This is a Medium task. You can also receive it in the Dreadlands (from whom?).

What a glorious day to go on patrol! That's exactly what you'll be doing for the next little while, soldier. You're going to start by taking the time to explore the entrance of Howling Stones in the skorpikis canyon. Don't do anything fancy, just keep your eyes peeled for any signs of hostile actions in the area. If you find anything, then you'll know what to do. Good Luck!

Step 1

Journey to the area near the entrance to Charasis in The Overthere (at the bottom of the canyon in the middle of the zone).

Step 2

Kill 10 of A Gunthak Swabby in the Timorous Deep.

Step 3

Loot 4 Fine Steel Rapiers in the Timorous Deep.

Step 4

Explore the first dock on the northwestern island.

Step 5

Deliver 4 Fine Steel Rapiers to Kellewin Stillwater.

Need additional dialogues, experience award.

Reward is 116 p, 8 g, 7 s, 5 c.

I was interested to learn of this task. I'd wandered into Timorous just to kill some green bandits to build Inhabitants of Firiona Vie faction on my 60 Iksar monk. Discovered these swabbies and yes, they're slow to solo but I could do it. (Ended up bringing in a two-boxed cleric to help, since both were getting xp for these.)

So like I said, I'm interested to learn I could be assigned this as a task. I'll have to see if I can find a Task Master outside the Outpost (where I'm KoS) who'll assign this to me. The added xp from the task would make this very worthwhile, especially if the cleric takes the same task so the kills count for both.

Edit: After talking dozens of times to TMs in OT and DL, I've concluded that I can't get this at my level (59-60). This page does say level 65, but i don't know what range the Task system uses. I guess I'll keep trying as I level up.

This was the first task I did when OoW came out. In my opinion it was a let-down. I was under the impression that the tasks could be soloed. As a 65 Warrior I could easily take out the light blue mobs that this quest required; the problem I have with it is that there is seemingly no balance to the task. Where I a 65 caster/petclass this task would be a pushover, but with no way to heal myself other than bandages and Healing Will Discipline this task soon proved not only near impossible without outside help but sadly unenjoyable.

I hear a lot about how the Tasks are not soloable and I have to disagree. The few that I have done at as a 59 Beastlord have been soloable. Now don't start off with the whole "yes, but you are a pet class" flame. I didn't say they were easy and/or quick. So you as a warrior had to sit and heal, sorry but that was your choice when you picked a warrior. The point is that you DID do it solo right? Agreed that with support it would have been "easier and faster" but that is the whole strategy behind SOE, to encourage "community" play. The task system just proves that they still are a long ways off from catering to the soloist since I still could not complete my tasks in one sitting (generally 2 hours)
As far as the unenjoyable part.../agree
