Canloe Nusback (Warrior Guildmaster) may be found at -20, +535. He's on Find (Ctrl+F). He's on Storm Guard faction.

You say, 'Hail, Canloe Nusback'

Canloe Nusback says 'Step forward and speak up, young ______! Kaladim can always use another warrior. Are you [ready to serve Kaladim] or has a yellow streak appeared down your back?'

You say, 'I am ready to serve Kaladim.'

Canloe Nusback says 'Then serve you shall. Let your training begin on the battlefields of Faydwer. Seek out and destroy all [Crushbone orcs]. Return their belts to me. I shall also reward you for every two orc legionnaire shoulder pads returned. A warrior great enough to slay one legionnaire shall surely have no problem with another. Go, and let the cleansing of Faydwer begin.'

You say, 'What Crushbone orcs?'

Canloe Nusback says 'The army of the Crushbone orcs is deadly indeed. They are great military strategists. It was a legion of them that brought down the great [Trondle Ogrebane]. Speak with Furtog Ogrebane about the Crushbones. He has need of warriors such as you.'

You say, 'Who is Trondle Ogrebane?'

Canloe Nusback says 'Trondle Ogrebane is the legendary dwarven warrior who single-handedly exterminated the ogre clan called the [Mudtoes]. He was recently killed in battle. It took an entire legion of Crushbone orcs to bring him down. Furtog is still fuming about that.'

You say, 'Who are the Mudtoes?'

Canloe Nusback says 'The Mudtoes were a small clan of ogres. They lived somewhere in the Butcherblock Mountains. They had an insatiable appetite for dwarves. They were finally destroyed by the hand of Trondle Ogrebane.'

Crushbone Belt drop from orc centurions all around Faydwer. Hand one in:

Canloe Nusback says, 'Good work, warrior! Now continue with your training. Only on the battlefield can one become a great warrior.'

CB belts

16 belts got me at Wood Elf Ranger level 7 2 bulbs of xp and cloth armour and a little cash. After tomorrow I will have returned with 32 belts. I wonder how much xp I will get?

Also a higher level Bard said that the Dwarf gives leather armour instead of cloth armour at higher levels. Is this true?
RE: CB belts {Could be useless by lvl 11}
# Feb 26 2001 at 4:29 AM Rating: Default
I did get leather armour at lvl 9 and 2 bulbs of xp for 32 CB belts, so it was worth an hour trip.

Therefore for each 2 level I inc. I need double the amount of belts to get the same xp. Therefore this quest is useless by lvl 11 as ALL my slots in the bank would be filled with CB belts to get 2 bulbs of xp. No wonder after a bit people sell the belts on!

If I am a lvl 7 Bard will I get the same exp as U?
RE: CB belts

No you will get more as I have 2 disadvantages:
1. Im a hybrid class which gives -25% exp. off any kill or quest

2. Im a Wood Elf, that gives another exp. disadvantage.

A bard has neither of these penalties & therefore will go up a lot quicker
Am I blind?

Ok, I give in... Where exactly is this Canloe Nusbeck character? I have looked all throughout the Guild building and can't locate him/her.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I had a friend who still got exp for this quest at 20. He just had a bunch of orc belts he had never gotten rid of, and decided to fool around.

Indeed. I am a Level 12 Cleric and for turning in about 12 belts, I get about a half a bubble of XP. Add to that, between 4 and 16 silver PER BELT and some low level armor or item oer belt also which I sell, this quest is VERY worthwhile for me.

And having Gate helps tremendously as an easy portal from Kaladim back to the Kelethin Orc Lift for more killing!

This same NPC will also take Legionaire Pads from Crushbone. You need to give him 2 Lego pads at a time. He gives good xp, money, faction, and items in return, much like the Belt quest. You can sell the items you get to the vendor in the main hall of the Warrior guild. It is the NPC you pass on your way to Canloe. Just some additional info, enjoy!

I tried turning in Legionaire Shoulderpads (dropped in Commonlands) and he just said thank you. Not a great experience after the damn boat ride!

Hey All, what the minimum faction required to start this. lvl 8 necro (erudite) with glowers dubious faction. Conloe takes my belts, but tells me im no friend of the storm guard. im sure my faction just isnt high enough to start it yet. anyone know what the minimum is?

I did this with my Wood Elf druid, who was also dubious, and I god exp and an item. So probably you'd get it if you were less dubious, or apprehensive.

You will most likely need to kill goblins and get your faction up to amiably.
Question
# Nov 06 2000 at 11:56 AM Rating: Default
It's true, this quest kicks!

Gotta question though: What if you turn in two at the same time (or three or four) instead of one, do you waste a belt or get more money, better item, etc?
RE: Question

Turning four at a time, has no different effect than turning in one at a time. You just get done quicker.

Awesome Quest!

I had one bubble in lvl 6, I gave him 14 belts and left with one bubble in level 7! He's right, this is the best newbie quest!

Just out of curiousity, I wonder how much XP a Level one character would get by turning in a belt? Would they ding with one belt...two...?

This quest is a great one...in 30 minutes, i can fill a small box (8 slots) with CB belts and haul them back for xp, or you can get a PP per belt...great for lvls 5-9
CB belt quest
# Jul 03 2000 at 3:58 AM Rating: Decent
The xp on this quest is insane...you can get CB belts as soon as lvl 4 or 5, and thats easily a full bubble of xp at that level for 2 belts.
