As of the September 19, 2006 patch, to learn a discipline, simply right-click on it.

Formerly: As of the December 18, 2003 patch, to learn a discipline, melee and hybrid classes must turn in the dropped, bought or quested book for the particular discipline to their appropriate guildmaster.

Vendors for some of these disciplines can be found in the Plane of Knowledge library and Commonlands tunnel.

GoD Discs
# Jun 18 2007 at 11:35 PM Rating: Decent
Are the GoD tomes researchable like the spells or is there any way to aquire them without gettin access to high end GoD zones?
Not all tomes are right clickable
# Feb 02 2007 at 3:32 AM Rating: Decent
I just finished Skylance 3 and got my lvl 70 Aura. I went to right click it and nothing. I turned it into the Warrior guild master in PoK and learned the Aura and was able to use it.

So you cannot right click all tomes to learn. Some still require a turn-in.
How do I use this skill?
# Oct 24 2006 at 4:17 AM Rating: Decent
I bought this tome and right-clicked on it and it told me I learned it. Now, how do I use it? I pressed Ctrl-C to bring up the combat window, but i don't see the skill there.

There is a little button on the right side of hte Combat window just above the far right top slot, when you click on it it will bring up a list of all the combat abilities you know.
no longer a turn in
# Oct 21 2006 at 4:33 PM Rating: Decent
You no longer have to do turn ins to Aquire the skill just right click on them in the inventory to learn them

Actually, the GoD tomes ARE quested. You have to go out and kill mobs, find the item and turn em in for the tomes.

Arguably it is a quest, since you have to go collect something and hand in for a reward. Alla has to put it into a category for it to appear on the site. What would you make it, a spell? a monster?

I checked out the list for warrior disiplines. There are many that I cannot seem to find. Most of them are for the lower lvls. Like Head Bach, Stomp, Muscle Shock. However, also cannot find some ot the 50+ ones, like Power Slam, Slice, Crippling strike. Does anyone know if these still exist, if so where can I find them?

Some of the War discs are a level off:

Evasive is 52, Charge 53, Mighty Strikes 54, and Defensive is 55.

Nice chart.

The Bellow and Evasive for the Warriors are reversed, but great job.

Resistant was changed to level 51 for Paladins on 2/10/2004. The button doesn't have any effect when pressed now on my level 38 Paladin.

If you can re-edit you're missing the level 20 pure melee "provoke" discipline: Tome of Provoke

It certainly gets the mobs attention with my baby WAR (24).

1/4/04 - Ah I see you did. Thank you for an excellent chart :-)

Anyone else have trouble doing the turn-in part in POK, I play a dwarf war and the GM War trainer is a dwarf as well, but he would not accept my books. Had to hope over to Kaladim to turn them in. Anyone else experience this?

Not only that but the tomes for the old discs only cost 2 CP each.

personally, I think thats well worth it, to get the new melee window, the multiple timers on discs, and the awesome new taunt abilities (very impressed with the difference these make, and my 52 warrior only has bellow. With this I was able to hold aggro in a group of almost all lvl 65s in PoM.

It seems that they are. However I got the first one for my 15, (now 20), warrior. I haven't determined exactly how it works yet. I think you need to do it when you are at rest and healing. As for the lvl 20 one where you yell obsenities, seems kind of silly but maybe it will work. :)
RE: level
# Dec 23 2003 at 12:09 AM Rating: Decent
no i know the lowest one is for level 10, but the low ones don't help much, (other than heal, which act like reg (5 ticks a second). But mostg are for upper levels

Is there an table or some organized chart showing all the disciplines that a bard has for example?

It would be nice.

Or is there someone willing to make one. Just a lazy EQ addict here.

enjoy

http://lucy.allakhazam.com has all the effects listed under the spell lists for each class.

Click warrior on the bottom left side of the screen, and it will list the disciplines/skills/whatever ya wanna call its.

Bards have the following disciplines available, in no particular order: Resistant, Puretone, Deftdance, Fearless.
