::chuckle:: Well, folks.. it may not be the best BP in the game, but it sure is a nice one. The BP goes for about 18 - 25k on Druzzil Ro. I acquired a "Red Dragon Scales" dropped from one of the red draggys for a Chetari Bonecrafted Shield (15 - 20k item on Druzzil Ro). I dunno about you, but if I cannot get 30 - 50k from the scale itself from folks doing their epics who don't want to wait for a roll in their guild or their guild to be big enough.. then I'll simply make a BP for my rogue. Come on, folks. +20 STR is decent. =) This item IS droppable, it IS expensive, and it IS sellable.
As for the vial of swirling smoke.. my suggestion is to find a vendor you are ally with, or at least amiable. Easiest one I found is the gal near the dark elf bank in Neriak... for 15 - 20 stacks of red wine in the infamous red wine quest, you can be ally with the "DarkBargainers".. the faction she's on :) Get your local inky or enchanter friend to do it.. give em a nice cha buff. Make sure their cha is over 100 for the best price. Talk to your local enchanter or shaman for that one. You will save money if you do it right. ;) For Kyiri, the prices vary between 1050 and 1300-ish for the vial... which, BTW, has a single charge of Gate, and will vanish and gate you if you click on it. (That's what expendable means.) :) That is with 130 - 140 cha, and amiable faction in her wood elf home in Kelethin.
For the folks who say this BP sux0r... who can resist a half elf rogue smirking at you in full red? ;) (Rubicite compliments this very nicely.) I know that even while Velious armor is better.. this was PRE Velious armor. None of my little alts will be getting Velious quest armor for a long, long time :) And 20 STR is nice for almost any melee class :) If you are missing stats because of a BP you are wearing... go buy some decent jewelry to fix it ;)

Karam Dragonforge says 'Dragon scales make terrfic armor. I can make a [white dragonscale cloak] and [red dragonscale armor]. I have not seen any other colored dragon variants around. But if you see any, be sure to let me know. I would be interested in what can be made from their scales.' You say, 'What red dragonscale armor?' I might also point out that 10 MR and FR are quite nice for them fire dragons too (though speaking from a person whose guild is able to do epic quests, I'd rather go for those spiffy blades myself)

You say this is crap? You do realise this quest was around before epics right? Does that bring a sense of reality to you? Price for a scale would have gone up because of introducing epics if this scale is even droppable. It might be ac21 but I think that +20 str might make it somewhat useful. I don't know about you but I still see a fair few ppl running around in Rygorr breasst plates and I have a feeling the +10 str is a major factor there. I am sure if other people besides the epic questers could get hold of a scale they would do this quest.

Is this the same scale that classes use for their epic quests? If so I dont thin you will see anymore of these ever being quested!

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to use the red wurmscale(s) that can be purchased from vendors? Wouldbe an expensive experiment if it failed but a wonderful result if it somehow worked.

Scale is for the Bard/Warrior Epic so it os very Hard to get off of someone.
Drops off of Lord Nagafen, And he is KoS to Everyone. there is no Looting Rights Becuase the Scale ISNT no drop. Scale also Drops of 2 other Mobs.(I will leave that to you, 35 warrior to find out) It Takes 25+ People to take this Guy Down, Depending on the Skill of the People and the Leadership of the Raid Leader. After the Raid it is rolled for.(If not called for by a Guild member).
ok After you get that! (if you get it)lol. you will have to Buy a Vial of Swirling Smoke FROM THE VENDORS! Get a Chanter to Buy it for 1050pp.
Next Step is to have 1000 extra pp. Go to Rathe Mounts and Talk to the Dude. he said he will make you some Dragonsclae Armor if you Bring him ---> one red dragonscale, one vial of swirling smoke, and 1000pp. he needs it to Impress his Hoe or Something. I heard he was a Dwarven Pimp.

Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

Actually, on Tholuxe Paells, almost every time he goes down, the zone has to be reset shortly afterwards for some reason. I've been in the zone (though not going after Nagafen) when it's happened before.

the vials aren't in "shaman supply shops" they are potion shops and they don't sell any ingredients for alchemy
Costs me a flat 1250pp for a vial with CHA 60. Guess if I want one, I'll have to talk to an Enchanter friend to get it at a discount. :)

i have seen them in KELETHIN all the time off vendors but be ready to drop atleast 1.5k on these things, that is for me i got LOW cha so might be different for you guys, just make a NEW charc and put ALL points into CHA to buy it 8) what i do for gems and stuff

THE SCALE IS NOT NO DROP! I just got it today on povar. it looks like a loose scale (like you would find on a Scaled wolf) and Weight is 2.5 magic Item. FYI!
Wonder how much I'd have to pay for looting rights on one?

The vial is a gate potion, that can be bought from any of the shaman supply stores, where they shell herbs and other potions.

If you see a vender with a bunch of weird shaped bottles, look for it. Too bad they cost around 1300 plat, they are lore..so much for tank evacs. But it'd be worth it for the BP, you can buy the scale, but most people that get one do the quest. Thanks to the epic quests red dragon scales are going to go poof from the market.
