With Illusion Iksar, I was still KOS to the Crusaders. 100 bone chips make me OK with the Crusaders except Crusader Quarg in Field of Bone and the Shaman Guild. Although it will not work with most people, treeform makes me indifferent to the Crusaders. 200 bone chips and Benevolence, and I am still KOS to him.
A quick way to turn in the chips is to put them in a backpack in stacks of 4. Then you don't have to worry about counting out 4, just accept the stack and give it. Bone chips do not have to be separate.

I tried to give bones to Trooper but he kills me, how do you do this without good faction?

I'm trying to turn in my 3k worth of chips, but I'm being hampered by the wandering Crusaders?? Any clue what their agro range is? Do they use their HT on critters that they are killing when they go strolling? Can they summon? Seems like a terribly hard manuver to turn in bones (I'm doing it 16 at a time which seems to work)

Once you have good enough faction with troopers its rumored you need to hand in 3000 bone chips to get faction good enough to buy and sell in Cabilis and move freely about.
I've handed in 1000, Troopers are indifferent to me, Crusaders are still ready to attack and vendors are now dubious

I've been killing Sarnaks, gobbos, and outlaw Iksar forever, and I still get scowls from the guards. Can non-Iksar go up to this NPC without getting scrotted?

Yes you can...I am now amiable to troopers and still KOS to crusaders

i have seen and found this to be the most common way for Fleshys to get faction in the city also killing Gobs in the woods or lake also helps
