.'

Anyone know where the staff referred to in this portion of the text drops>? Got the two march awards in pg off random trash. Cant seem to find a mob named Patorav... Lil help pls

I don't know about the rest of the BST's out there but I know as a lvl 67 BST I am VERY disappointed that once again Sony has put massive amounts of STA on what would have been awsome new gear. Don't get me wrong, most of the effect, regen, mana regen attack on this stuff is AWSOME but...

As a BST STA is the very LEAST of my worries because it is one of the easiest stats for a BST to max out. They made the SRO LDoN gear have lots of STA as well which I could undstand for the monks and druids but the new OoW gear is class specific. (Let me just say now that this rant is based on the gear as a whole, which is usually how Sony likes to "round out" stats and I have yet to see a link on the pants.)

As a BST what would have really been a nice change is if they had put more DEX and STR on stuff than STA. I did notice that the boots have nice DEX but so far that is about the only piece I've seen of this stuff with a great stat that ISN'T stamina. Heck they put 10 DEX on the Tunic but then also put 17 STA on it as well. Oh and lets not forget the 8 STA on the Cap and the 15 STA on the gloves - WTH!! Oh yes, and do we dare get me started on the supposed Improved Healing 5 effect on the sleeves, O.M.G. Who thought of THAT - Why not something more useful to a BST, like Extended Range 5!!

And no offense guys, but what's with the stats on the bracers?!?!? CHA 8, come on peeps, why not STR 8 instead of CHA!?!?!?! NOOOO had to do that old STA 7 CHA 8 crap. WHAT DOES A BST NEED WTTH CHA BESIDES SELLING TO VENDORS?? Have I missed something? Someone PLEASE enlighten me.

I don't see why you're complaining about getting large amounts of stamina. Stamina gives you HPs, and HPs mean a lot; much more than slightly higher damage or extra few hits you might get with strength or dexterity. If you're dead, what good are they to you?

With new spells raising stamina caps, new higher levels raising stat caps, and new AA's raising the same stat caps even more, it's possible to get some rediculous amounts of stamina, and I don't know about you but one of my main goals is to reach that amount without buffs.

I could understand if you were complaining about extra INT on Beastlord armor (if they happened to add it), but honestly, why the hell worry about extra STA? There are more armors in the game than just this, and more than just class specific items too. Pick and choose, and even more important, stop whining.

Whiners make me whine, and its generally not a good thing. :(

While the stats aren't exactly great on this item, I'm more troubled by the low upgrade of resists from Ornate.

Adding up the resists from Ornate to Tamer's (minus legs) I come up with FR +5 DS +14 CD -17 MG +19 PO +31. That's a grand total of +52. Not really what i'd expect from an OOW quest, even if it is only Tier 1. The effects are great and AC/Hp's are reasonable. I'm thinking Head and maybe one Wrist is worth upgrading from bazaar buyable.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 05 2004 at 3:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) And how did I know that peeps would ONLY focus on the STA complaint and NOT SEE the fact that I was complaining about the gear as a whole and how it's very STA heavy and not very 'rounded out' stat wise. STA is awsome YES for the added HP's but STR and DEX are important also and seem to be left off a lot of BST gear. And as a BST I have noticed that it is easier to max STA without buffs long before you can max DEX or STR without buffs.

The item for the chest called a dragorn elder sceptre dropped off of Velitorkin in WoS. Not sure if it is worth getting for leather classes since he also drops a nice leather tunic. Bazu Hide Tunic ... will post stats after patch =)

What are you guys finding to be the best way to raise your faction, and in which zone?

Any idea how long it took to get ally faction, I have the items for beastlord arms and gloves, wanna do this guest.
RE: Faction

I have 305 positive faction hits for Dranik Loyalists from killing Kyv's, Ukun's, etc. I have Zero negative faction hits with them. I have not had any positive faction hits from any quests. 2 factions are maxed out, but I am still threateningly to the quest NPC.

Be prepared to do Lots and Lots of killing to get your faction to warmly. Lots.. and lots.. and some more after that.

Your faction standing with Overlord Mata Muram got worse.
Your faction standing with Riftseekers could not possibly get any better.
Your faction standing with Children of Dranik could not possibly get any better.
Your faction standing with Dranik Loyalists got better.

**** Update 11/1/04 *****
Somewhere around 350 positive faction hits I went from Threatenly to Doubious. Considering you need to make 7 "Con" step increases (KoS, Threaten, Doubious, Apprehensive, Indiff, Amiable, Kindly, Warmly), it's going to take some serious work. Rumor I read somwhere was that it was around 2k faction hits, and I find it believable.

/agree ... most definitely Dranik Loyalists factions...

And what a major pain it is to raise! Best way to check factions is to kill in Dranik's Scar (Nocs, Unuks, etc. like the link says for faction raising) then go find Tibor down near the zone in from PoK and con him. Since he is a quest NPC, he will not attack you no matter what faction, but this way you do not have to go all of the way to Bloodfields and con Barrowsar.
