Kutin's Key is a no-drop key acquired by fishing in The Abysmal Sea from the Queen of Thorns.
Take the key to Kutin Pyskar, located in the main hall behind and to the right of Morden Rasp. His location is -56.59, -46.197. Upon handing in the key: Kutin Pyskar says, 'You found my key! Where was it? Now how did it get there? No matter, you have returned it.' Kutin opens the chest with the key you just found for him. 'Take this. I found it while adventurin' somewhere. It isn't much, but take it as a reward for findin' my key.' You gain experience! Reward was Potion of Transformation (Troll Illusion). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

sounds like you were on the Thorn of the Tides which is the boat that briefly docks up to the fishing area here in Abysmal. And to answer your question, no you can't fish from the boat, only on the dock.

There is a platform at the back of the ship that u have to go down, I found out that platform is the only place I can fish there
Did they nerf fishing in Abysmal Sea now? I have tried on the platform, on the boat, all I get is the 'Are you tryin to catch land sharks perhaps?' message. Would like to try this quest, but if they broke yet ANOTHER quest, then why not change the name to BrokenQuest.
grrr ... I am standing in The Abysmal Sea at loc n56.40, n47.10, p157.95 (looking at L'diava Rexxen) and there is no Kutin on track. Is this npc gone?
Dont know the location for him, bu t when you come in by magus teleport, he is on a back room there. The magus is in the front room. just go to the hall, and take a right hand door. he is in a second room further in. Kutin, btw, is a dwarf. he was there as of the beginning of september. turned in a key to get a potion

I was fishing for like a week straight before they nerfed it grrr. I caught this key like 10 times. Had no idea what it was had my roommate look it up and he was crackin up! So, he showed me wear to turn it in at. I did got this potion and used it when my in game husband was about to zone in. There I was Southerncomfort a high elf cleric standing as a troll his only question was "Dear did you break another pole and do you need caffiene?" Anyhow, it's a fun little quest to do.

Wtf... if Sony only had a problem with people selling these potions, then why didn't they just make them no-drop? Why LORE?? The only reason to do that is to be an a-hole to those that pay them money, wtg Sony.

Before the nerf, You could have made a 10 shot from the potion. It was the exact same thing as you would make from alchmey. However, after the nerf they are the LDoN No Drop Troll Potions. So they are lore and cannot be gathered :/

The reason they Nerf this kind of thing is because people got to PoK and talk in ooc for 3 hours about how much plat they are making off this. Also people announce on some of the most popular website message boards out there about it.

This is now nerfed. You no longer get a sellable troll pot, you now get a no drop transformation pot on Test.
Guess 57pp an hour was to much profit, then again 7pp fish every 10 sec is ok.

I would like to confirm, that on Zeb we are getting the same thing. The zone was taken down early this morning for about an hour and that's when I belive they took the Nerf Bat to Kutin Pyskar. Real shame too, I was getting between 2-8 an hour...
I would also like to add that the Potion of Transformation has a LORE tag on it, which in my opinion, is a bit dumb, what are we supposed to do with all our extra keys? Destroy them all? They are pretty common at 200 and I certainly don't want them sitting in the bank taking up a slot each.

These are uncommmon, in about 3 hours of constant fishing with 22 stacks of grubs, at 175 to 186 skill I got 15 of these keys.

Not sure what the drop rate on this key is. I have gotten as many as 6 in an hour and as little as 1 in an hour.
My Druid "Druraw of EATCO" currently has a fishing skill of 200 with an additional + mod using the Fishermans Campanion.
One thing I did see. If I just use normal bait I get more small fish as well as fewer keys. But If I grab the Catch-alot Biat from POK and get more of the 10+lb fish as well as a few more keys.
For a night of just fishing (Was not into fighting that night) I was making about 700 PP up to 1.2K PP in about an hour. But this was done by non-stop fishing.

Ok, started at Skill 1 and didn't catch the key till skill exceeded 151.
Either I'm unlucky or it takes a 150+ to get key.

Has anyone done this yet? I have fished but never gotten the key. The item would be great if the key was found. Stacks of them for regen and fun at guild parties!

you get them fishing in abysmal sea, i hooked 4 of them in little under an hour
