Beanalle Banoam may be found at -440, +220, +90. You must have already completed steps 0-13 to accomplish this step of the quest.

1-3 x Cracked Shard of Power drops every time from Tunat`Muram Cuu Vauax, the boss of Tacvi. Bring it back to Beanalle Banoam to receive Condensed Shard of Power.

Beanalle Banoam says 'Ah, perfect. I am glad you were successful in finding it. Now, if you wil give me one second I will condense the shard into concentrated energy which you can add to your stone. There we are. Please take the time to attach this, but make sure you do it in the order I mentioned when we first spoke.'

You then combine the Condensed Shard of Power with your class archetype-specific Smooth Black Matter Gemstone with Vaifan's Clockwork Gemcutter Tools in Vaifan's Experimental Sealer to craft a class archetype-specific reward. Upon the final combine, you see in yellow text:

The gem resonates with power as the shards placed within glow unlocking all the stone's power. You were successful in assembling the stone and now if it is ever lost Fezbin will return it to you whenever you hail him.

Reward(s):
Caster - Black Gemstone of Death - (Recipe)
Melee - Black Gemstone of Pain - (Recipe)
Hybrid - Black Gemstone of Suffering - (Recipe)
Priest - Black Gemstone of Torture - (Recipe)

If you are doing these quests and hitting targets as they are available and do the quest dialogues and turn ins later, the Shard of Dark Matter for this particular quest Identifies as
Item Lore: A Shard of Dark Matter That Glows Brightly With Power

Final shard name

When you hand the Tacvi shard to Baenalle Banoam, he hands you back Condensed Shard of Power (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=47433) to make your final combine for the completed BiC.

Exact same text he gives for Inktu`ta and Txevu.

No faction hits.

Can anyone speak from FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE (ie. you did it yourself) as to whether the turn in order at the end has been corrected?

According to the BiC writeup that is on the web that everyone seems to copy and copy and copy, it says that under Step #14: Due to a bug, it seems that the combine order for Txevu and Tacvi has been permuted. In other words, you need to combine the Tacvi piece first, then the Txevu one.

What I'm curious about is that the author chose the word "combine" not "turn in." It makes me wonder how this final combine and turn in sequence works.

Do you turn in the pieces in order, ie Qvic then Inktuta then Txevu then Tacvi. Then when you combine them to make augments u combine Qvic + Inktuta, then result + Tacvi, then result + Txevu? Is that what is meant?

Yes, it was fixed; 14th shard + Jagged Black Matter Gemstone is DNC. Have fun trying to get Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk's shard !

read my post right under yours but i will tell you how i did it i handed the Qvic piece to the NPC and the combined it and then the inkuta piece and combined it and so on in order steps 11 to 14 if you read the text that the NPC gives its very clear. and as for your question about the tacvi piece 1st then the texvu i did NOT do it like that.

ok i just completed the final combine and the condensed shard of power is what you get back upon handing any of the steps 11 to 14 but the NPC specifically says to do the hand ins in order 1 at a time, now when you hand in the shards he says the same thing on all four of them however upon the final combine ( step 14 ) you recieve text in yellow that says "The gem resonates with power as the shards placed within glow unlocking all the stone's power. You were successful in assembling the stone and now if it is ever lost Fezbin will return it to you whenever you hail him."

Tunat always drops 1-3 shards. The dialog and the item you get from Beanalle is identical to Step #13.

When, if ever, does the Condensed Shard of Power come into play?

Handing in the Cracked Shard of Power results in recieving a Condensed Shard of Power, which you combine with your Smooth Black Matter Gemstone for final augment.

The Cracked Shard (and such Qvic, Inktu'ta, Txevu shards) must be handed in to Beanalle Banoam to recieve the "condensed" version, which is then combined for next augment.

I just got my bic piece off of tunat last week, sad thing is I am still missing the piece from the zun in txevu =( I am hoping my guild will kill that zun someday soon so i and a few guildies up to that step will be able to finish all of our BiC. When i finally get it, if i remember, i will turn my /log on and post it here.

Also, my guild has just started to farm Tunat, we decided after farming anguish we could beat the crap out of him and we can, so we have only killed him twice and the first time he dropped 3 bic pieces, second time he dropped 2. The drops seem VERY common but then again we have only killed him twice =)
Has anyone?

I see that this item is lore and that in earlier version of it that it says "Item Lore: 10 of 14 sockets have been filled". Has anyone tried to do the quest again to see if the lore kills the second one? Would be way nice to get the half way through versions, but very unlikely I would be able to.

Last night I finished this quest.

As near as I can tell the Cracked Shard of Power for BIC drops every time, or at least it has on each of our Tunat kills.

When you turn it in to Beanalle you get back a Condensed Matter Shard the same as the Qvic, Txevu and Inktu'ta turn-ins.
Yeah.
