If you would [return these staff pieces] I can then reconstruct my staff and use it to counteract the barrier surrounding my quarters.' You say, 'I will return these staff pieces.' a domesticated chokidai (spent the whole day in there and only got the drop when I killed these guys, which I had been avoiding).
Actually, the ranged reward is also a mob drop off another named in same zone (Vxed) - had 3 words in its name, can't recall atm...
So save yoruself the crappy trouble and go for the named instead if you really need that ranged thing.

Both this and Baelin's Gem Kit have been reported as dropping in Vxed and Tipt. The best guess is that this is because of some typos during GoD itemization. Make sure to /bug this, as it should only be found in Chardok B.

I have gotten the right hilt in the last week or so, In fact we got 2 while hunting near zone in area and bridge.

I was in a very fast paced group here on Bristlebane last night, and 3 of us were able to complete the quest. I can verify that number 1 does drop, although the gems drop off of random mobs and in very random order. Took some of us quite a few tried to get the last gem though.

while hunting for the components of this quest i found it best to stick outside of the castle for the staves of suffering and inside the house for the glimmering gems.

the first gem dropped today after patch from inside castle. when all 4 gems are put into gem kit you get baelin gem but keep bag. turning this in gets no spawn just xp and range spot item black enchanted amulet ac 10, 10 int, 10 wis, 10 dex, 5 sta, 50 hp, 50 mana, 10 svc, 10 svd, 20 svp all/all lore no drop. get them while you can.
oh by the way bag is not no drop just lore and reusuable.

...Is needed here. This pocket dungeon isn't going to be here forever, so we need to know if the damn thing is going to be fixed. Let's hope the 6th Aug patch does the business...
gem bag is a container with a combine button. I have guessed it needs to be cominbed before a turn in. It will not combine with 3 gems only, I have tried that.
I've spent many an hour in ChardokB, collected enough for a whole group of gems. There are four staffs followed by four gems you need to get. All staffs drop, turn them in for a jewel bag, and all jewels (2,3 and 4 when identified) drop. However, no number ones ever. I have collaborated with the others that frequent the zone and #1 is never to be found. So I have to assume that it's a buggy quest, or that there is some trick. We've tried everything I could think of though. On a side note, the "sword" quest where you have to get four parts to a sword is also bugged. The left hilt, dulled blade and runed blade all drop, but never a right hilt. I have both my characters I duo every piece to the quests but jewel #1 and right hilt. Grrr bark bark Grrr yourself EQ!

I have spent alot of time in the zone and have been all throughout it and have yet to find gem #1 or the right hilt. I hope they fix this soon so that we can finish the quest.

i have been told last gem has dropped but i can't confirm either way at the moment also is it me or is something wrong with the halls of betrayal link on the site here?
ok we got confirmation that both gem and right sword hilt are missing from game at the moment from 2 full GMs they said they are working on it.

I agree, there seems to be a bug with one of the Gems... joined a fast-paced XP and loot group a day ago without any Gems. The guys already in it said I would have to wait my turn on the Gems, as they had three peeps already waiting for just one. Needless to say, after an hour or two, I was *also* on three Gems, waiting for the *same* last one to drop... :(
there seems to be a prob with second part of quest in that glimmering gems id as 1 thru 4 but 1 does not seem to drop has anyone seen this have been in zone sense patch and have not been able to find this gem and if so what happens when turn in gem bag?
